Not much of a selection, basic stuff, overcooked buffet food

The food is awesome! The staff are helpful and friendly.

Food is good. Environment is great with amazing view.

My first impression of the exterior and interior of the dining hall was, "wow that's very nice". The food however, is mediocre, overpriced, overcooked and sometimes undercooked. The pizzas are not fresh daily, you can tell by the taste that they have been reused from the day before. The dining hall from what I heard from a friend that works there, barely passed the health inspection. The dining hall allegedly suffered from cross contamination in the meats, so vegans and vegetarians beware. Furthermore, the burgers are incredibly bland. I either receive a bland overcooked burger or a bland undercooked burger that when I bite into it tastes like oily mush. The fries that accompany it are decent, the ones that come with the asada fries are better. I don't know why chefs or students don't season their meats like they would the fries. Breakfast is boring, the sausage in the breakfast burritos are incredibly salty. To top it off the chopped up sausage is old leftover sausage from the morning before. The fruit is decent, also bland at times. I don't know how people would feel about knowing that allot of their fruits and vegetables are washed with antifungals. Nonetheless, it's convenient.

Nothing but positive vibes here. Friendly staff, fairly tasty food, and did I mention friendly staff? The workers there are the best!

Overpriced. You easly spend 15$+ just for lunch here. Preying on students...

Tasty and varied options and would be 5 stars if not for the location and price.

A great selection of food, and wonderful service, from my experience (apart from an occasional long wait - mostly for in-high-demand stir fry this quarter). My personal favorite place to eat on campus. :)

They never cook their chicken and their meats fyi, it's almost completely inedible so if you want to pick up food make sure to cook it before you eat it!!

Cafe V offers a great view to see the Glider port and Salk Institute. I normally go there to enjoy the view instead of the food. The quality of the food is what you will normally expect from a dining hall. Check out the HDH menu if you are picky about their daily special.

Not much to say. Some days it's good, some days there's more to be desired. The view is always beautiful.

Inconsistent serving sizes of terrible, bland, overcooked/dry food for high prices. Some of the student staff (Javier) are extremely unfriendly and rude.

The food is good but very repetitive, however, there is a great atmosphere.

As a dining hall, I have no opinion (I've only gotten water here).

But as a meeting place, this is a great facility! Shoutout to JSA for their Japanese Conversation Hours, which used to take place here :)

Expansive but one of the best dining halls oncampus.

Food is often not very good and very inconsistent. Sometimes I do feel a little sick throughout the day after eating there. Service is pretty robotic besides a few nice longtimers. As a student, I typically avoid it if I can.
