I'm not sure whether it is just that the kids are getting older, or that I have been many times, however it does feel that Butlins as an experience is moving backwards. I have to point out that ALL staff that we encountered were cheery and helpful. This latest visit will more than likely be our last. I just feel we do not get true value for money anymore. There seems to be less included in the price shows and activities on. There are plenty of additional activities however these are at an extra cost. The bar is pricey, the amusements expensive, the funfair had only half the rides. My apartment on arrival had an odd pong to it. My wife's apartment had missing items. (there was 7 of us so had to split girls and boys) Despite booking gold, we still had to get the hiking boots on to reach the pavilion. (Gold used to get you a closer apartment) The food selection in the deck was good, a real highlight of the holiday.

First time to Butlins. Stayed in the Fairground apartment's. Quite nice and dainty but some of the cleaners need to be a bit more thorough and clean fridge etc. Plenty to do ..will defo return.

Been fine, Shower head slightly small. Beds are very sqeeky, every time I turn everyone wakes up. Staff are very helpful, very nice. Shops slightly expensive. Hate the idea that the people with more money, have access to all the shows 15 mins before the rest of us, I had to queue for an hours an half to be behind all the people that pay to go in early. Butlins is about all inclusive, now it's more about who has the biggest wallets. Squeezing every penny from us.

Went for Alternative Music Weekend. Main attraction for me was The Exploited don t know what happened to them but they didn t play, surprise surprise nor Bad Manners ! Also there were so many people couldn t get anywhere near seeing The Stranglers or The Undertones However Blue Carpet Band , Neck ANL , The Adicts & Midlife were absolutely amazing. The atmosphere over the weekend was great, lots of happy people, eating, drinking & enjoying themselves.

Great place, flat and easily accessable with lovely sports team (many of which we see each year) cleaning not quite 100% this year but quickly sorted out. Fabulous entertainment. The only thing I would say is having gone for 4 years on the trot that the entertainment can get a bit repetitive with the same acts- Diversity, Steven Mulhern, etc. Red coat shows were TOP CLASS and Red coats were very nice and funny and interacted well with children. Ones that stuck out were Danny and a couple of spots coaches one of which has been there 4 years I think he said. Well done Red Coat Team. P.S. really appreciated the signs and info saying about respectfulness/quietness in late hours although this was no issue at all it's nice to know if there was an issue it would be dealt with descreetly and swiftly. Well done!

For the price you pay to get into the park - I have to say I was disappointed. Went swimming in the morning which was nice but beyond heaving and had parts closed off. Considering the amount of attendants you had standing all over, the state of the toilets was exceptionally poor. To a point even our kids complained. Most of the stuff was shut - unless you had to pay for it. Which considering the price of entry I thought it was a joke so ended up spending more money just to make day worthwhile. And due to only having a few free bits open, the ques for them where also lengthy and time consuming. The staff we did meet I have to say where pleasant, even in the food court. Which is the only reason you have two stars otherwise it would of been one. A long time ago we classed this as a good worth while day out, but it just continues to go downhill- to a point I dont think we will be wasting our money again..

We went to Butlins during term time so it wasn't at all busy. I don't recall a time where we had to wait for anything, which was perfect. There are so many activities to do that we couldn't do them all and we were absolutely non stop all day. The public facilities were all very clean and well presented and every single member of staff we encountered was present and helpful. The food choices each day were very good and the food itself was delicious. There were free juice and coffee machines available as well. I couldn't recommend this resort more. The only (tiny) issue we had was the room we stayed in. The walls were so thin that we could even hear the neighbors eating crisps, and there was only one plug socket in our room. Technically these were small and inconsequential issues as we spent no time in our room aside from sleeping (on the account our days were so packed) and you could easily bring your own plug adapter (which we will do next time). They do offer a rental adapter, but only for medical reasons. All in all, a tremendously fun holiday that we will definitely visit again. 10/10

Butlins used to be the original all inclusive holiday. Now there is less and less included in the price and the 'extras' cost a fortune. You are constantly badgered to show your wristband by security staff. I walked into the skyline and had to show my band to security and then walked 10 yards to centre stage and had to show it again. There are jails with less security!

Staying in one of rooms near the entrance, a little loud and run down, but can't complain for the price. My only issue is the lack of food options if you haven't prebooked all your meals.

Booked family members in for a stay here by calling Butlins, arrived to be told it wasn't with Butlins but a private caravan owner, despite specifically asking that during the call, and therefore we weren't entitled to a a raft of usual perks. More generally surrounded by appalling customer service on all sides, the company plainly has nothing but contempt for its guests. Horrible place and I wouldn't do it again if they paid me double the exorbitant price we did pay.

It's really not changed over the last 30 years apart from the swming complex. We had a day pass for after summer holidays. The rides not changed. The kids play area was OK. Be a nightmare in peak times. . The kids didn't want to leave the pool area. The changing facilities again would be a nightmare in the summer

Entertainment is great, lots to do on the resort, it's right next to the beach, the beds aren't the best but they're not terrible, the rooms are really nice and the staff are helpful and nice as well.

Great entertainment, great food, great atmosphere and great accommodation. We can't find fault with anything from the cleanliness to the staff. I would highly recommend this place for a family holiday.

It was amazing!! With whirlpools, massive swimming pool, and 3 waterslides, even one goes outside so you are swimming outside with the flow of water pushing you while you enjoy the nice watery breeze (I don't know how to explain it). There is a fun fair near the big tent which are a lot of fun. The big tent has an arcade, candy place (literally), little restaurants, places to buy slushies and other nice things. There is a place where you can go, and your children can play outside in the park next to it while you can sit inside and have something to eat and drink. There is an amusement park nearby called Fantasy Island, which is nice to go to and it is nearby. There is also places you can go to at night, which have people on stage singing and children can come to the front and dance on the dancefloor to the music. If you ever need any help around Butlins, you can always look for people who work there, they are there is help you. They would be wearing a red blazer with their name on a nametag pinned on. And they are always happy to help you, you can also talk to them. They are a lot of fun talking to. What I am trying to say it that I 100% recommend coming to Butlins, you have a nice flat which have a living room, kitchen, normally 3 bedrooms which one has a double bed, and the other 2 have single beds. Anyway, if you do take my recommendation. You have fun there, honestly I have been there many times for years and never gotten bored of it. I learnt my way around. I wish you a lot of luck that I won't rain and a lot of fun.

Butlins Skegness has all the facilities as the other Butlins but unfortunately it is in need of a spruce up. It looks run down in areas and some areas are dirty e.g. the toilets smell disgusting and some of the doors won't lock on the cubicles! The red coats and skyline gang are nice as usual but the restaurant and pub staff proved to have a language barrier although friendly and helpful. I will stick with the Minehead or Bognor Regis resorts in future even though that is quite a journey for me and my family!
