Butler County Child Support Enforcement Agency Review

I'm pretty sure the worker I talked to was named Betsy, she was very polite and helpful, she went out of her way to help me and my case. I had a very good experience.

Don't care about nothing but the woman and their cut.

They are very disrespectful on the phone no help at all

Butler County CSEA is a complete and total joke!! I do not receive child support payments consistently. The obligor does notify me when a payment is made because he and I both know that it takes at least a week for me to ever receive the payment; no matter the type of payment made ie; credit card or mailed check. Seems like every single time I call about the payment it never shows in the system but yet within the same day.......boom I receive the payment. Strange that no information shows up about a payment but it s in my account the same day.
I won t even go into details about the disgruntled tone of the CSR!! This place and these people are such a WASTE!!

The system is screwed up so eff'n bad. The money support to go for the child and it needs.

They are Not about truly collecting for the child's benifit , 149 a month . really thats laughable , it cost me that at least for her lunch a month. My daughter thanks them for nothing as well.

Waste of time.. May as well work 5 jobs then deal with this agency! If a parent is able to avoid this agency... AVOID them!

This ain't for sht can't even get to a live person??! Then it doesn't have what I need in options and disconnected me after cutting In n out I've used 3 phones to try calling smh this sht unreal

Csea. A JOKE !! I know and have talked to many men and woman regarding their support and the amount they have to pay is RIDICULOUS ! I would love to create a group and show the unfairness to men verses the woman that are behind and that know the system. Child support should be a set amount for everyone not u make this amount and he/she sits on ass and collect the money. U don't want involvement then yes u pay.
You want involvement it should be 50/50

And how about updating computers so people don't need to call you to do your job when it's been 6 months and no support!!!

I wish somebody that works at Butler County Child Support Enforcement Agency was willing to do a little bit of work. My wife has 2 children from a previous marriage and her ex was ordered to pay close to $500 a month nearly 10 years ago. He is about $60,000 behind on his payments (the kids have gotten approx. $600 total in 10 years from him) No matter how many times she calls, or what they promise her, nothing ever gets done. He has a job, it took her 5 minutes of investiaging herself online to find out where he worked. but for some reason the authorities are not able to get this information about his employment. It's ridiculous. I had an uncle that was a week behind, less than $100, and the agency was all over him. I guess because it didn't take much effort when someone is cooperating. COME ON BUTLER COUNTY CHILD ENFORCEMENT AGENCY!!!!! My step kids are getting absolutely screwed over by their father and you are letting it happen!!!!

I have received no assistance from this facility! My sons father has been working for more than 5 years and every time he goes to court he claims to be a stay at home dad, took my son on jobs with him! This agency has never looked into his employment. I have called and emailed and received the same answer we don t have anything on file for employment!!!! Waste of time!!!!!

What a pathetic group of people who identify themselves as customer service representatives. Sounds like they all hate their job. They all are very rude and not friendly at all. When I asked a question that she didnt know the answer to she proceeded to ask if there was anything else that I needed. If that ain't the most passive aggressive statement. It dont matter if your the one that receives support or the one that pays same terrible service.

I have yet to receive any payments at all. It has nearly been a year and I am a single mother. They don t do anything to enforce payment and when I contacted my case worker they said they were working on it. A year?!! If I knew i still wouldn t be getting help going through this system I wouldn t have even wasted the time going there. Payments are stacked and I still receive $0. I honestly believe I won t receive anything until my kid is 18 which is total bs.

Just spoke with Barbara today regarding an employment change to ensure there was no gap in my support paid to my ex from a my current employer to my new one. The process is almost simple enough to not even be called a process. She was knowledgeable and answered my questions quickly and thoughtfully and politely. The entire call took less than 3 minutes.

Woman I spoke to did not even give name! Rude as can be! obviously hates her job and her life! I guess if you have to pay support and you do so having never missed a payment and take care of your children you are are still a POS in some people's eyes! Unreal the level of crap you have to deal with being a decent person who is ordered to pay support! No person should have to deal with such hatful people just to make sure everything is in Order with your support!

Too bad 1 is the least you can go. This system is the WORST. I get conflicting paperwork and information, names spelled wrong and wrong info in regards to an address change which made me miss the appeal dates. The person paying support is looked at like a god of some sort for making a few payments on time that all else falls by the waste side! What about the years of non payments? the countless times they didn't call with employer information? I especially like how the director pawned me off on some attorney when he didn't want to answer my questions. Who makes the rules anyway? Cause they suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! karma is a b-

I was asked to leave the office of the advisor I met with after they dismissed my case when I began to ask about what they were going to do about the back support my obligor owes. Horrible agency completely geared towards destroying the family structure, tearing down fathers who struggle to get by and doing little to help anyone or anything other than their bottom line.

After 17 years of perfect child support payments, my daughters mother decided she needed more of my money so a review was filed. She lied in court about her income, and with no hesitation they just took her word for it. Tell me how you life in a new $300k house, while making a car payment, plus cell phone bill, while going to disney 3 times a year on $38,000 a year......come on. After the review my child support doubled. Then it took them 4 to 5 months to process the new order which puts me owing back child support and a derogatory mark on my credit...thanks butler county child support agency.

Turned my paperwork in for a review in my child support case. Received a call about a week prior to my review hearing date and stated they didn t have my paperwork and if I planned on turning it (very rude like). Made her aware that I did in fact turn it in and had a receipt to prove it. She magically found my paperwork and stated it wasn t attached to the case and said that is all. Call the Monday following my review and the lady was in fact rude again. Stating it wasn t a hearing and the lady reviewing my case was behind and when I asked why it stated it was a review hearing (have the paper in front of me) she stated that I was wrong and that she was still reviewing from the day prior and just behind and I needed to give her time, in a very condescending tone. She called me back 10 minutes later to tell me in fact that she was wrong and that my ex asked for an extension and needed 15 days extra to file his paperwork. So she was wrong and super rude me. Tells me that they are not looking into your case when you call.

Super rude people the whole lot and they refuse to give you any information that will help. They treat me so nasty every time if you can avoid going through them do. Dealing with the juvenile courts would be better. I wish I would have know that was an option prior to going through this support department. The people always act like they are better than you when they are constantly messing up and giving wrong info. Just take a few minutes and look over the case fully and show some customer service.

I would love to leave -5 stars. My sons father owes me 10's of thousands of dollars. I haven't recieved a payment in years, and when I did it was $8 per pay (not even exaggerating). My sons father lives in montgomery county, works as a waiter at Chuys ( or last I heard) and has been able to evade any type of consequence. Shame on you CSEA for not holding him accountable. God knows I feel powerless as I cannot get anyone to act on my behalf. I'm tempted to contact a news channel as his father holds political office in montgomery county.
EDIT: This place is a joke. I tried going online to look up my account information and leave a message and it said " page not found" after I submitted it. I wonder if the ombudsman could help.

terrible, they have the address of my sons father he owes 25,000$ but you have done nothing, wasted excuse of a payroll check and a disgrace to the state of ohio

I didn't want to leave 1 star I have never dealt with people who doesn't care about their job everytime I call its like I'm bothering them they are not helpful at all my son dad pays maybe 3 times a year and nothing gets done for them to be women you would think they would care a little more

I pay and recieve. Its amazing how different they treat me when i call about both. If i call about what im owed they are nice to me. If i call about what i owe im a peice of s***!!!! Worst experience with a business ever besides mcdonalds!!! There should be a 0 star button!!!!!

Rude staff. The automated system is absolutely terrible. Every time I ve had to contact someone here it s been far from a pleasant experience. If I could rate below one star I would because they don t derserve any stars. I dread calling this place, no one seems to know anything in regards to what you call to figure out. I d rather talk to a barrel of rocks than any one at this place.
