Bury Council Review

Disgusting customer service, poor service, anyone in Fairfield area who wants to pay parking permits in cash can get "special permission" from Christine seamore who overrules any letters they have sent out by simply stating u don't want to give your card details over a non-secure fone line and/or you don't have a debit card. State Mr standring was given permission to pay cash and it's Equal opportunity if she doesn't. Was issued permission 17th Jan 2020.

If you want to raise a formal complaint about how the staff at Whittier street speak to you etc be prepared for another staff member to phone you giving more attitude and quiz you as to why you have complained etc.

Council is an absolute joke.

Bury Council don't seem to have cut the grass in any public spaces around Whitefield/Prestwich for the past 2 months, it's not as if one man on a lawnmower can't social distance. The area looks a disgrace.

Can't give a zero star so have to give them a 1. Ignorant and useless.

Bar two good councillor who really do a good job the town is run by Muppets. The council is allowing the Bell Lane area to became a no go zone for people who care about where they live.

I'm so glad we left Bury.

Disgusting service i keep getting letters for my ex wife who has never lived at my current address asking her to vote! i asked for this to be sorted which you said you had done. Low and behold another letter has arrived today in her name!!! you dont know what your doing bury council!!!!! i have complained to the information comisioner and the ombudsman!!!

Absolutre Brilliant work by Bury council for quick response to helping out businesses in their borough. Efficient action aporeciated.

Bin collecting is a joke. Might as well just dig a hole and bury it myself.

The worst service I have ever experienced from an organisation. Got cut off twice after waiting over 10 minutes. Got through eventually on 3rd call and holding for 37 minutes. They could give no reason why my bill had been sent to the wrong address. Didn't even care. All I got was we do not issue the bill. It came from Bury Council and had the council logo and I pay the council.
I have now sent 3 emails and surprise surprise, not one response.

I h'ave been trying to pay a Council bill online for over a week, but it keeps saying that the system is unavailable - but it waits until the last step to tell you this... directly after the page where your bank says payment has been made.

Are your parking attendants on comission based pay??! they're ALWAYS lurking around the alleyways of bury town ready to pounce when driver is out of view. I mean they don't have anything better to do! No more pay and display to issue penalties. You seem to target the food delivery drivers as they're not allow to park nowhere considering the current situation with the pandemic should be allowed to park in loading bays when not in use!!!! They struggle parking as normal parking is always full during peak times. Not allowed to park in Taxi bays. Where are they suppose to park???

Bury council should be ashamed at how they have left the area to just go to ruin, the roads the litter even the town centre pavements are very poor, and poor radcliffe the forgotten town,need i say more, so sad..

How a Council can take weeks to reply to important emails is beyond me. I cannot call as I am at work during their opening hours. It's absolutely ridiculous.

This council has no pride in other towns other than Bury itself. Can't cut grass, can't empty bins, can't fix roads, can't clean streets (pavements are overgrown with weeds). Need to change their ways.

One star only because can't do no stars lol iam n ex sixtown worker who worked well got good reports from public work n just because I took two weeks of with docs sick note I got sacked two weeks before Xmas not only did thay sack me on first week of my sick note that sacked me two weeks before Christmas and to make things worse thay took all my holiday pay bk so my wage on the 22nd wos only a 3rd of what I was ment to get so not only did I get sacked I got sacked on first week of sick note n two weeks before Christmas I got the worse wage ever n cos i haven't worked there for more than two years I couldn't do f... all so my view of six town is not very nice p.s don't trust a word thay say

Massive pot hole damaged my 10k car ...

Spent several months trying to sort
All fell on deaf ears

300 quid excess and lost no claims...

Funny thing was they fixed the road with 18 days

But said it was checked 10 months previously which is all fine....

Average council tax bill pa for that st is 2500 per year but happy to leave the road in a joke state.

Alot of Stress and inconvenience
Without my car for over 40 days as the damage was over 800 quid.which I'm not paying more on my new policy and future due to claiming via my own car insurance.

But didn't want to know.
