Superb place that I frequent with family since my childhood. Today is with my children.

A fascinating place both for the history that it brings with it and for the splendid panorama it offers. The climb path is also very beautiful

Beautiful place and must see if you are in the neighborhood, both for kids and adults.

We chose to go up by the bubbles and we did not regret it so much the climb is impressive. Operators also welcoming. The access on foot seemed just as nice. Above, perhaps a little disappointed by the lack of signage for a real journey (no luck for us, the contemporary art exhibition was closed that day). We roam here and there. However the terrace offers a magnificent view of Grenoble.

A place cut the breath overlooking Grenoble. You can see the whole mountain range of Belledonne. This landscape is really beautiful! Time stops when one is up. See the whole city of Grenoble is pretty impressive. It is at this moment that one realizes that it is a huge and magnificent city!

Spectacular view over the whole city and a beautiful adventure park with very long pulley routes

The climb is nice and the view spectacular. I loved this visit and the only reason that drives me to not give a perfect score is the lack of maintenance of the stairs. The majority of the marches are broken and it is sometimes dangerous to venture there too quickly (while many make sport training courses there). I advise everyone to walk instead of bubbles, to enjoy the many spaces where the view is breathtaking.

Great views, somewhat expensive the climb by cable car ( 8) but includes round trip. There is a walk through some tunnels that you can enjoy the landscape and be cool.

There is a very nice cable car that we have climbed up to the Bastille. The return we did on foot with children and is about 45 minutes. The view and the excursion are very beautiful.

it is always good to practice sports, jog, exercise, take the air and watch the city of Grenoble from the top of the Bastille

If you then come with high expectations, it is a bit disappointing. The gondolas work according to an excellent system and quite efficiently. Especially the first 100 meters are fun: over the water and over the houses. The view of the bastille is not so much dominated by the bastille itself but rather by the tattered building full of graffiti that marred the hill like a sore pimple right in your face. The bastille itself was also badly maintained. Nice view of the city. But maybe because you don't see the bastille itself ...

There is a very interesting museum there, and the silhouette that opens from above - just amazing! I recommend to visit !!!!

For a walk with family, friend or sport training I recommend

Unobstructed view of Grenoble (finally when the sky is clear) and surrounding mountains.
The climb can be done on foot for the bravest (especially from the gate of France) and more pleasantly with the bubbles.
Allow half a day to visit the whole.

A must visit if you go to Grenoble.
For lazy people like us the cable car commonly called "eggs" (one of the oldest urban cable car in the world) transports you up there in 7 mins for 5.80 / person, the Fort and huge lots of nooks and crannies to visit.
Up there you can visit the museum of mountain troops for a few euros, a tree climbing course and also possible at certain times, you will have something to drink and eat. Sanitary facilities are also available, the visit to the fort is free .

Do not miss the visit to the cave called Mandrin which is located above the fort.
for the descent do not take the eggs, but go down by the path.
From the geologists' terrace, a fairly sporty path (bring good walking shoes) descends to Grenoble via the dolphin garden, en route to many corners of the fort to visit.
At the departure of the cable car with your ticket we offer you a map where the various descents are detailed.

I didn't have a lot of time to visit but it was well done and a pleasant place.

The Bastille is the most interesting point of view and top of Grenoble to my knowledge, very pleasant evening in the summer to cool off, and many activities including a restaurant, an adventure park and possibility of mounted gondola

To go up to Fort de la Bastille either with the cable car or by car. Once arrived we have a beautiful panorama.

It gives the overview of Grenoble city with good view. It has all the gym equipments you need for your fitness along the way up the hill. The good background for snapping pictures. The best environment to hangout with your love ones. Thanks to the founders of La Bastille.
