Cafe Brule Review

I've tried several menu items and everything is delicious.

Fast service, and really good food and beautiful inside

One of our go-to places when craving comfort foods and they never disappoint. This time I had the pot roast dip and it was fantastic and plentiful. I chose the fruit option over the included fries and even the portion was larger than expected and fresh. Quick service when considering the diverse menu. Place was packed and our wait time was under promised and over delivered. Friendly staff that are truly happy you are there. Recommend the desserts/pastries made on site. Cafe Brule' is perfect for small groups or a casual date night.

I don't know why I've waited this long to review Cafe Brule. They have a fantastic range of options and are very conscientious of dietary restrictions. The food has never once disappointed and the service is reliably good.

Brule is being very active in dealing with social distancing and mask guidelines.

Not only does Cafe Brule have the best food but their service is too notch! Always an enjoyable experience.

Great place to eat. Staff is very friendly and attentive. They have a big menu. Food is good. Bakery. Also large selection of lattes and hot drinks.

I was told amazing wondrous things about this gem. However I have to disagree. The baked item I had was stale and bland. The particular flavor was indicated to be a champagne filling with notes of fruit and a buttercream frosting. The cake foundation was dry and elusive in flavor and the BC could of been properly declared fondant with its lack luster and thick texture. Dry BC that cracked and crumbled. I could not subject myself to finishing. To the alcohol aspect of the dessert it felt saturated over done and off putting.I had planned on ordering more items and had told the server if the cupcake satisfied my interest id order items to go. It juat left with a bad taste in my mouth, to be washed by good ol HGrogg. This neg remark is ONLY on cupcake item ordered. The 3 staff members who greeted me were dears. The server who waited on me was patient and kind. I cannot stress this, she was tipped well and I thanked them all. I've had such culinary privileges; I might have weighed too much on the small college town bakery.

My daughter and I thought this looked like a cute place to grab a coffee and lunch after her college tour. This restaurant is decorated in cozy way and the bathroom was super cute. The service was good but the food was not. The only flavor that the chicken Alfredo had was pepper and it was as runny as soup. My ham and croissant sandwich was just that despite the fancy name. And the crem brule was chunky. Very disappointing.

Best place to grab some grub. Lots of memories in this restaurant. Breakfast, lunch or dinner; they never dissapoint

Very nice coffee cafe.
I have been here a couple of times, but each time it was memorable. The coffee it's very tasty and hot. The pastry was very delicious. It is definitely worth checking out.

I had a jalapeno popper burger and crab rangoon nachos. The nachos were great. The burger was good. The service was slow. Very slow. I wasn't there during the lunch rush, but it was still slow.

Great place, has options if you are looking for gluten free.

Best breakfast in town! Always helpful and friendly staff and very reasonable prices for top notch quality and service. Fed myself and both my parents brunch for about $30 bucks. Can't beat that!

Just a outstanding gem in Vermillion South Dakota a must go to a must eat at a must have a coffee at just a delightful delightful place to be at each and every day there is a beautiful selection of pastries cakes and pies I'm telling you if you don't make the effort to go hear you're missing out

Cafe Brule is fantastic. It offers great food, drinks and coffee. The wait staff are fantastic.

Husband loves the pork chop with apples and the loaded potato brule. I try something different every time. Always great and you never leave hungry. Don't forget to get a fabulous cupcake for dessert!

Seriously the best place to eat and hangout in a 100 mile radius. Can I just move here and save the hassle of driving? Coffee is amazing and the option to buy the beans and take it home is icing on the cake.

The best coffee shop in the Midwest! You will not be disappointed. Tons of great flavors with excellent service and outrageous desserts at very reasonable prices. Worth the trip from any where!

Staff is great and friendly. Have some of the best food in vermilion. The Creme Brule is a must try!

Filet Minon is out of this world! I wouldn't have picked this place as a steak place, but they cooked it to perfection (everytime I've eaten there) and use a reduced balsamic drizzle for some added flavor. A MUST TRY!

My dad literallly eats his breakfast here every morning...and i come from out of town to visit once a month and join him. There are many different selections with ranges from healthy and nutrious to a cupcake sugar Overload....and the pasteries and Muffins are the best you can find in tri state area. Even the day olds taste right out of the oven. The wait staff is always cheerfull and fun and i give it 5 stars. Only con would be they need to expand....some times very crowded and loud.

It was my regular spot when I was in college, their prices are fair and the food is great! Try a cake ball! They are cheap and a perfect way to finish a meal. I stop by any time I m in Verm

Absolutely love Cafe Brule. I went to undergrad at USD, but really experienced the beauty of Cafe Brule and their meals while working at the USD Law School. Great place for connecting briefly over breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Nice and cozy with great lighting. Small interior, but that makes it feel more like home.

Place is insane good...cheap prices and large portions....altime favorite...

This place is alright!! They have decent breakfast foods and good drinks.
It is, however, WAY TOO CROWDED to seat people during a pandemic. It s a maskless crowd in there on Sunday mornings. The last time I went, they put way too much cream on my waffle lol.

my family and i were extremely satisfied with the service, food, cleanliness, appearance of the staff and the facility. Not to mention the cost was very reasonable. Our waitress was extremely helpful in describing menu items and recommending items to our taste. Our family will b returning (preferably without our 5 children, atleast once so we can enjoy our selves). Even if we dont the staff was very courteous and helpful with the kids.

Server was good but my food was bad. Meatloaf was a meat patty over done covered with a sweet sauce and potatoes were cold. Never had such a bad meal there.
