Butlins Review

Love it. The Christmas decorations are awesome and the atmosphere amazing. The young Children excited to visit Father Christmas, the older ones to see a show with Father Christmas and his helpers. Can truly say Butlins Christmas experience is well worth doing xxx

I was only there to collect a friend from the resort but from what I've been told and have seen I am impressed with the amenities

Best holiday ever if you have under 10s, so much to do.

First time staying at butlins and i've found it to be a fantastic resort, so much to do for the kids.

The kids loved it , service can be a bit slow at the bars

The people that work there are lovely but the two rooms we had were horrible there was poo around the toilet and stains on the bed sheets.. the next room was perfect but when we flushed the toilet to see if it works it was blocked and was gross....
But the entanment was brilliant the staff were lovely. The other room was lovely

Good family resort nice little accommodations but could do with a revamp. Also the fairground could do with a fresh lick of paint. as bit out dated but still had a good time. Would come back and stay again

My partner and I were disappointed with the room. We stayed in one of their bungalows and the room was like a shoe box. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept on. It was ancient, the metal frame creeked with even slight movement and the mattress was a small double whilst the bed frame was a double. Went for a relaxing break and ended up leaving with a bad back! I have a feeling you don't get anything decent unless you pay through the nose.

Simple to get to parking onsite large rooms in gold tiered accommodation tv in front room and in master bedroom no TV's in smaller rooms plenty of onsite entertainment short drive to ingoldmells or skegness

Nice food, nice rooms, expensive prices once inside.

We came on holiday for the last weekend of the summer holidays we booked a Private caravan for our stay. The first 4 days of the holiday were good different entertainment on, only issue on them 4 days were on the Monday we had no entertainment during the day. On the 5th day of our holiday the entertainment just repeated what had been on at the weekend. We had paid extra to get fast pass bands but at this point they were pointless as we had seen everything already and been to a few shows twice so the kids got bored. The buffet food wasn't bad priced at all and the food was decent quality. It can be an expensive holiday for what it is, as alot of the extra entertainment you have to pay for like golf, some rides at the fairground, the climbing wall and many others. But it was a decent holiday and luckily the weather was nice.

Good stay friendly helpful staff just found someone's old socks in wardrobe and prizes could be better

Got everything for kids really nice recommend it to anyone

Sorry but just not my thing... We went for Spring Harvest & that was the only peace I found... Even the Sea was out of sight :-(

I am 30 years old and I have been going to butlins since being a little kid..... I absolutely love it..... It's my favorite place roll on may xxxx

It has been a few years since I visited here, but to be honest I wont be back.

The first time we visited, we stayed in the superior accommodation. This was a 2 bedroom apartment. Very nice and mostly clean (except the cleaner had used the toilet before leaving and not flushed).

The next visit, we went for basic accommodation. What a nightmare. It was once of the 'chalet' style buildings, and frankly it was like a cave. A filthy cave.

Cigarette and crisp packets behind all the furniture, filth on most surfaces, and best of all my duvet was splattered with blood and other fluids which I don't wish to think about.

You would think that the staff might resolve the situation and maybe even apologise. Think again! After being passed from pillar to post, the housekeeping manager snapped at me to go away and there was nothing he could do because they were short staffed.

In the end I went for a sleeping bag on the floor. I couldn't even leave because I was part of a large party.

We went to Minehead a few years later. This was cleaner, but still full of drunk chavs.

So, no, as a family we wont be going back to Butlins.

Not enough entertainment to account for the amount of guests (you have to give up a days holiday to queue for a show you want to Watch), caravan site seems neglected it no longer has a convenience store and has poor lighting at night time. Aside from these points the whole Park is just obsessed with money and doesn't seem to care about the visitors at all. Will never become coming back, after many years of visiting me and my family have been very disappointed.

Beautiful resort and fun for the kids. We went out of season so not everything was open but otherwise it was very good.

Every member of staff were always extremely pleasant and helpful the only criticism is that the swimming pool changing rooms were disgusting as were the ladies toilets next to the supermarket our caravan was excellent and the whole family had a lovely enjoyable week

Plenty things for all the family regardless of age.

Most of the resort seems to have been recently refurbished and is clean and tidy. Security has been increased but is not intrusive.

Went for a day trip and have to say the pool was excellent, great fun for the whole family. The shows were okay but closed at 5 and we were on the park til 6 also there are height restrictions on some of the rides that I think weren't needed to be as high but all in all a good day

Butlins was great. But the lock on the didnt close probably and the young child i had with me kept going and playing in the bathroom. The main door to our appointment didn't double locl so as soon as the young child pulled the door handle down the door opened so we had to have the door chain on at all times when we was in.

Awesome place and the pool is great. Staff are friendly and there is more than enough to do. A lot to keep you busy as a family and loads of entertainment. The pools are clean with plenty of lifeguards about with sufficient amount of More

Everything to entertain adults and kids under 1 roof

Me and my sister went on our first holiday just us and we had such an amazing time! As soon as we got there was came to a security checkpoint in witch is in operation 24 hours a day. Our accommodation was so nice with lil touches of Butlins history and the facilities on camp your spoilt for choice. From a massive arcade to a show area right in the middle of the tent. Many bars, restaurants and a very big swimming pool with slides

Rooms are basic but reasonably clean and comfortable. Swimming pool is spacious and modern, good range of slides and pool depths/styles. Good range of bars and restaurants.

Overall a good weekend but room cleanliness not very good and we had an ant infestation in bedroom which was sorted when reported. Expensive for what it is though.

We're here for 2000 weekend so far it has not disappointed a1 and sonique have been amazing still loads more to see oh and I recommend buying breakfast in your deal as food is also amazing and spoiled for choice

I love Butlins skeggness because it has so much to do the people there ar so nice and it just fills your heart with joy. The pool is one of my favorit ports of Butlins skeggness i would realy recomend going there with your family. I did the potery and the arts and crafts. If i could i would give it 10 stars. You need to go there

Cold, dirty room. 'Premium' dining options is a waste of money.

Book a butlins caravan over a private one on site. We had a private platinum last time and for 4 of the 5 days i couldnt get out of bed, found out it was a has leak they wouldnt fix so i had gas ppisoning and almost died. Used butlins caravans and chalets before then and always perfect. Will only ever use butlins vans or chalets now.

Really good apart from not able to go swimming as the queue was so long and wasn't able to wait in as my son has autism and wanted to go

With the Covid 19 pendemic still with us and the new measures introduced by Butlins Skegness management as regards Gold accommodation non provision of towels on a daily basis would present a problem as not only this service has been paid for by these category of guests it is a shame that no mention of this development was made in the presentation video nor any attempt to address this lapse, if we are not getting housekeeping Gold resident guests should get a refund on this aspect of their holiday. This is non negotiable.

Butlins skegness is incredible. Been oming here for over 20 years now. Lovely resort, lots to do and lots included in price. Rooms are great and the service is excellent, everybody who works here is friendly and helpful.

Butlins Skegness is an amazing place lots to do with your children . Places to eat and have fun great entertainment. All the staff Red coats are happy to help and everyone is happy. I have been going there for 20 year sometimes twice a year love it .

Extortionate prices on the rides... 6 pound to jump on a trampoline

Really good for kids. Swimming is fantastic could be in there hours. Funfair and entertainment is also really good

Went to the British Folk festival.

The rooms are spotless and nicely decorated . Staff work rally hard to keep the place clean too. You never wait too long to get served (jelly fish lounge).

We ate in the Lido restaurant which was nice. We went to get a drink in the pub but service was a bit slow in there.

The music was good even though not my taste but we generally went for the craik.

Working here at present time and Butlins have provided us with accomm. So I'm guessing we have been put in standard room's. If we have then I would like to see the "upper class" rooms as the one im in is "FANTASTIC".
I've already made plans for some of the "up n coming" adults 80's weekends, it's Bang-On

Had to cancel due to covid 19 they have still not refunded our money totally disappointed!!!!!! Chasing emails bit no reply!!

Excellent resort, with plenty to do for all ages of the family, apartments do need a little bit of maintenance including facilities like the microwave or dishwasher and fridge which were either dirty, smelly or unusable, rooms were great including the bathroom. Staff are friendly and the resort is spotless and the facilities are great. Paul Zerdin and Diversity were great and also the shows for kids, live wrestling and the circus were equally entertaining. Would definitely recommend.
