I would highly recommend Louise Straw at Burtoncopeland for her reactivity and transparency. After a particular argument with a neighbour (ongoing issues), false allegations were made against me. The police turned up on a Friday when I wasn t in. I therefore contacted a number of Law firms in Manchester for advice early on the Saturday morning. Louise called at 07.15am and provided me with a thorough legal understanding of the situation. As such no further action was taken against me.

I had many run ins with the law and had accumulated over 22 Convictions by the age of 23. My negativity and criminal behaviour culminated in an incident that took place in January 2008, which would leave 1 man fatally stabbed and myself charged with Murder and facing the prospect of life imprisonment. I found myself in the unfortunate position of facing a Crown matter, despite never having been in any bother all my life. This was a very distressing time, and I didn't know what to do.
I initially went with another solicitors, and was not pleased with their level of service, lack of communication, and diligence in dealing with my case.
Therefore I looked online and found Burton Copeland. I decided to transfer my representation to them, and never looked back.
Hannah Costley was my solicitor appointed, and she was fantastic. She was so friendly, knowledgeable, reassuring and helpful. She also made every effort to make herself available when I needed to talk with her, and get back to me promptly when I contacted her, which was a massive plus.
I also was appointed Niamh Ingham as my barrister, and she too was just great. A very helpful, insightful, knowledgeable and decisive advocate. I felt in very safe hands with her representation.

She was always available and confident during the proceedings. She achieved the best possible outcome whilst looking out for my best interests. We actually ended up receiving an incredible outcome which normally doesn t happen.

Gwyn Lewis is an absolute genius, I thought I would be looking at a ban, with points toting up, when I got a letter from Kent police, for supposedly dangerous driving, or driving without due care and attention, he drafted up a letter, of asking for certain evidence, which an off duty police officer, reported me, and then straight away all offences were dropped, saved my license and livelihood, with just what he does, if I accepted like what most people do, with what police throw at you, think again, one of the best moves I ever done, getting in touch with Gwyn.
A late review but Johnathan and Bonny were amazing for my partner and stuck by him for the last 4 years and defended him to the hilt as well as always keeping him updated at every stage and making us aware of the stages that were next and always being on the other end of the phone when ever he needed someone to talk to. Couldn t recommend them enough they gave him his life back and amazing advice . Thank you !
