The food was great but we had to wait a long time for it

went there for beer and tapas platter. had a good time in a chilled and cosy atmosphere around relaxed people. would go back anytime. staff was very kind!

The food was good and plenty. I enjoyed my beef stew and the other guests loved the asparagus.
The staff was nice, though I would have liked them to come by more often and ask to take my drink order.

There seems to be no changing table and no play corner. This isn't a restaurant to go with (small) children but a changing table would have been really handy at least.

Everyone enjoyed sitting on the terrace in the middle of the city without the bustle of the ever present bikes.

Wauw, so bad! I have ordered the frikandel and fries and it was like 10 peace s of fries and an actual frikandel (no Vlaamse curry worst) for 11 euro s. Soaking in saus.. absolutely gross.....

Nice spot in the middle of the Flemish district. Great food selection for local favourite dishes. We ate here twice. Service is rather slow and there is usually only 1 or 2 staff serving the entire place.

Cozy place, hidden in the center of Amsterdam. They have nice, yet not so big variety of Belgium beers. The food is ok, nothing special but nice for what it is. I usually have the burger and the Flemish fries with mayo there. They have nice terrace if it s good weather.
The place it s actually a cultural even space and you can find interesting exhibitions and performances over there.

Like the small square in front. Welcoming staff. Worth a visit. They should put some signs up at metro station Rokin. Just to make it easier to find when you get off the metro.

Great food on a quiet side street

Edit: after the rest of our time in Amsterdam and Paris, this was hands down our favorite meal. Was happy to see it was one of our cheapest as well!

At the end of November I visited this cozy restaurant in the heart of Amsterdam with my birthday daughter. A nice place in the busy center. A small menu but good coffee, toasts and sandwiches. Just like a year earlier, I ordered the salad with roasted vegetables. That became a huge disappointment. A plate of green lettuce with a few steamed vegetables. The bread was replaced by a small piece of bread. Sadness at its best. I expressed my displeasure at the service but she could not do anything with it. The price for this sadness was 11.50! The croquettes with bread and coffee were fine.

Great place serving Flemish styled dishes and beer in Amsterdam. Good food, pleasant service, I'd come again.

The desserts here are very delicious and classy, the options are limited and the cappuccino is kinda cold

A hidden gem! In the summer the terrace is lovely and in the winter you will feel safe and cozy here. I love coming here for a Duvel beer and vega snack. The operation is not always smooth and unfortunately the square is not as quiet as it once was, because Hudson's Bay has come to sit opposite. Still, it is a nice place for a nice drink after a day of shopping.

Food (lunch) is prepared a bit too simple. Price is fair. Nice service.

Friendly service, nice selection of decent Belgian beers. Didn't had a chance to try the food besides a quick grilled ham and cheese that was better than good!
Cozy interior and clean toilets are also a plus!

Super site a little hidden but it is worth finding. Super good food not very expensive compared to the rest of Amsterdam, frequented by the majority of Dutch and very little tourists. We have asked for almost everything and it was a success.

Good food, delicious in the sun. We were there when there was also a play (?) Which made it very busy. Because of this we had to wait a long time, but we didn't care. The staff are always very friendly.

An oasis for locals in the middle of a tourist area. Located on a beautiful courtyard a stone's throw from the dam and the ramparts, but hardly found by tourists.

Great lunch dish, eaten for a normal price. But the male wait staff who took the order was pretty grumpy.

My favorite hangout to ff the bustle of the city to escape and ff have a drink. Knis on a courtyard. No tourists happy yet !! COFFEE IS DELICIOUS HERE. Only unfortunately that the toilets are not child-friendly. Very handy for all cool moms

It looks like a josje. Hidden behind the Hudson Bay's. Nobody expects this. You can hang out here all afternoon. Calm and conviviality. Kind of backyard feeling.

The decor of this eatery is simple. The terrace is quite spacious and despite the proximity of the busy center it is nice and quiet to sit. Our cappuccino was not really a cappuccino but a glass of warm milk with a hint of coffee. The croquettes were at the price but otherwise okay. However, the bread there was quite dry in taste.
