Classy! Nice ambiance. Attentive staff and great live music
Went on a Sunday night and waited at the door for five minutes. Place was empty except for a couple of people at the bar. Left after no hostess showed up and the bartender refused to make eye contact.
Nice atmosphere but small and crowded. Drinks overpriced.
Ordered a margarita, had to be the smallest serving of one i ever had, tasted terrible and way overpriced. My girfriend ordered a Tito and tonic and very unhappy with it.If you want overpriced drinks that taste bad this is the place for you!And by the way bartenders have no personality either.
We rang in 2019 at C Grace and had a wonderful time. The cocktails were creative, atmosphere was great and the service was on point. Love the jazz venues and the speakeasy . decor.
Mellow underground bar. It has the speak easy feel and hand crafted cocktails.
This is my favorite bar in Raleigh.
Regular musical performances give this bar a hip feel that you can't find anywhere else on Glenwood.
This is where the grown-ups drink.
The drinks are great, live music, seatings a little tight, but they do have 3 bars on the other hand.
This place is super cool. You won't find anywhere like it in Raleigh. When you think 'swanky jazz club', this is basically it. Great craft cocktails, music and atmosphere. They like to keep it so it's not crowded inside, so as long as you get there early enough, you should be in good shape. Great place for a date.
Wonderful staff and near perfect coctail. Very relaxed lounge atmosphere. Live music. It's an oasis amidst downtown.
Best place in raleigh for live music, amazing cocktails and that speakeasy atmosphere.
First time being here tonight. The bartender is damn near magical. The atmosphere is really relaxing and pleasent just like the live music!
Great ambiance, drinks, music and bartenders. Definitely going back when I am in Raleigh again.
This little gem is worth visiting at least once. My friends and I got pretty tipsy on the drinks (beautifully crafted). However, there is very limited seating. I won't wear my heels here again.
If you have ANY class and you appreciate a great cocktail, please please please do yourself a favor and check out this spot! It's hidden, down some stairs, and kind of hard to find if you're not looking for it, but it's such a great laid-back, dark, and beautiful spot that you MUST check this place out!! It takes to you a time back in history where cocktails were held to a higher standard, and the dark, sultry lighting encourages you to become in touch with your sexy side. Take a date here, someone you really want to impress. It's a nice spot to chat over a truly artistic cocktail, guaranteed to be made the RIGHT way! If you're lucky, maybe you'll be there when they have someone singing some sultry jazz tunes. Definitely a must if you're in Raleigh on Glenwood Avenue, maybe for an after-dinner drink!
This place reminds me of being in New Orleans. With its old school festive feel. It's very quiet and sexy. They serve drinks only. And they have a live band that plays at a certain time of night. There is low lighting, (candles lit on the tables), a private area in the back for larger, yet still intimate groups. I would visit C. GRACE every weekend if I could. For sure.
Had a fabulous time there and the bartenders are amazing!
Cozy lounge with some of the best and most consistent jazz on the city, and fantastic cocktails
Excellent prohibition style bar with a great jazzy ambience. Come dressed fairly nice to fit in! Their drinks list is interesting and tasty, albeit a bit expensive.
Such an awesome place. Love Jazz, amazing drinks and plenty of them. And a great dimly lit rooms with tables, bars and couches. $5 cover is well worth it.
This is my favorite spot to go to in downtown Raleigh. The servers are sweet and helpful. The atmosphere gives me a prohibition vibe. I feel sophisticated and classy from the very first moment I step foot in the place. The music is always wonderful. I enjoy listening to the local artists, it makes me feel proud to have been born and raised here.
Good for couples, drinks are good not that much expensive.
$5 entrance fee
Awesome place to get a cocktail. The atmosphere and music are fantastic!
Great cocktails. Knowledgeable bartenders. Warm ambiance, especially when they have live jazz. Great place on a Saturday night.
Great service, nice ambiance, and entertainment. Drinks may have an acquired taste
Great jazz, but very crowded..better get there early or plan on standing in a awkward place
Amazing cocktails! Great atmosphere. Kinda reminds me of the movie Swingers. Go.
Definitely a germ in Releigh. For those who love jazz and live performance this is definitely a must go. 10/10 would recommend and pretty sure this is an ideal place for dating.
Beautifully decorated, relaxed environment, & best darn mixed drinks
I love this place. The live jazz is always awesome and the drinks are great. I visited here on a Saturday night period of which I had to pay a $5 cover. The fact that there were no seats available for us because the place was so packed irritates me because I paid a cover. If I pay a cover, I should have a seat in the building. I Would recommend trying to get there a little early as to avoid the seating crisis.
C.Grace was incredible for their live music and great tasting cocktails. A wonderful place for settling down to chill for a few hours. Not too busy, not too loud, and comfortable seating. Never change!
Very relaxed, very chill spot! Went with some acquaintances on a Saturday night and we enjoyed the music and atmosphere. They have some unique drinks on the menu. It is a $5 cover to get in, but worth it.
Best live jazz joint in Raleigh. Seriously good cocktails.
Great place! Drinks are good, music is fun, no cover Tuesday - Thursday.
Gorgeous vibe and very attentive service. Yummy drinks.
Easily my favorite bar in Raleigh. Great drinks and very knowledgeable bartenders
This is my absolute favorite place to go for live jazz. I recommend this place to everyone I know for live jazz. And sometimes you can luck up on some legends there. Like Winton Marsalis brother was there playing one night I went and this wasn't even publicized. It's free during the week and $5 on the weekends.
The drinks are amazing, the bands are phenominal and the place is chill. Very difficult to find a place to sit on weekends though.
Great atmosphere harkening back to the Roaring Twenties. Bartenders are friendly and the live music was great.
From out of town. Was looking for a chill, classy place with some great cocktails. This place def fit the bill amongst all the frat parties and clubs surrounding it.
If you love jazz and/or fancy cocktails and you've not been here yet, you definitely need to check it out!
Dark and cozy atmosphere kinda takes you out of time for a bit.
Try the Odd Perfection.
You can almost hear Coltrane and miles when the music stops playing
This is the kind of bar you can bring a book to and spend hours chatting with the bartender. The atmosphere is so calming and the drinks are amazing! I definitely recommend a visit.
Great drinks, great music. We sat at the bar and our bartender Matthew was quick while still being a perfectionist. We watched him send out picture perfect drinks all night. We had a great evening at C. Grace!
Always a cool atmosphere. My favorite musician was playing, which was a pleasant surprise since I didn't look up the entertainment before going. The other patrons were very friendly and accommodating as well considering it's a small venue.
Pros:Nice ambiance ....great artist......Cons:ONLY 1 server who is over worked and rude.....the sound system for the band and vocalist was awful, sounded like I was at a elememtelary school gymnasium.
Live jazz, extremely cozy atmosphere and expertly crafted cocktails, staff at this place really knows what they are doing. Every time we go out downtown Raleigh we end up there at the end of the night
I love this place. Incredible live jazz venue. Small and inherently intimate. They have friendly staff and an the general vibe is pleasantly nostalgic. Some of the best cocktails in the Triangle thanks to the skilled knowledgeable bar-tending.
One of the coolest, hipest places I have been. The music is great. Atmosphere is just the coolest! The open Tuesday jazz jams are great. You never know who is gonna show up.
C. Grace is a wonderful gem in downtown Raleigh. Amazing live music, beautiful decor, and delicious drinks. Will be back here every weekend!!!!!!!!
Fantastic music and bartenders. Ask Matt anything about the history of spirits and you'll get a great little lesson.
Good music, great cocktails, and a courteous staff.
Great drinks and atmosphere. I will definitely be returning sometime.
The absolute best bar experience I've had by a long shot. Get one with egg yolk for a truly unique experience and come early. The place really gets hopping after the love jazz cranks up around 9
Love the atmosphere; it has that classic speak-easy club feel about it. Service is great. #DabidKlingnan was off the charts awesome.
It feels like the bartenders really put their heart and soul into making your drinks, lol. The live music is wonderful too. Just wish the space was a little bigger! It can get very crammed very fast
Great artisanal cocktails in a dark, cozy couch- filled venue on Glenwood South. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly and will happily share their knowledge about drinks. It's also one of the few venues for live jazz in Raleigh. It's members-only, $1, and some nights there's a modest cover.
If you love live Jazz and and upscale bar then this place is for you. Always has different artist performing and the owner is there most of the times. Very friendly lady. Love this place
I just loved it, since that night it has become my corner of the weekends, live music, the exquisite jazz in the dim light and those wines because all this is mixed and they make C Grace.
Love this place! Good atmosphere! I wish they have more tables to sit! Also, they will need to adjust the volume so we can hear! Speaker system they use bose powered speaker but I barely hear when someone started talking through the mic. Also, piano volume is so low....
Drinks and entertainment are great! No cover charge so be sure to tip and be respectful of the entertainment. There are not many venues like this around any more!
The venue has 2 bars and the service is pretty quick. They do not serve any form of food, but the drink prices are very reasonable. We went when there was a jazz act and they were very cool and mellow. This is a good place to hang out, drink with friends, chill out to dope music and enjoy yourself.
Superb. Great cocktails love the music and staff are brilliant.
The bartenders are well trained, the atmosphere is chill, and there's usually live jazz music to complete the experience.
The bartenders here know what they are doing; you can give them a flavor you want and they come back with a great cocktail. Music wasn't so loud that you couldn't talk.
Some of the best crafted drinks in Raleigh - also jazz almost every night.
This is a great concept and it s well executed! Service at the tables is lacking.
Can t wait for this place to reopen! Great cocktails and the best jazz in the triangle.
Bring a place like this to Myrtle Beach,! I have always been a massive fan of speakeasies and have done some traveling to jazz bars as far away as Chicago, and this place is amazing! The crowd in the back could be a bit more respectful of the musicians (they re quite loud when the lead is speaking to the crowd) but the musicians play their hearts out and the service is great! Three cheers
Very relaxed nice place with very custom old fashioned cocktails typically adults 30 and up with jazz on weekends
Always crowded. Get there as early as possible. Other than that, it's a nice jazz lounge/bar.
Very cool spot, much more conducive to conversation than most bars! Good for small groups.
