This place was horrible the only good thing was the potatoes, the scrambled eggs were mush. My friend who got pancakes said they tasted like dog food and the French toast was just not right at all.. I took one bite and couldn t bare to eat it. We had to switch our food a couple times. The manager seemed understanding but didn t care to check if we liked our food etc.. They gave me burnt toast, the breakfast burrito was okay kinda soggy I didn t enjoy it at all. And we all got orange juice and they were all different one was way too watered down and one was straight pulp no juice.. it was ridiculous. Paid almost 50 dollars for food I didn t like whatsoever. And I know I m not just making it up cause the party I was with even agreed.

It is a very ordinary brunch house with no special taste or atmosphere, and it is a house that is not worth the time travelers. Even if you are a resident, if you want a peaceful brunch, I suggest you look elsewhere. Not worth waiting for 40 minutes after ordering. The food is mediocre. Nothing special. I saw one table was leaving after complaining for long waiting because the sever does not tell you how long it will take until the food is served.

Let me start off by saying I'm from Madera, CA and everytime I come to Hollywood I stop at Roscoe's Chicken N Waffles On Gower. Service Is Excellent, If you come around 2 there is no wait time and your food is ready within 10-15mins guaranteed. My Favorite Is Obama's Special.

I was visiting LA with my family and decided to have our last meal at Fratelli Cafe. One of the better food decisions we made all weekend! Everything we ordered was very tasty with good portions (I had the Steak Hash). There's a reason this place does well. We went on Sunday around 10:30am and stood in line for about 40 minutes. Just go earlier if you want to avoid the weekend brunch rush. I would be happy to come here again the next time I'm in town

Love it when I go to places that the staff is extremely friendly. They recommended one of the burritos and it was pretty good. I had the huevos rancheros and we also had a banana waffle. Place looked clean and the weather today was amazing so we sat outside. Definitely give it a full stars. Friendly staff, and great food equal five stars!

This place is delicious and their staff is lovely. A littlest expensive but that's what you get off of Melrose. Can't wait to make it back. Perfect vibe great place to work for a little while.

This is an eccletic place the food was awesome good portions, beautifully plated! It is animal friendly and kid friendly respectful friendly staff. I would recommend this place, it's also located in a vibrant place, lots of things to do after you're belly is happy! It has vegan and vegetarian option and I noticed some organic options too.

-Waited about an hour on the sidewalk for a seat to open up. Waiting customers were regularly told to stay on one side of the street. Heavy marijuana use nearby made the waiting experience very uncomfortable.
-Paper menus were provided (not COVID friendly).
-You have to order inside.
-We asked the hostess what she recommended (it was our first visit) and she said I have no idea.
-Steak hash looked small, but was actually very filling. Pretty tasty.
-Coffee was subpar and no refills.
-For two, we spent $50+ for coffees and meal.

Simply fantastic. Super friendly atmosphere and staff, fast service, awesome food. If I lived here, I would become a regular in an instant. Guys at the counter were nice and talkative, gave great recommendations and even recognized us from our last trip a few weeks ago. Will absolutely be coming back!

I love when the service is awesome and Fratelli Cafe made my high expectations.
After reading the menu I couldn t decide between Gone Bananas Waffles or Eggs Benedict.
The Bananas Waffles were a winner of the morning. It was appetizing.
Overall, the experience was fine and the food was good.

Wow. Such a great place, with a helpful and friendly staff. Amazing waffles and a big selection of food for breakfast, lunch, and in between. You can't go wrong by stopping here for food.

Definitely think orders could be done in a better way, but in not covid times, it probably works better. The bottle of mimosas was great, and honestly the whole reason for choosing this Fratelli. The breakfast potatoes taste like curly fries which was good. Overall it was good but not a new regular place.

The prices are pretty decent and the staff is extremely friendly. Street parking can be a bit tricky on the weekends, but seems open during the week for breakfast and lunch.

I've been here a few times and have tried the:

Shakshuka - I felt like this was missing a lot of spices and it doesn't come with slices of baguette. Better off ordering this somewhere more authentic.
Chicken & Waffles - it's good, not amazing and also not that filling so order some sides with it.
The BeeJees Breakfast & Green Eggs & Ben Eggs Benedict - both of these I actually liked and would order again. The side of breakfast potatoes are pretty taste and I like the addition of rosemary.

Nothing mind blowing, simple and tasty. They also have a cool rewards program that I signed up for so I'm sure I'll be back.

I stopped by here for coffee and there was a late 40 or 50 yrs old guy with black glasses and beard, talking very aggressive and rude. I never have been a cafe place where staff talks like that. I would suggest to avoid this place.

These guys are always awesome with their hospitality and prices for food. I heard recently that their windows were broken so if you are financially able to give them a little extra tip to help them out! They are amazing community builders and awesome staff.

One of my fav spots for delicious Brunch. Got there near five, it wasn't very busy. The staff was friendly and sociable. The place has a great feel to it. Food is like a restaurant in Louisville I loved.

The crowds don't lie. It's a good selection of delicious brunch and cafe items. Friendly and considerate staff who are following strict health and safety protocols for all patrons so cut them some slack and be sure to pay attention to what they are telling you.

Awesome food. We came around 9 on a Monday and had to wait in line for 15 minutes or so. Sat at the bar and watched the cooking going on. We ordered the lamb sausage omelett and the black bean cakes. Both were delicious. The best part was the jalapeno jelly and cornbread. I poured it all over my home fries, and would go back just for that. Great place.

Love this place. They have the absolute nicest staff and owner. And the food is amazing. Also a great location for brunch with casual but really nice indoor and outdoor seating. Dog friendly.

We had the "Open Sesame Bagel" and loved it!
The bagel was fresh, crispy on the outside with just the right amount of sesame and appropriately soft on the inside - exactly the way a premium bagel should taste and feel like. The bacon was to die for....it was so crispy and non-greasy that it complimented the rest of the ingredients just right. The avocado was perfectly ripe - not too hard and not too soft, and last but certainly not least was the sunny side up egg. Tasted organic and free range...just the way I like it.
The cup of fruit was fresh and plenty for a side.
If you like breakfast and bagels like I do.....you must try this item!
I also like the fact that they have an extensive menu. I like options. I tried their Eggs Benedict couple of weeks ago and also enjoyed it. You have a lot to choose from....I'll be back to try something new!
Well done!

My girlfriend took me to this place on Sunday and I m glad we arrived early, because the line is crazy, my only complain is that the food took too long, I order the Big Ben and it was quite testy but the sauce was not good, the hollandaise sauce was to plain it had no taste but my family like their foods so after it was all good!

Came here for breakfast and it was very good! I like how you order at the counter, pay and then sit down and wait for your food. No waiting for a waiter to take your order and bring the check. Quicker! I had the french toast, which was very tasty! Another person in my party had an omelette, which they also enjoyed. Staff was very friendly and kind. I definitely recommend this place great casual atmosphere!

Wait time was 20 min for a party of 2. You get seated and look at the menu, then get up to go to the cashier to place your order. Shared the biscuits & gravy, the F burger, the croissant French toast, & the chilaquiles. Unfortunately, the chilaquiles were soggy and pasty when served. The gravy was a flavorless goo; biscuits were good. Nothing special about the F burger, the only thing that I really enjoyed was the French toast. Paid roughly $75 for all that. Will probably not return.

Food: I ordered was their Bee Gees dish, I swapped feta for jack cheese and was set. I like my food spicy so threw on the hot sauce and black pepper. I did take a bite before hand to see how they make it, and it was well prepped. Yummy on food and it was filling! They aren't shy on their portions!

Service: seated right away, order was painless, dish came out quick and hot. All is good. Staff is friendly and welcoming. They crack jokes with you and make you feel at ease/home.

Ambiance: mad chill, I wasn't rushed, would recommend it for a leisurely brunch with friends or fam.

Only reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is because I had to walk myself up to the register to pay. Now I don't know if this is the norm but no one told me either. It didn't appear to be that type of spot but what do I know.

Next time I'll ask, because everything was good.

This was our first experience of LA. After arriving from Australia we were hungry and craving a healthy green juice and breakfast. This place did not disappoint at all. We were greeted by a friend face who was happy to go through the menu with us. The only problem we had was deciding what to have as it all looked great. We ate here 3 days in a row after making friends with the friendly owner Yaron. Why would we have eaten anywhere else. I wanted to try as much as i could on the menu! The fried potatoes were soooooo good! Will be sure to return to this place next time we are in LA!

Great spot for coffee and brunch. Friendly, attentive table service even though you order at the counter. We had the Chicken and waffle (I added my son s two over easy eggs he didn t want with his biscuits and gravy- yum), the Fratelli omelet - tasty with smoked salmon), the berry crep, and a Mexican dish with green salsa, eggs, tortilla chips that was delicious.

Been here a few times and it's always been a great experience. I have sat indoors and outdoors and I think I had the best service indoors this past Saturday but I didn't get my servers name.

The food is always great and they serve family style so you get these huge dishes of goodness! I can't wait to go back.

Al is amazing and very friendly. I went to this coffee shop this morning, and he was the one who made my coffee. This coffee shop has the best organic, high-quality teas and coffees that I have tasted. The place is as perfect as their coffee, very quaint and cozy. All coffee lovers must stop by this place! Don't miss to try their Cappuccino, guys!

The place is trendy and quirky with its decorating...love it! Bicycles on the walls, a candelabra made with coffee pots, open ceiling...casual. AC was a great change from the muggy weather.

The service was excellent! You do order at the cashier and they serve you...and they check on you! Sit yourself inside or on the patio.

I had a BLT salad and it was yummy with a good amount of smoked bacon in bite size pieces. The unsweetened peach tea hit the spot. I also treated myself to the Neapolitan Crepe...mmmmmmm!

I will definitely be returning to try other stuff on the menu and do recommend you paying them a visit.

Pretty great spot. Casual and yummy. The food was great, atmosphere was friendly and they had a resident dog who is the sweetest and belongs to one of the employees and kinda just wanders around doing her own thing.

I got the green eggs benny and it was sooo yummy. They were out of breakfast potatoes which were apparently a known thing there. Didn't get to try and brag about them on yelp for you all but the fries we got were good!

My friend got the Mediterranean omelette with sweet potato fries and it looked so yummy!

Op top of it all we shared a bottle of champagne for $20. It's their mimosa special and it was the perfect amount of food and alcohol. My total was under $35 just for my share.

Parking up and down the streets was constantly available as cars were rotating in and out of the area. Make sure if you park on the streets just to be aware of certain signs and restrictions. Enjoy !

This no frills cafe offers the most reasonably priced breakfast on Melrose. The egg orders comes with bagel and cottage cheese and they are large portions! I usually eat half of mine for breakfast and the other half for lunch. Most importantly, Fratelli knows how to make a cup of coffee! My go to order is the Fratelli scramble or the Crossandwich

Food s bad, everything else is good.

Response: I wasn t expecting it either, based on the 5 star reviews! Don t put iceberg lettuce on your tacos and add something to them with any sort of flavor (maybe make your own salsa or something). Find a recipe for the almond granola pancake batter that allows them to cook all the way through. The smoothies were pretty good. Service was great, and the outdoor seating is lovely!
