Almost always has jazz on a speak easy like setting. You are transported to an older time with skillfully crafted cocktails. Quiet, comfortable lounge in the back, little intimate round tables in front.

We were recommended this bar for a great cocktail! We walked in to two people sitting at the bar and about 10 people at tables. The bartender handed us menus without speaking and then proceeded to help two other people that walked into the bar 5 and 10 minutes after us without ever acknowledging us. We all four got up and walked out without him even acknowledging us and had a great drink just a few doors down since we Ubered to C Grace which was a complete waste of time!!!!! I would have given them zero stars if it was an option!! Very disappointed

I totally dug the ambience of this establishment. There was no cover charge after midnight so I found that to be awesome. The drink options were both original and delicious. The musicians were so talented that their performances gave me goosebumps and made me have a further appreciation for jazz instrumentation. I look forward to revisiting this experience.

Comfortable couches and solid drink menu. As a new Raleigh resident, one thing i've been craving is a cocktail bar with reliably great drink menu. Most places gave a good drink very seldomly. This place hasn't missed the mark yet! Prices are justified

Upscale speakeasy style place for good cocktails and live music. One thing that sets them apart is their drink menu. It lists a variety of different cocktails, some classic and some house specialties, along with a short description. As someone that likes to try new things but doesn't know the name of a lot of drinks it makes things way easier.

I would give this place a 5-star review if it weren't for that dammed red-headed bald bartender. He clearly hates his life and he wants you to hate yours too. He was kind of rude and standoffish toward me and I also saw him kind of get into it with a few other customers.

Otherwise, the older crowd is great to be around (mid 30s to 50s). There was a jazz band on Friday night. I really enjoyed the atmosphere.

C. Grace feels like an underground 1920's bar that serves fancy cocktails. The place is extensively decorated to give it that jazz club, prohibition-era feel. On certain nights, go for the live bands and listen to them play with a small table pulled up near the stage with dim candlelights.

I absolutely love live music and jazz. This place has both. The staff was extremely friendly, and despite some comments I've seen regarding a cover charge, I did not see anyone collecting a cover, however I went on a Tuesday after 9pm. To top it off, the bartender knew how to make an Old Fashioned, which is my personal cocktail of choice. Worth the visit, or in my case, worth the Uber ride over.

I wish there were more hang out spots like this in the Triangle. Very cool, intimate bar and lounge, where I have been lucky enough to hit a 3 piece Jazz Trio, two times in a row. It's been very busy the few times I've been but in spite of its small(ish) size, doesn't feel overly cramped and the staff (bar service only on the nights I was there) handled it well. It's on my list of places downtown Raleigh to stop by when friends are in town. I've never heard a negative word about it. Well done guys.

The bald bartender w/beard is crass and curt in demeanor, not friendly at all! Outside of him, as an out-of-Towner, my visit to C. Grace was great, the ambiance was quaint, comfortable and enjoyable! That bartender needs a day off!

I visited C Grace while in town visiting a friend. We wanted a place to chill and have a drink before going to bust a move somewhere else. This place sure gets crowded or at least it was on the Saturday night I went. So apparently there is a $1 cover/membership as they say. The "membership" did cover all 3 of us to get in. Upon entering we went towards the back and hung out off to the side. There is a back bar with limited drink offerings but the wait is a lot less. The lady at the back bar was very nice and patient. We asked questions and wanted her suggestion based on our tastes. I ended up ordering what was called The Godmother which is similar to The Godfather that is on the menu. It was very boozy and not sweet like I had wanted and stated I liked. It made me feel like a real adult because it was a drink meant for sipping. I definitely could not finish it.
The ambiance at C Grace is really nice and makes for great conversation. We were able to chat with a group near to us which is always nice. Everyone in Raleigh seems so friendly.
I'm pleased with my first visit to C Grace and hopefully if I am back in town I will go back.

Fantastic atmosphere. They lean hard enough into the speakeasy vibe -- and the live music is good enough -- that it comes off earnest, not pandering. Drink prices are surprisingly reasonable (still not cheap, and the beer selection is limited), and seating is ample enough that it's not impossible to get a good seat on a busy night.

We arrived 10 minutes before the live music started on Saturday night. We were able to find a good table and order our drinks before it got super crowded. The music was good and lively. Around 9:45 the place got slammed with some rowdy people. It was extremely loud but the servers kept coming around and refilling our waters and taking our drink orders. The drinks were strong and delicious. Soon the rowdy crowd left and it continued being a pleasant evening. The ambiance is so neat. Low lighting and vintage feeling. I honestly hate how there were some people dressed in t shirts and baseball hats. The place calls for nicer clothing. We had fun and plan on visiting again.

Best cocktails in the Triangle. Experienced, personable bartenders who know their trade and take their time, never rushing preparation. Every drink is a work of art in a glass. Not to mention the live jazz most nights. For those who need an escape from the loud music, there's a cozy room in the back that's perfect for conversation. An oasis in the middle of Glenwood South.

C. Grace,

C. Grace,

Live jazz 5 nights a week. The cocktails are classic. The bartenders are sharp. I may be a bit biased. But it's solid place to hang, no matter how you cut it.

Cheers!

Nice classy spot. Went on a Friday night and the $5 cover charge was well worth it for the live music and quality of service provided. Drinks are made with attention to detail but reasonably priced. I also liked all the seating options. You can sit rght by the bar and music or findnice cozy spot in the back. Will definitely be back.

The atmosphere is great. Easy jazz and elegant setting. Dont forget to have cash for the cover. The place gets easily crowded with wait line outside to enter so the earliest the better. At the end of the day it s worth it and the place is nice for either a time with your couple or some friends to chat with quiet music as background

My first time here. The drinks were made with skill and the maker tailored the drinks to my liking. I was overwhelmed with the choices and left my fate to the hands of my skilled bar keep.
I was more than impressed.
With the surge of bars that tailor drinks in the area, I was extremely pleased finding this raleigh jewel.
Others in the area boast, c grace provides beyond others.

If you like jazz, speak easy atmosphere, and expertly crafted drinks........
Stop in here and give it a try!

Great drinks, great bartenders, great music. A little more expensive than I personally look for, but it's not unreasonable. The live music is always nice to have so it's the price is worth it for an experience every so often.

Took my girlfriend here for here birthday on Jan 14th, and the band that played that night was great. Been telling my friends about it. Drinks are a little above average in price, but good. Lots of old fashioned drinks on the menu that are very good. It's a small speakeasy prohibition style place that provides a nice experience down to the period style outfits for staff. I'll definitely go again.
