Obviously a place to visit! A magical place where I spent all my childhood. Since the place has been well modernized and has been organized for visitors. A breathtaking view of everything Grenoble not to be missed!

One of the sites has even on Grenoble in family, sports, winter as summer. Former military fort 264 meters above the city of Grenoble. Built during the first part of the 19th century and culminating at an altitude of 476 meters. Several possibilities of access either by road "but avoided" because not great. The "paying" cable car, or the most common one, with a good starting point. Arriving at the top, we have a superb view of Grenoble and its surrounding mountains. Some activities are to be done up there, two restaurants, souvenir shop, public toilet, military museum "mountain troops".

A magnificent view of Grenoble, its surroundings and the mountain. If mounted on foot allow 40min. The best thing is to start the climb at the beginning of the evening, so that we arrive at the top with the sunset. The illuminated view of Grenoble at night is clearly worth a visit

You can visit by foot, by bicycle or by car. But I would like you to get on the Grenoble specialty teleferic. The round gondola, whose feet are transparent, has an indescribable pleasure. A superb view awaits at the top. Really Greboble is a nice city.

If playing sports while walking, why not go to the Bastille, it's not too tiring to eat and also friends is super nice, the view is beautiful and you recommend that you think to go down on foot too in a good, cheap day

We visited on a very hot day in August, we rode the cable car up and walked back down one of the many paths back to Grenoble. Views are amazing. Facilities are good, toilets, 2 restaurants and a snack bar. We ate lunch at the snack bar, which had a good selection at reasonable prices. There was also a high wire assault course (like Go Ape) and numerous walks from the top. Amazing views. Worth walking down as you discover more of the Bastille on the way.

Beautiful point of view on Grenoble and the surrounding mountains. My last visit was at night with overcast weather and a bitter wind but we can not remain indifferent to this grandiose landscape.

A must-see walk in Grenoble, the "climb" to the Bastille is peaceful, it's not a mountain, even if our Belgian friends must find this impressive, they come from the "flat country"! Arriving at the top you will find a magnificent panorama, a pretty grandiose view of Grenoble and the surrounding area, and you will be able to contemplate the incredible course of the liberation, the longest avenue of France, which has become and fortunately greener thanks in part to the tramway. Children from 6/7 years old can accompany their parents for this very invigorating climbing exercise! Be careful because, with a road on the other side, and the famous "eggs" of the cable car, there are sometimes a lot of people at the top! And in the trails too!

Admirable viewpoint over the city, accessible on foot by footpaths or by cable car from the quays. The mountains as a backdrop make the Panorama grand. Belledonne Chargeuse and Vercors are the three massifs that surround us.

The view of the city is breathtaking. It puts Grenoble in perspective and is a good opportunity to get to know the city from afar before exploring it.
I'd recommend going up with the telepheric and going down on foot, because there are many other highlights down the road.

Must visit before you leave grenoble. Excellent view of the city and the valley. Excellent walk from the city until the bastille. Prefer to climb instead of taking the teleferic. There are two routes. The stairs and a easy path. I prefer the stairs because it is quicker.
