Once again deliciously eaten. Always super cozy with Inge as hostess .. Peter is fantastic. What a super chef. Recommended for everyone.

Great, very cozy restaurant in the immediate vicinity of the Roer in a side street. The food is very good and there is a large selection of wine and various other drinks.

We had a 4 course dinner as a group of 16. The food was delicious, all plates went back empty. The food is not bad, but you also taste it sensation. TOP

Delicious eaten in this beautiful little authentic place! The owners are incredibly hospitable, such a personal experience has never been experienced! The service was fantastic, the ambience very welcoming and welcoming, and the food and presentation was of a high level chapeau !!

Good starter. Otherwise moderate. It took an outrageously long time to get something decent: 3 1/2 hours before the main course came. And poor service. And try to sell more booze. Never come back again!

We had a fantastic evening. The warm manner of Inge and Peter made you feel welcome. We spent five unforgettable hours in the restaurant. Slow food par excellence. A surprise menu is offered in the restaurant. You can choose between 3, 4 and 5 courses. The courses are served by Peter, the chef, who explains his creation in detail. We have seldom got such good, interesting and creative dishes - even in star restaurants - and at a very fair price. The restaurant is certainly not suitable for everyone, who is in a hurry and expects the courses every 10 minutes or expects Schitzel with fries is wrong here. For us it was definitely one of the best restaurants we have visited in recent years.

Everything took too long for me, 4 hours for 3 courses.

An uncomfortable little restaurant with great attention to detail. Menu was delicious and also here you have noticed that the chef / boss loves his job. We were so well consoled on our first visit without a reservation that we swore we would make a reservation on the next visit from Roermond. It was worth it. Thank you, we'll be back.

Very unprofessional hostess.

We wanted to have a bite to eat with a partnership here, heard many good stories about the food, so we spontaneously walked in to ask if there was still room for a small snack. We were practically laughed at. With a mocking tone (which not only struck me but also the other guests), this hostess said "Less than 3 courses, we really will not start at this time !!" Then we were even more cynically wished "good luck" when we said to look further.

I like to write good reviews because I know about hospitality and service. But what I tasted here tonight was mainly a hostess who had slept badly, appeared arrogant and from now on can really work on her intonation.

Everything is defended, but it is not up to you as a restaurant to determine what guests may or may not find unfriendly tone, that someone comes across as arrogant and unhelpful.

If I had been you I would have reacted from a completely different angle instead of attack and defense. Show understanding, make excuses, even if it doesn't feel right for you. That would have been hospitable. Put your ego aside, want to offer every guest a beautiful experience! Then we would have liked to come and eat with you again!

Negative feedback is also welcome. You can learn from that. That is, if you make that choice yourself to want to .....

Unfortunately, I will never taste the food with you.

18 years ago I happened upon the occasion with my parents. I was 5 years old at the time and our lovely hostess welcomed us, there was no menu for children. But for me an exception was made. We have been made welcome and have not left since. Tonight we celebrate my mother's birthday. Every time we are here it is a party again! For 18 years now, and I hope we can continue this tradition for a long time to come !!

We have eaten surprisingly well in this small charming restaurant. Delicious flavor combinations and hospitality makes it an absolute must.

We recommend. Here are the German-speaking owners a menu suggestion consisting of 3 or 4 courses. The only thing that can be chosen is optional vegetarian. One is still asked if allergies are present and then it starts with the greeting from the kitchen.

Wow. He was delicious. And so it goes on. One surprise after the other highly recommended. Prices are OK too.

On a Saturday the 3-course surprise menu chosen. With wine advice. The dishes taste great and look good. The explanation about the dishes is also nice and clear. Also the possibility to expand to 4 or 5 courses is good. You start with for between and main course and can later expand. The service is, despite being a very small restaurant, not attentive. Everything takes a long time and getting attention is often difficult. Certainly with a request for wine or water not good. This is also the reason why we decided to take coffee after the third course and not to go for a fourth and fifth course. With three courses we were busy from 18:30 to 23:00. Because of this, after all, just four stars, but here mainly because of the food.

We ended up here by accident. We reserved online and were immediately called back by Peter, the chef and owner. It was asked for things we did not eat or tolerate. Then you get in the restaurant a 3, 4 or 5 course surprise menu. Additionally, greetings from the kitchen. It tasted great! The service by Inge was unique! It felt like home. For the Netherlands a very good price-performance ratio.

Unfortunately I cannot post a comment so I will edit my original post. Unfortunately for you, I am not part of Mrs D's group, so a bit of a shame about the conclusion. My response is based entirely on my own experience with your restaurant.
Perhaps I should conclude that the owner is completely drunk every day because other catering establishments can behave during and especially after closing time.

On recommendation, we went to the restaurant and - despite a failed online reservation - luckily got a table for 4. Inge and Peter were very nice and warm hosts. We were surprised by the menu of the day, Peter is an excellent cook. Each course is explained in detail at the table. The ambience, Inge and Peter, the great food and great wine gave us a wonderful evening. We would love to come back.

Unfortunately we have not been able to eat, for this reason we cannot give a rating for the food. We wanted to dine for two. We saw 3 free tables and asked the waitress if there was anything available. This turned around and I was only assuming she would have to consider whether one of the tables behind her would be occupied. After about 40 seconds of embarrassing pause, she turned back to us and said: "Sorry I had to have a look what this dog is doing, because that is our terrace, it has to be clean."
At that moment I was already perplexed and just said "yes, of course, ok". Then she looked past us again, meanwhile all three occupied tables, of which four gentlemen at two tables had empty plates in front of them, really looked at us. And she said: "But we only have one surprise menu." She asked us, "or is there something you don't eat." I said, "chicken and pork." She said: "There is no such thing with us anyway" and I felt laughed at.
For me, chicken and pork can be found on some menus, even if I don't eat that. We were still standing!

Then she asked if we were or were sick! I said I assume we are not sick or were not! (I mean, who knows ??? We haven't been tested at least in the last 24 hours)
She said, "Do you believe that or do you know that? I have to ask, I am obliged to that" We are still standing, all the guests looked at us and listened to our really more than unpleasant back and forth. I said: "We never met felt sick and always wore a mask in DE. " You: "Yes masks have no meaning. You can still be sick". I just thought: My God, when will this questioning finally end !! Then she finally assigned us a table. I have to say I've never felt so uncomfortable. My companion noticed this and made a decision for us and said to the lady: "Sorry we changed our minds, we don't want to dine here." Then she said: "Yes, then not."

I don't know what was the main reason for treating us so pejoratively. Maybe we were dressed too sportily or the skin color of my companion was a problem for the waitress. I will not find out. At least we weren't welcome in this restaurant. A shame, because the Google reviews and the great pictures made us aware of the nice restaurant.

Food was special and artful but Ms was very unkind and incomprehensible when I wanted to checkout after 3 courses (as agreed) and 3.5 hours and didn't stay until midnight. Unfortunate aftertaste unfortunately.

Peter cooks a surprise menu at star level and Inge offers loving, individual service. We went there by chance and had a wonderful evening. You can tell that both of them do what they do with love. We would love to come back.

It is an exciting experience to go to a restaurant without a menu, which you should definitely get involved with. You will be rewarded with excellent food. Peter is a great creative cook and a very nice host and Inge a great host who lovingly takes care of her guests.

We would like to come again.
