C&S Wholesale Grocers, Inc Review

I really hated this place, rude and disrespectful people, more than 8 hours waiting for them, and finally they returned the half of the cargo

Sat for 11 hours to del 6 pallets charged
$300.00 for breakdown

VERY RUDE PEOPLE AND LUMPERS.... C&S has allowed their size to disrespect truck drivers for years. The C&S in Chester needs to be closed. They are the biggest scum bags around.

I have been going to most of the C&S wholesale Grocers in New England and the one in Hatfield, MA is the worst one yet the rudeness and snubbed attitudes been here 4 hours and still have a full trailer! !!

Typical distribution center. The staff was a little rude, but most places we unload at are sick of dealing with us drivers. On the plus side, they have over night parking

After delivering they want to make sure you dont stole trailers so they wasting your time

Checked in @ 1am for a delivery @ 3 am ( appt.) kept me there for 6 hours then told me they will take me at 8pm,
VERY RUDE, No people skills at all, Talked to you like your are an animal

They have a yard that you can park overnight that s the only stars they can get check in 5:30am for 6am appointment they called me 10:02 for the lumber fee of $300 have some times to spare if you coming here

This place needs to do a hole new rehire for lumber and pick up in that office. I stood at the window for 10 minutes listening to these two fat women talking about sex and toys as if I was not there to pay my lumber fee or other business smdh. Scrums of the earth. So disrespectful. Bad business with people like this. It DON'T deserve a star. I gave it one to say my peace of mind. This is a place for the show undercover bosses. Someone will get fired. Ijs.....

Great place to sit and wait and wait some more,all for cheap freight.

My appt was 8am, got here 12am and parked "overnight"ordered dominos and slept. Drove to guard shack 7:55, i went in to the left and parked. At 8:00 they go on break until 8:20, inconvenient but fair. Ok, went back and checked in with "noelli ", she was nice and very cute, her voice eased my nerves and door 12 was ready for me. I backed in ,only 1 pull up had enough space, they ask you to drop and pull forward here so that was done and by 10am was empty. They were not busy today, and i enjoyed my experience here.

Truckers, think twice before accepting a load here. Outrageous lumper fees, loooooonnnnng waits even though you have an appointment, extremely rude staff AND they have a propensity for rejecting product. Another version of HELL!

Oh, and they don't accept cash for the lumper fees so bring a t-check!

Checked in at 11pm and they called us with the dock number at 10 am. 3hrs unloading and still waiting....... hope there almost done!!!!

hi I wanted to know if working hours Monday through Friday or Saturday and Sunday is also to start working on these days, but I spend hours preg ?????

All C&S are horrible ,but this one beats everyone ...Horrible receiving been here since 7 am ,right now is 4 pm ,and haven't even started unloading me ,telling me that night shift will be unloading me now...Horribile facility

Ya they take really long to unload even if its just half trailer. Guys that work inside warehouse don t care about how long you been in the dock . There is a parking lot right before the company.

worst possible place to work wastes everything papertowels included.....truly hated america afterwards

Check in at 6:15 AM for a 6AM appointment, I was assigned to a door right away and get out by 7:30AM

They're scumbags always have been, hurry up and wait deal... But like another poster said, C&S in Chester, NY should be all fired, rudest people I have encountered in decades of trucking.

Had an appt for 8am, checked in at 740am, guard shack lady extremely nice. Docked at 750 , disconnected at 820am, empty by 9am. I had 43 pallets of Rubbermaid plastics. EITHER this was a MIRACLE or Covid19 stirred something's up.

Also overnight parking available right when you come in. Lumper was prepaid , paperwork dropped in the back of the trailer.

Wish they would only keep up with this kind of driver treatment.

7 am appointment ,got paperwork at 2:30 pm ,80% companies refuse loads to C & S . Be one of them also ,they can't handle the work load . By the way to c&s ,if you don't like negative reviews ,do a better job .

While I can relate to the comments about wait times. That does not hold for the overnight shift. Rae does a great job getting me into a door promptly. As a local driver time is of the essence when it takes 5 hours drive time each way. She always greets me with a smile and very professionally. She is an asset to the company. Her demeanor and work ethic makes the bad comments look not so true. My only wish would be that she is there when I deliver at other times of the day. I must say that I do unload my own truck as opposed to most likely the majority of the other drivers. But that is all the more reason why drivers like myself should have no problem getting in to a door to unload.
