I adore this spot! They provide excellent dishes, they have a rich menu, The chef in that restaurant is very trained, I enjoy very much tasting all their food. The dishes are always fresh and tasty, the attitude towards the clients is very good too. I frequently visit this restaurant and I not even once was discontended. Highly recommended.
We went there to celebrate a birthday and all five of us were very happy with our food. We ordered the assorted Mediterranean appetizers and it was very delicious. The stake and lam stew were really yummy but we went to the Cafe Ches Marie because they have more desert choices. The place was very busy on a Saturday night, a little dark but it is great for romantic dates however. The service is superb. You can't really go wrong with this restaurant.
Good service, good food! Nothing to complain about, didn't blow my socks off either. Solid 4 stars out of 5!
This place is soo good! A little pricey but for the food makes it makes sense. Would reccomend 100%. I had the eggs Benedict and it was even better than what I was hoping. They have an outdoor set up, tables are separated a good deal away.
Very nice little brunch spot right on Santa Monica Blvd. It s tucked in a little bit so it s easy to miss but it s worth the time. Ample outdoor seating but be sure you make a reservation. The portions are good but the prices are a little high. $16 for eggs Benedict and $5.75 for a cappuccino. Very friendly staff as well!
I absolutely loved their food and customer service, awesome area nearby to my residence. The staff members are always very friendly. Highly recommended.
Lovely mango pecan salad. Very beautiful garden setting with a lot of French flavor.
No matter which state I am in, I always eat here. Prices are great, portions are wonderfully sized, customer service usually excellent.
This is a hidden gem on Santa Monica Blvd even though it's been there forever - the building is even a registered historical landmark. A little breath of fresh French country in the midst of the bustling city. The proprietors are very warm, good food & wine.
I love this place! Flowers everywhere , cobblestone patio, French food and music. Inside it is a cozy room with fireplace and isolated places to eat.
The menu is different from the usual American cuisine and is more "European". Bread is great, wine is great, food great. Prices are very reasonable. For 2 of us, we paid about 40.00 (coffee, wine, food). I am waiting for someone to invite me back.
Stopped in for brunch today for a friend s birthday. It was so quaint and delicious. Very eclectic menu in an amazing cottage type atmosphere. I recommend sitting outside if the weather permits. Thank you for the great experience Cafe Chez Marie!
Food is delightful & it's an adorable real cottage; even has it's very own wishing well
Delicious waffles and eggs benedict, friendly service, lots of pleasant outdoor seating.
This is most definitely a place you want to visit. The food is great, the wine is amazing and the service is A!!!
Amazing experience! For about an hour, this place and the staff took us to a quaint little french town serving morrocan inspired french food in LA. Delicious food, particularly Tagine Poulet.
We had a lovely time in Cafe Chez Marie, the atmosphere was very special and European and the food we ate was delicious. Very nice place and we recommend to all.
The owner needs to be nicer to people with kids, ruin the whole experience
Very charming atmosphere, but it took the waiter almost 45 minutes to take our order, and that was after directly asking them. We also had to ask for menus and drinks after sitting at the table for 10-15 minutes. The restaurant was 3/4 empty. I don t understand that.
Excellent place for quality french food. Definitely worth going back to. Bring your hunger - portions are large.
I just enjoy their dishes. I always get excellent service there. The place is well kept and the employees are always very nice. Would recommend to others.
Great authentic French cafe in a rustic cottage setting
Beautiful garden atmosphere and wonderful food. This is a little hidden gem that acts as the perfect getaway from the business of West LA.
This place is a Hidden Jem. Excellent service and food
Lovely and tranquil, lovely food and the owners were a joy to meet.
Very good service and excellent food and presentation.
Amazing food. Amazing staff. I go here at least once a week if not more. One of the best restaurants in LA.
The omelette was so tasty. I enjoyed the ambience. It's a great place to take photos.
Ambiance and service are perfect match with delicious foods. We had awesome lunch in a hidden village right in the city. Thanks
We drive 35 miles for one of the most quaint restaurants in L.A. Excellent food, great service and for a little while you feel like you're not in Los Angeles.
Ordered the Eggs Benedict and friend ordered the Eggs Norwegian. We both agreed that these were some of the best eggs we've had in the area.
Cafe Chez Marie is one of my favorite brunch spots in LA! Steve and Marie are so lovely, and the food is so good! (I strongly recommend the Ouefs Cocotte - worth the wait!) The outdoor, patio seating is wonderful & the service is very good.
Food is absolutely fantastic. Location and atmosphere great. A very unique place for Los Angeles.
The restaurant staff were very nice, however this place is really just a tourist trap. The scenery and atmosphere are pleasant, but they aren't investing in the quality of food you'd expect at the price they are charging. They have a nice range of food options, actually.
However they just do not deliver on quality of ingredients or taste at the modern standard you expect of a restaurant in LAnat this price point.
In short, you're paying for historical atmosphere and scenery, and the staff are nice and play this part of the value up.
Fantastic service and delicious food! Definitely recommend for brunch.
french food and the setting at this location is super good. i've had nothing but pleasant experiences here and plan to keep coming back.
Food was very good. Service good even with a taste of French attitude. Very lovely atmosphere. Worth going to.
I love this place, I tired the baked eggs it really delicious and the plate has everything fruit and jam it perfect!
Nice calm place to have a mini taste of French dining. Experience it at least once. Food is alright.
I loved this place. It is so quaint...a little place of Paris. The staff are great and speak French so the experience is fantastic. I highly recommend this place. It's a hidden gem
Nice, outside, French style, but not only, full meal Cafe in Westwood.
Beautiful setting, outside sheltered tables make you feel like you are in the French countryside. No street noise or traffic from Santa Monica Blvd because seating is behind the building They have special menus for special days. Pro Tip: make reservations for weekends and holidays. They might be able to take you as a walk in, but seating won't be in an ideal spot. Pro Tip 2: park on the street. Meters are cheaper and closer than validated garage. $4.50 for 2 hrs vs $1 an hour.
Cute spot, nice selection of items in the menu for both breakfast options and lunch. We sat out in the back which was lovely but the flies made it difficult to enjoy our food. They were all over our table and we probably spent more time swatting them away than actually eating. Not sure why the owners don't use some fly deterrent it could very simply solve that situation... Anyway the food was good but it was hard to focus on enjoying it :|
One of the best french restaurant in the area. Very intimate setup, the seating arrangement situated behind the building makes it even more remote, private and authentic.
Nice little quaint place on busy SaMo Blvd in a small alley/walk through. Very French, nice selection on menu and decent prices. I got the eggs Benedict, eggs cooked great, hollandaise was pre-made, and very enjoyable. Worth a visit.
This place is effing fantastic! I came here on Father's Day, but I will be coming back as a regular. The crepes were amazing, they make a pretty decent latte, and the waitstaff and owner were super cordial to us. To the other reviewers complaining about price, it's authentic French cuisine in Century City/Westwood, not the Taco Bell dollar menu. What did you expect?
Nice country style french dishes, plus Moroccan with breakfast mixed in. A little on the pricey side though. They hit you with extras that you would think should come with your meal. Example when ordering the eggs Benedict you would assume the potatoes come with the meal but they're extra. Little things like that that bug me. Anyway rant concluded.
cute oasis, the bathroom was so inspiring in the afternoon, I wanted to stay in there and start writing a romance novel.
Horrible, offensive and pessimistic owner. I had a birthday lunch here and she was beyond rude to our table. I am shocked that someone as rude as her is still in business. She didn't offend me in particular but the way that she spoke to my friends and family was very upsetting. I also overheard another customer complaining that the restaurant had lost her credit card - and although it was the fault of the restaurant, no one apologized. I really regret celebrating my birthday here. Marie made it very unpleasant! :(
A really cool spot by the road. Feels like you're in a small European town. Good breakfast food as well.
Cute but eas closed when i went to try due to fires
Excellent cuisine, polite and helpful waiters, but the owner of the restaurant spoiled the whole impression! Very rude and aggressive character. It is a pity that I do not want to come there because of him. I do not advise you to communicate with him, if you have already come to the cafe. And yes, a little expensive!
The food is truly exquisite! If you are looking for a special breakfast place this is it! Quaint French country cafe, feel with wonderful mushroom crepes to match! Marie is warm and friendly and greets everyone like they are family! Every single item on the menu is magnificent! My favorite are the waffles....This is a must visit!
Like the south of france gorgeous flowers on the outside seating i also recommend family room upstairs of course the food fantastic....
Tried this spot in the past with a friend and I am hooked ever since. I enjoyed the fantastic ambience and flavorful food and drinks. Keep it up.
Love this restaurant. It's so charming, very French, great staff and great menu
Owner is rude. Food is overpriced for the quality. Only redeeming thing for the restaurant is the location.
Wonderful place in the most least likely spot in west LA. The patio literally transforms you to a backroad cafe in Paris. The host and owner is delightful. Scenery alone is worth the effort to come here.
Grab a drink and relax in the European setting.
Nice historic preserved cottages surrounding a courtyard. French style salads, crepes and sandwiches.
Nice building and courtyard. Eggs are very good. Coffee could be better.
Waiters with French accent, Parisian bistro chairs outside in garden setting. Fresh..no, really freshly prepared food. Perfectly poached eggs...unordinary breakfast potatoes. Coffee so fresh it's made per request. Also offering Moroccan food like merguez and chicken tagine.
They have very authentic French food and a pretty little place .
Great food, every dish I had at Cafe chez Marie tested and presented well.
Staff is awesome, courteous and well trained. Nice little charming place.
Amazing, incredible gourmet French style bistro (sounds conflicted but isn't) owner is a beauty w food and guests.
A favorite location for delicious french food. it's so appetizing. i'll return friends next time. prices are reasonable.
I see some mixed reviews, and I have ordered quite a few different dishes, here, over the years. Some have been great, some have been so-so, but I never regret going, especially now that I know what I like from their menu.
There are a lot of regulars that come quite often, and the owner is very charming, in her own way ^^
Quaint brunch spot. Higher than average price but serine atmosphere.
Artistically made, great food, at a comfortable price
This is a gem of a place! Let me start with the setting: A beautiful old French-style home that has been kept almost intact, with a beautiful interior but an even better exterior in a cute backyard! The staff were more than friendly, professional and accommodating. Finally and most importantly the food was super good. I had the Chez Marie which is a croissant filled with cheese, eggs, bacon. Heaven! Great experience!
Excellent location for delicious french food. There was quick and friendly service. Not close to my job, I wish it was.
Great authentic food, lovely wait staff and nice atmosphere.
Best spot in the area for a nice brunch or always enjoyable for a French lunch.
The decor is beautiful. Outdoor is good. Service is medium. Eggs Florentine for breakfast is good, others are okay. It is bad that orange juice is concentrated.
Horrible service, very over priced. This place is awful
