On Dec. 4th. 2012, I bought a 2012 Ford F-150, we went back and forth on price, trade price and what I would receive. Finally make a Deal and at that time was satisfied, I am disabled so in the deal I wanted step rail's to help me get into my truck. I called and called and finally they were shipped to me. Excited I open them up only to be very disappointed, the sales manager had promised me that they would be oval chrome step bar's, seeing the truck had chrome bumper's and they were black. I immediately called, e-mailed and a few day's later got a call back from Mike who said he didn't tell me that they would be chrome. I said to him that my Wife witnessed the agreement and he said "I have witness too". I said to him, why would I along with anyone want to put black bar's on their truck with chrome, I told him if the truck had black bumper's I would except them. He started with well your trade was this and that, I had to do this or that, I can't put no more money into this. I told him that he had looked at my trades and that had nothing to do with it, a deal was a deal. Needless to say, we didn't get anywhere with this conversation. Also, my 45 day tag they gave me ran out and I called about it in concern that I may get stop and charged. They said they called and left a message for me and was awaiting my call back to see if I was coming to pick it up. I told them that this was also discussed at the signing, that it was to be mailed to me. Seeing that I live 2 hrs. away would be a 4 hr. round trip, again they had amnesia, I waited a few more day's and finally went to the local HWY Dept. explain my situation. The DMV let me turn my old tag in and gave me a new one with a new registration... This had to be and still is the worse experience I have ever encountered with a dealership. Now I'm in the process of filing a small claim's against them for all of this, I am still unable to get into my truck without discomfort. I'm glad I've got all the e-mail's and some other documentation proving my claim, I just wish they would do the right thing and settle this because its going to end up costing them more once I file this claim if found in my favor and I believe it will, I have the paperwork now and plan on mailing it to the Magistrate Office to be file on Tues. That's when the ten day's will be up that I gave them to try and settle this. Oh, Mike did tell me when we spoke if I sent the bar's back along with $200.00 check, he would get me the chrome step bar's. I told him before I done that I would give the court $80.00 and chance not getting nothing but I felt sure with all my evidence I would win... VERY VERY UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER !!!

My son brought a 2017 Jeep Patriot on 1/17/17 for $17,665.24 plus $5,055.76 add on, which came to $22,721.00. My son's credit is not good but it gets better for Butler Dodge as a result of his BAD credit.
They (Butler) then give him 20.90 % annual percentage rate, yes 20.90%
because this what they think of young buyers with not so good credit. The GOOD FOLKS @ Butler have this good deal financed @ Chrysler Capital
how wonderful. The grand total for a $17,665.24 with 72 months @560.92 is $40,386.24 WOW ! I got more, total sale price including $2950.00 down payment is $43,336.24. My son believed he was winning
but as you can see he was being MAXED OUT FOR BUTLER & Chrysler Capital . $2950.00 came from them giving him $950 trade in,$500.00 cash he gave as down payment,$1500 REBATE they give him. LOL they got all that back and more. I took the Jeep back and asked salesman Timothy Dolan for my son's $500 back because this is a BAD DEAL, he then tells me in front of my son let me go to my manger & get your $500 back. The sales manger Bryce Nathan Paylor comes out and says that no way his salesman would have said give my son back as $500. I told him that this is a BAD DEAL but if $500 going to make him then its yours. He then tells me since I wouldn't help my son by co signing this is how it is & that he will have a repo on his credit. My son lost $500 but its a small price to pay he would have been paying over 3 times the worth of a $17,665.24 car. People, don't do business with Butler Dodge. My son did this to himself but OMG he does not deserve this. THEY ARE LIARS ! Would they give the above deal to their kids or love ones? I will post the whole contract later.............

I went to Butler Dodge to check on a new vehicle. Mr. Kirby said he will get back with me in a few days he called the next day and I was driving in a 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi. I wasn't expecting that. Mr. Kirby took great care of me. The entire team was awesome. I will send friends to Mr. Kirby any day.

Very friendly service from Debbie, They truly showed they did not care about just taking my money, they wanted to help me get my car in, get it fixed, and get it back to me. Extremely helpful, caring and overall fantastic experience from the services department, will be coming back for future maintenance.

Stopped in for a few minutes after work this week and let Chris know what I was looking for in a vehicle. He had a few picked out and sent me info on Friday. I let him know which I liked, swung in sat mid morning, test drove and purchased all in 90 minutes. Sales, service and finance offices were amazing and got me.just what I needed and I didn't spend all day at the dealership! Highly recommend

I made the drive down from the complete opposite side of the state. The entire experience was quick and easy. I had talked to Butler over the phone and everything was ready when I got there. The entire experience was completely different than the other nightmares of other dealerships. Heck, I ran out of my local ram dealer after being hassled by a bunch of sleezeballs. The folks were extremely friendly and got my out in my new truck in no time. I would recommend Butler to anyone who not only wants a deal but also a simple and friendly buying experience.

Yes I would recommend Butler Chrysler Dodge Jeep! when I go to buy my next vehicle, this will always be the first place I go to. It just starts with the new purchase. What's most important is the service staff to me. They work extra hard to help protect my investment. Always smiling, friendly and verifying and searching if any recalls exist besides the preventive maintenance. They always have worked around my last minute scheduling without an appointment and have never failed me. The Service staff as well as the entire Butler team creates and maintains a true Customer and dealership relationship that maintains my loyalty to them. I think the last person I had wait on me was Stephanie, but always whoever it is does an awesome job.

I have nothing against the Butler family. They have provided great service in certain areas of business since I have lived here. What I am disappointed with is the absolute awful service at Butler Chrysler Dodge Jeep, mainly in the service department. I have a 1995 Dodge Ram 2500, with a minor transmission issue. I am a mechanic, I have several ASE Certs, and I had a pretty good idea that the solenoid was sticking or something was wrong with the Front Pump. When I brought it in for service, I explained the symptoms and I told them what I thought it was. Three hours later, I received a phone call from a extremely rude Service Advisor and the only thing she would tell me is that The transmission was shot, and I would need a new one for around $6,200. First off, I knew that this was not correct considering I had been driving this truck for quite some time with these symptoms. I went to go pick up the truck, and on my receipt, the technician put "The transmission is shot because of a leak." Well guess what bud, there is no leak. Nor is the transmission shot. Secondly, how in the world does it take three hours to find a small leak that doesn't even exist? Finally, I also know that it does not cost $6,200 for a new transmission nor does it cost that much to rebuild that transmission. I called a buddy of mine and he immediately told me that this dealership had some pretty awful reviews, were notorious for scamming people, and had poor customer service. So i took my business somewhere else to New River Auto Mall Dodge Chrysler Jeep. And like i Guessed, It was a stuck solenoid. So, I don't know if the technicians are inexperienced, or if they were trying to scam me; but the conclusion is that they misdiagnosed my truck, they tried to scam me, and they were quite rude about it. Also the fact that I am a technician with under two years experience and I was able to diagnose my own truck better than a Chrysler Master Tech is pathetic. Once again, nothing against the Butler Family, but I am quite disappointed with my experience with the Service department and will not be taking any of my personal vehicles there ever again. Oh and one last thing, a sales associate also told my girlfriend that she was not allowed to look at cars on the front lot, and yes this was during normal business hours.

Overall pretty good experience. Danny did a good job.
I had texted back and forth with Chris and thought we had made a deal. After I arrived (drove 4 hrs) and test drove the vehicle, one of the sales guys, maybe a finance guy, briefly sat down with us and presented the original numbers prior to agreed upon deal, as if no negotiatiation had occurred. Kind of a sleazy car dealer move...bait and switch. He informed me that he as well as Chris were texting me and that what he texted meant something other than what I understood. Maybe I misunderstood... but don't think so. I never met Chris.. I was about to leave when sales manager compromised and made the deal work. I like the car I bought.

Richard is the best. He has always taken his time with me and I am no princess. I m impatient and I want things MY WAY. He has always walked me through everything. This is our 4 th vehicle from Richard and Butler Jeep. This experience I met Dillion and he is an amazing guy right next to Richard. The service staff is second to NONE. The finance team HATS OFF TO YOU. I can t express to you enough. I m a tough cookie. I will drive two hours(and I did) to buy my vehicles from this staff. I love everything they stand for. If I could leave no stars I would. I understand you want to sell, but WOW so so pushy.ive never felt that vulnerable in my entire life. I asked to look at vehicles and they wouldn t show me. I kept telling them I wanted to look at older models and they showed me a brand new one. I tried to leave a handful of times, they chased me to the car. I was in my car with the egnition on and they kept pestering me, knocking on my window! The floor manager that was still a baby tried his little heart out. Worst experience at a dealership EVER. I have never felt more annoyed in my life. They also ran my credit without asking. Definitely calling BBB. Also, people please never ever ever go over 72 months for payment or listen to the you can refinance gimmick. They think I m stupid, they don t know who I am

I was warned by a former employee there but I made a bad decision of stepping foot in that place.

I ve very happy with my experience at Butler. It was my first time purchasing a car and Robert and John made the process very easy and made sure that I understood everything that was going on and how it worked, not skipping any details and continuously offering to be of service after I leave the lot with my new car. Robert was very diligent in getting back to us when I was interested in the vechile when other dealerships wouldn t bother to return our calls. He made sure I understood all the features of the car and had it freshly cleaned once I arrived to see it in person. The entire process went so well and I m so happy with my purchase that I know I made the right hdecision. There s a lot to be said about how great Butler is considering we drove 3.5 hours from home to get there. Would highly suggest!

I would like to tell anyone looking to save money and have a knowledge salesman. They need to come to butler and deal with Danny he did a awesome job as car salesman. He acted like it was his own dealership. Just great. Also the general manger mike came out and met me and went above and beyond his job to give me a great price. They beat other deals by a lot. Even the finance manger was like fast and efficient.

So customer service when I first got there was oka...

So customer service when I first got there was okay. I had bought a 2012 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid from them at a reasonable price and APR, and all was good. A month in, my engine threw a rod due to a lack of oil (Keep in mind this is a month after I purchased this so it should ve been good on oil) and the rod went through the engine block. Took it to them and they claimed I did it and that insurance would pay for it. An insurance inspector came out and examined the car and determined it was a mechanical failure (Which would ve been covered by the extended warranty I purchased along with the vehicle). But this dealership wouldn t do anything despite there being physical and VISIBLE proof that the problem came from INSIDE the vehicle. So took it to another dealership and they plopped a new engine in there, so all was well. A couple months later, I had other problems with the car (as would be expected with an older car), and this dealership said they couldn t work on it because it s a hybrid. Well why in the world are you selling cars that you can t work on if something goes wrong? Long story short, I need to drive all the way down to Hardeeville to have my vehicle worked on. If you re a first time car buyer, I would not recommend this dealership at all.

Today (5MAR2021), I stopped in at Butler Chrysler Dodge Jeep/Beaufort SC and I would first like to say that the new location and building is "Beautiful"! I would next like to thank Mr. Danny Powell (Salesman) at this store. Throughout my 21yrs in the US Army, I can count on 1 hand, how many salesman that I've experienced and actually genuinely trusted and it has been 3 and Mr. Powell is #3. Although, I did not purchase a vehicle today, he was polite, respectable and most importantly " HONEST" something that I've noticed is lacking in this line of business. I will definitely be back to see Mr. Powell very soon to purchase my Birthday vehicle aswell as direct new soldiers that are in line for a vehicle because I truly believe he will take care of them! ! I give Mr. Powell 10 ! Thank you again!

Last review did not do it justice. I went through 3 different dealers trying to trade in my 2015 corolla but because I was upside down, no one could work with me. I came here and they not only helped me and got the trade but gave me a brand new 2020 dodge charger sxt. I absolutely love my car. I was helped by Richard striegel. He was patient , funny and understanding. Thank you for your help. 10/10 would recommend.

I purchased a new 2020 Jeep Wrangler Willys Unlimited from Butler Chrysler Dodge Jeep, in Beaufort SC. My online salesman was Quinton Williams, he did a excellent job on the sale, all paperwork was thoroughly completed when we arrived from out of State. The entire process took less than an hour. I would highly recommend Butler Chrysler Dodge Jeep dealership and especially Quinton Williams! We will return to buy another vehicle from Quinton in the future.

We have never had anything short an OUTSTANDING experience with Butler in Beaufort. Tim Stewart took over running the dealership about 18 months ago and he's amazing! We just bought our THIRD vehicle from them and honestly can't say enough great things about them. We highly recommend these guys and genuinely appreciate everything they've done to get us the best possible deal- 3 times over. From the GM, Tim, to our sales rep, Charles, to the finance dept. where Tiffany is... we truly do enjoy dealing with them each and every time. If you haven't been by there in awhile- give em' chance.
*UPDATE* The only negative thing I can and will say is that we never received our referral check for referring friends of ours there. We were told and, our friends were told when buying their Jeep, that we would get a $500 check for them mentioning our names. That NEVER happened. I contacted them multiple times regarding that and got the run around. It's been over a year now and still... nothing. So, on that aspect- we were pretty disappointed- especially after the number of vehicles we've purchased through them in such a short amount of time.

I came in for a diagnostic on my radio, one function wasn t working but to repair it the entire radio needed to be replaced. The service department gave me the option of repairing at the dealer or since my vehicle is older and the radio wasn t the car brain, an alternative of an after market upgrade somewhere else. This suggestion ensured they will have my business as long as I live here. They were looking out for the customer and not their profit and I truly appreciated that.

Update: My first review was a year ago. They have not disappointed. You can not even get Peacock dodge on the telephone to schedule service. At this location Trey answers the telephone like she has known you all your life. She takes care of the customer and you feel like family. She is the number one reason why we keep going back. All the staff are great but Trey handles the service department like the boss she is.

It is a nice distance from our home just for an oil change but the staff here are amazing. Friendliest I have seen around this area. Can t wait to go back!

I give this Delaership 4 out of 5 stars due to the following.

Positives-
-Large selection of new and used cars. If they do not have the vehicle you are looking for they can find one in the area or have one shipped to the site for you.
-Friendly salesmen that are not pushy or ask for all of your info up front. This is the reason why I purchased a used 2016 GMC Terrain Denali from them.
-Never a long line to be seen in the Maintenance department.
- Mopar store inside.
- New dealership in work for relocation

Negative -
-Semi-long wait for general maintenance.
-waiting room small, and generic. No upgrades do to new dealership relocation opening up down the street.
-Phone customer service can be better. Long waits.
- Not good visibility from the main road. Difficult to find.
