The food was terrible, and the service was slow. Waited 30+ minutes for our table and another 30 to get our food. Go anywhere else. Won't be back

The food here is so fresh and delicious. The price is certainly not bad for what you're getting.

Not a bad place but also not up there for a brunch place on Melrose in my opinion. The latte tea was really good but the brownie hash which I was looking forward to was just so so - nothing I couldn t easily make by myself at home and had to use ketchup to make it taste better. The avocado toast was also just ok. Service and abience were good. Prices on par.

I was excited to try this place, had a bad experience.
Our order took forever to get to our table. I ordered pancakes, they were horrible, i think Denise pancakes are far better quality, the coffee was not strong. I ask for butter and got ice cold butter to spread on my cold pancakes

Had the "gone bananas" waffles and an iced caramel latte. It was all delicious and will definitely be coming back. I liked the atmosphere and one of the clerks reminded me of David Cross (he SOUNDED and acted just like him )

Very unprofessional and rude crew. We came to check the menu and left after exchanging few words with the stuff. They don't want you there.

Fine spot for tasty brunch. got there near six, it wasn't packed at all. reminds me of a cafe in chicago i liked to visit.

Please come here on a empty stomach because they give you plenty of fresh delicious food. If you are in LA you need to stop by here! And the customer service is amazing. The two guys who took my order was very friendly

Brunch, yeah, super good. Visited about four, it was not full. I'll return with my friends. The prices are good for what you get. Mood here reminds me of San Diego's scene.

I went here for my birthday. It was really busy, but didn t take long to get an outside seat. The food was good and came out pretty fast. And the workers were all so nice. I m not from LA but this would be a regular spot I would go to if I was!

Good breakfast/lunch spot with a big selection. I enjoyed the breakfast burrito with chicken and side of potatoes to start and had a croissant french toast with fresh fruit on top for dessert. Both dishes were flavorful and fresh.

They also serve Lavazza coffee, so that put a smile on my face. Nothing like great quality coffee to go with a tasty breakfast.

This place is popular and gets busy, so come prepared.

Love the decor inside! The service was great as well, kind and caring staff.

Fratelli Cafe and their chicken Apple sausage! Worth the line all by itself! I stopped in here to grab a bite after the Bay to Breakers race and it is well worth it.

The Bacon And Hash Is Really Good, Great Flavors, And Good Portion Size.
The Chicken And Waffles Not So Good, In My Opinion Chicken Needs More Flavor And Syrup Is Not That Good.
Red Chilaquiles Is Good.
Overall Is A Good Place To Grab Some Brunch With The Family.
I Would Recommend This Place.

Fratelli Cafe was closed today with note on the door, they weren't able to open. This same thing happened to us a few years ago when we were in town from the east coast. Food is fabulous, just make sure you CALL ahead to verify they will be open. We are Fratelli Cafe fans for over 10 years.

Went on a Sunday and although it was packed, utilizing their yelp check in I was pretty much sat down right as I got there. They don't have unlimited mimosa's but for $20 you get the bottle and choice of juice which for two people was plenty and then some. I ordered their blackened chicken breakfast burrito and for me it was lacking in flavor but I also ordered it without cheese so maybe that makes it.

The staff is super friendly, especially if you have a cute dog with you. Great overall experience and would definitely return.

I had one of the best breakfast in my life! I highly recommend this place if you want to have a relaxing time and enjoy your day. I ordered belgian waffle with berries and maple syrup. It was amazing! The berries were fresh and the waffle was the same as in my childhood. I was impressed! Yummy!

It was my first time today and their latte was above par. I expected this place to be another to go coffee shop when I am in a hurry but I think this place can be my regular spot.

The place it's good. I tried the croissant french toast and it was amazing. The staff was friendly and considerate and they were following the strict health protocols.

Amazing service and wonderful breakfast. The food is high quality and comes out quickly.
The decor is really nice and the atmosphere is very relaxed and a great place to go with friends. The huevos rancheros were excellent and the OJ is freshly squeezed.

Badass bar for good drinks, super strong.. I hear their burger is good so will have to return for that. I love the bartenders, they're so much fun!! Outside patio for diners.

Fratelli is perfectly situated at the corner of the street in Melrose, offering a wide seating arrangement from outdoors to indoors.

The Cafe offers a booming array of choices on its menu to fit any palette and the kitchen prepare the food in accordance to your order (which is amazing) for example, my mother is celiac and anything cross contaminated with wheat and gluten will affect her a tremendous amount.
Fratelli's Cafe was more than helpful and highly admirable, in that they happily informed the chef to designate a space in order for her food to be cooked away from any type of wheat flour. Made her GF toast.
I think that this is incredible, especially considering the popularity of the place!!

The food was amazing, and didn't take long at all!!
The staff, are so friendly, caring, they aim to ensure that you have a great experience, and they do a fantastic job of it, with their courteous attitude, and wonderful personality.

The cafe was clean, and filled with art and history.

Yum! So incredibly good. Adorable place. Delicious food ( alla boscaiola without cheese). My wife and I ate here every day for breakfast the last time we visited Los Angeles. Loved the french press. Excited to go back soon. It is a tiny place so expect to wait if you come on a weekend.

I had searched up a couple cafes that had great ratings and based on Fratelli s we decided to come here. The service was nothing short of terrible. We arrived and received the news that the wait would be from 30-45 minutes and we said it was okay. Gave them our number and name. We took almost a 40 minute walk and received no text so we came back to check in and the same host who s name we sadly didn t catch was very rude and inconsiderate of our time. He asked us for our name and claimed he had texted us almost 15 minutes ago and we let him know we received no text because we didn t. We were hoping he would try to find us a table but instead he ignored us and helped other people so we left because we had not ate all day and waited almost an hour just so we wouldn t be helped! The hosts service was awful and just overall was the most terrible experience. FYI: we ended up going over to The Sycamore Kitchen who s 4 1/2 stars were worth the hype. Thanks for a terrible morning!

First stop every time I m in LA! I ve been coming here for years & this place never disappoints.

I order Fratelli Cafe on GrubHub for work, pretty much on a weekly basis. It is always super quick and gets there before the estimated delivery time. Lots of vegetarian options & everything I have had has been delicious. No complaints from my co-workers either. Each plate comes with a salad or diced potatoes on the side. I like to order mine extra crispy!!

GREAT place and the food was fast. I was visting from Houston and enjoyed it.

Fratelli cafe is a horrible place to go to if you have a large group (4 or more). The restaurant only serves liquor on the outside of the venue and as such, limits the ability for a group to have brunch even with reservations. When initially asking the wait time we were told 25mins however after a hour of waiting and complaining to the manager, we were informed that sundays are usually busy and the wait is usually a hour wait to sit. This place may be worth the wait but I would highly recommend going with three people max if you are planning to eat here.

Quick and friendly service. The food was really good. I gave this review a 3 only because I had to fight very bold flies while trying to enjoy my meal (outside seating, Thanks to COVID). That made it hard to enjoy and engage in the full experience. I do look forward to going back when there's indoor seating or the weather has cooled down. I ordered the French toast crossiant which was Ah-mazing, scrambled eggs and bacon. The bacon and eggs could have been shared, as they were a nice portion. I wouldn't have even considered sharing the crossiant, even though I couldn't finish my meal in one setting. Oh and take a friend or an Uber if you plan on having Mimosas. They are worth the value.

Came here based on the numerous indications that they had vegan/vegetarian options and full substitutes. Untrue! No fake meat options here, and they seemed confused as to why I was even asking.

My preferred location for delicious brunch. the food was super appetizing. nothing but pleasant experiences here.

My partner and i had the cholat crepe and Denver omelet, as well as the chicken and waffles. The food was so well prepared and the seasonings on the chicken was so delicious. So on our last day in LA we decided to go her again for the second time. This places sees probly 150 or more people a day, probably alot of tourists like myself. When we came in a second time we honestly didn't think they would remember us from days before. But they did, they were so welcoming and the service was excellent. Small things about just remember a similar face goes along way. I would definitely recommend this place when making a trip to LA.

brunch, so delicious. I wanted to post a food pic but it looked so good I couldn't stop. Prices are fair I would say. Food is like a place in Baltimore I liked.

I split the green egg benedict and the croissant french toast with a friend. They were both so good and the perfect amount of food! Service was awesome, but the tables for 2 were soooo small. I dropped my utensils like 5 times because it just wouldn't fit on the table! Also, FYI, they stop serving benedicts at 1pm, so make sure you leave ample time to get seated and order!

I also liked the bloody mary, but I'd love to try the pomegranate mimosa next time! They ran out and it was only 12pm.

Had a great breakfast here today. Grill cheese and a full American breakfast. Staff were friendly and service was reasonable. Price was good for what we had, would try again.

Decent brunch spot on Melrose. Most things are served all day with the exception of the Eggs Benedicts.

Service was more to be desired. Ordered a breakfast burrito and it was forgotten, better to keep a keen eye on your food.

There s usually a line. Check in and put your name on the list and they will text you when a table is ready.

Make sure you check in by the second text, otherwise you ll be booted off the list by the system and will need to add your name again.

Plenty of parking nearby.

You will be seated (outdoors) and scan a menu to check out what you want. You walk inside to order, get a number, and your food will be brought to you.

The Food:
I have been here twice so far and I have enjoyed both times.

Last visit, I ordered the french toast, the steak scramble and my boyfriend ordered the jackson with gluten free toast( the plate with avocado) it was some of the best gluten free bread we have ever tasted. they advised us that they buy it fresh from a bakery on fairfax and santa monica? i believe were the cross streets?
They were all great and the steak was very tender in my scramble which was unexpected since usually at other places it isn t.

I personally don t care for the mimosas and i can t tel if it s the fresh squeezed oj or the champagne quality but i do love the food.

Start by saying, "over rated". Not worth the long wait in line and tiny servings. They have the breakfast market cornered, big reason they are so busy because there are no other breakfast places in close proximity. Prices are on par with the area. Wouldn't waste 2.5 hours for again.

Can definitely get busy for brunch on weekends, but their brunch is the best! Reserve your table via Yelp before heading over.
Get the croissant French toast for sure!! Although their salads are also really good. The Bloody Mary is alright, and the mimosa is too. They have any kind of coffee/espresso you'd like.

Food is good the wait time can be long but you can check in thru Yelp, that will same you some time. Friendly staff , overall I reccomend it.

I can't remember what I ate but I remember it was good. My sister and I enjoyed it. I remember saying it was good.. I know its this place cause it was by a bead store she was dying to go to... The bead store was whack. This food was good. yeah that's it... Lololol

We ate here after reading several good reviews and a personal recommendation by our hotel front desk clerk. We were not disappointed...as a matter of fact, we returned every morning during our stay. It took a while before we placed our order, but once we did order, our food came out quickly. The california omelet and breakfast burrito were both exceptionally good, and the coffee full flavored.

Basic breakfast, nothing special. Waffles not spectacular, benedict good but bacon too crispy, breakfast tortillas not too much flavor. Coffee was mediocer as well. Better places around.
