Got in and fast. Very friendly guard's was 7 hrs early and got a door in 20 minutes and was out in 2 hrs

This place one slow deal. I don t know if there lazy or democrats going on 6 hours wow

Refrigerated wharehouse. If you've been here you know what it's like. If not, then it's none of your business.

Love these guys!!! They always take care of our drivers anytime we are there.

This place is a Joke! Let s begin with the lack of real leadership in management and safety and their ineptitude to resolve the flow of traffic on their property and the bottleneck created in front of the receiving docks adjacent to the Shipping and Receiving office. RIDICULOUS!!! This is inefficient and contributes to the long wait times. My appointment was at 01:00 and was not called until 02:45. It is now 05:15 and I have still yet to be unloaded. Second, let s talk about the rude woman in the receiving office. I called for an update and all I got was attitude. She obviously deals every day with the backlash of leadership s inability to solve problems at this facility. I ve been to several Burris locations and this by far is the worse. In fact, I ll never return. It s not worth the disrespect toward time and human dignity which is apparently all they are good at offering here. What a disgrace to the rest of the company and to the Burris brand. SHAMEFUL. If I were the executive team I d be looking razor sharp into the operations at this facility. If you choose to come here don t say you have not been warned. I just hope you read this review before it s too late. Best of luck!

What struck me immediately upon arrival was the friendliness of the entry security. Apparently that's the culture at the Elkton location. Same thing with shipping and receiving, lumpers, etc. Lumper was expensive for 12 pallets $290. Arrived 2 hours late yet in a door being unloaded within an hour. Overall good experience. But again company pays the lumper!

The place is good has parking two hours before. but the recivend is a rude with all the drivers, unpleasant, in short a witch without feeling

Once you get backed in, everything is great! It's the hours of waiting for a dock after your appointment time that really sucks....

Besides the woman that has no personality or politeness when she calls your phone, they take a month of Sundays to unload you. I don't desire to return if I can help it

What, could it be they stepped up their game or the dead wait is on vacation because I got out there in 3hrs tops!

It wasn't all bad. I say that because of the securitas guard I had to deal with when I first got to the place. But after him everything else was good. Receiving and the new guard that was there when I left.

First off they got my doors mixed up, then it took 6 hours to unload a half a truck. Very unhappy.

Rude people don't care about nobody else might as well not even make an appointment they work on you and get to you when they feel like it

The check in guard keeps forgetting to put drivers on the receiving list, so you might end up loaded at the end of the shift

Worst place I ever come, waited for 12 hours, lady in the office was very rude

Fast processing, and unload... They charge lumper fees though so be prepared to Shell out some cash.
Also don't show up more than 2 hours early for your appointment, the guard will turn you away...
Besides that it's a good place to deliver to.

The finished slop, unload for a long time, earlier than an hour you can not go

I arrived around 7pm. My appointment was at 9pm. I was given a door around 8pm. I did not receive a call that my paperwork was ready until after 4am. Needless to say, I will NEVER accept a load going here again.

I like this Burris location...truck stops within 1-2 miles always fast unloading...just be on time for delivery

This place sucks, took them 4h for 3 palets of chees...

Avoid this place if you can. Bottleneck from the street to the staging area around the back of the building and a total mess at the doors by the receiving office. Oh, and be ready to spend 7 plus hours here. Bring all your day's meals plus snacks. Total mess

Obvious lack of quality control. My store receives pallets of rotten produce pretty much weekly. Unreliable as can be. We never recieve exactly what we order. Get product forced on us because they overorder certain items, which negatively affects my department's sales. Majority of products come without expiration dates. Won't respond to any form of communication. Overall terrible distribution center!!!

Overnight parking not available. Trucks park on road side. You can check in one hour before your appointment. Check in at the gate. Park inside along the road. They will call you for the dock. Within couple of hours I was out.

I came 7 pm by appointment time. Got phone call at 8 14 pm. ( come to the shipping and receiving office). Got door #6 on other side of the building. Start unloading at 10 pm. Got green light at 11 08 pm and now it's 01 00 am. Still waiting for the paper work. Lumper 180$. That's incredible.

Slow unloading , and you shouldnt wait hours for paperwork unload me and send me on my way, we have better things to do with our time.

On 06072020 at 1944 driver pulling burris trailer 1286 actually drove into on coming traffic to get into your yard. OTR trucks waiting in line like he should have. I trust and pray he was the exception and not the norm for your company.

Who the hell cuts out concrete in front of 12 receiving doors and doesn't fill holes??

Good place to go to the security guard Kenny was very professional and helpful. They have staging area where drivers can park until they call with a door.

Checked in at 7 pm for a 3 a.m. appt. I was directed to a staging area where I received a phone call and was given a door. I had a full load of various pies. They had me out by 10 pm. Security and receiving office were helpful and nice. No complaints

I'm late due to Shpr 7hr. delay. Had to pay $150 late charge not including $140 lumper. Been here over 2 hrs so far with no light change. I understand due to being late, but other truck driver been here 4+ and were on time. Now know why they have barbed wire. They want you to feel like your in prison. Their Prison.

Haven t been here in about 3 or 4 years. Last time said I wouldn t come back. Well I did and was not going to like it. Got here and come to find out this place has changed a lot. Not that bad any more. They have a small staging area now. In and out no issues. Still issue with the docks next to receiving office. Tight they are. Not the hell hole it use to be. Looks like some one from there has taken a look at what it was and trying to improve it. Which really shows. GOOD JOB who ever you are.

Security guards were polite nice people. I checked in early for a 10pm appointment I didn't get out of there until 3:50am. I didnt have any more time on my log and i had to leave because they don't let you park on their lot. If you are going to keep a truck waiting for so long provide some parking. If you can't provide parking unload faster. Trucks have to follow hours of service even when delivering to Burris.

I showed up at 645 for a 730 appointment. They immediately gave me a door and started unloading me about 7. They were all done by 830. Friendly people. Lots of vending machines to grab a snack.

My boyfriend worked here for four months and was fired because he was sick for a few days. He went into work not feeling 100% and had to leave early because he go worse. When he came home he had cold sweats really bad, I mean sweating through the sheets. He took a few days to recover from being sick and when he went back to work, he was told he was fired. Even though he called in the morning everyday to let them know he was still sick AND has PTO time remaining. Apparently Ms. Peggy from HR (whom I hear from multiple sources who work there is very ignorant and does what she wants to who she wants in regards to firing) had terminated him ON HIS DAY OFF. She claimed she called and talked to him and had a phone conversation with him and then handed the paperwork to corporate to sign off on the termination. The problem lies in these facts 1) she NEVER had a phone conversation with him 2) It is his DAY OFF 3) He had PTO time to use for being sick. When he called and got in contact with her she tried to use his performance levels being down for the past week as the reason for termination.....ummm hello, HE WAS SICK! Of course he isn't going to be able to to throw hundreds of boxes around all day that weigh 50 pounds plus when he is sick and weak! Be happy that he was even dedicated to work that he showed up and tried to get some work done for you! Doesn't seem they care about their employees health. You would think they would not want sick employees working around OUR FOOD but apparently people are sick all the time working and touching the foods that we consume, and I mean FLU sick. YUCK! Oh wait, let's not mention that if you call out sick for a few days and bring a doctor's note, they don't accept it....ON PURPOSE. So that they can say they never received it. WAIT, there is MORE......apparently if you call out sick, they take PTO (that's normal anywhere) but now there are write ups for being sick or having an emergency and not being able to come in?! DOUBLE WHAMMY! There is no morale at this particular location. The turn over rate is ridiculous! I actually am not a fan of my boyfriend working there and haven't been for some time now because their reputation SUCKS! It is sad that I can be talking about the working conditions and my friends mention the name of the company before I even mention it. Again, it is THIS location. We are going to corporate with this because Ms.Peggy lied the whole way through in order to get a termination approved. NO phone call was made, no conversation had, he has PTO, he was SICK, and it was his DAY OFF! There is no way corporate could have approved this knowing the TRUTH. We WILL BE TAKING THIS TO CORPORATE and THE BBB! Oh and his direct supervisor was in full agreement with the mishandling of the situation! Corporate will be getting a phone call TODAY WITHIN THE HOUR.

The staff in the shipping and receiving office sucks. They are completely unprofessional. Very rude, nasty, ghetto and uneducated acting females. The guy is very polite and helpful. Getting a door is usually quick but the wait for the paperwork after being unloaded is ridiculous. 5 to 6 hours sitting easy. Sometimes paperwork is at the desk but the female staff is to busy playing on the phone.

Worst place ever. Dark! Someone almost hit me. Appointment time was 11, didn t get a door until three am...was there until ten. And the big Shaquanda at the receiving office is as bad as they say.

Great trucking outfit, but they have cameras inside the cabs. And they run at night.

10 pm. Appointment put in door at 3 am still in door at 9 am worse than food lion , Walmart, or wakefern do not recommend this place can t give a negative rating. People are pleasant just they screw drivers around.

Awesome service unlike the CT. Ken the Security Manager was extremely professional and courteous. Staff inside was polite and had me in and out in 3 hours...all receivers should be like this place

Huge place and a lot of trucks in and out.

It charges a lumpers fee so they take long. A lot of walking and driving in the place because it's so big. I went around the place 3 times because it's all one way and the receiving door is far away.

But they got it all done right.

Perhaps they need a drivers Lounge and more truck parking. They are slow so trucks parked anywhere

The security team is awesome. Definitely on point with their job. Not bad getting unloaded.

From when I got into the door (before my appointment) and out, even with lumpers, less than an hour. Still have indoor bathrooms and vending machines available to drivers. Thank you. That in itself deserves 5 stars.

Got in and out fast enough for my delivery but the office was rude and even gave me the wrong paperwork at first. Not enough room to straighten up in front of your dock space and open your trailer doors.

Had a 1:00 am appointment and it s going on 5:00 am, these people at slow as h*ll. Drivers stay away, I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK HERE

Got a door around 3:10am on the other side of the building ( had to circle the building twice).

I got a call at 7:05 that i was done, drove around to pay the lumper only to find out that they did not accept my check even though I used these EFS all the time. She told me I had all night, to which I replied I was on the other side of the building. How was I supposed to walk around here? I just thought I will pay the lumper when I get the call.
So, I started to drive to the truck stop to get a check and didn t even make it to the gate when she called to threaten me I was gonna pick up my paper work at 7:00pm.
The lady at the window was extremely rude. I mean a little understanding lady, come on. I told her please I have a load, I have to go home, don t do this to me...to with she replied she needed to go home too. She gave me 10 minutes otherwise I was to pick up my paperwork at 7pm. They don t accept cash and my broker and dispatch only have efs.
Unbelievably rude.
When I returned from the truck stop with the check she had 3 drivers in line to check in, so she just wanted to screw with me and make me rush and drive like a lunatic.
If you don t accept cash, provide checks for drivers, even if you charge for them, but don t make the driver go to the truck stop, that s just unprofessional.

Why would I want to talk any more about this, sir? What did you do about my horrible experience there? Are you providing checks for the drivers?and fyi since then I have been using that type of EFS checks (the one that got rejected by your receiving lady) and they are accepted everywhere. If she doesn t understand someone s writing, she should say so instead of threatening the drivers they will pick up the paperwork the next day.

Very polite and fast unload time. I had a 2am and showed up at 9pm. Was in a door and unloaded by 10:30pm. This is how they all should be.

I hide no issues here. In fact everything went smoothly. Everyone was professional.

It took you guys 4hrs to unload 12 pallets which where all the same product and it didn t have to be broken down. So I was late to my second appointment, I just hope I have enough time to make it home to my family...

I had a awesome experience delivering here last night. The guards at the gate were spot on. The ladies in receiving were great. Must be a great place to work, because everyone seemed happy. I hope to deliver here again soon.

Arrived 1 hour before my appointment and be put by staging area. They call me before 20 minutes my appointment and assigned a door which took them 1/2 hour to unload 11 skids so I was out in one hour is my in and out time. Great place to unload.

U can come 1 he before appt, do not come early because they send u away. Time in 6 pm, appt 7pm, at door 7.30, time out 12:30 am half trailer, lumper 200

So sloooooow that glue on a cold January day moved faster. Unloaded my own cargo. Broke it down. Finished in two hours. Two hours and counting to get it checked in. Poor attitude in office. More interested in non-work related gossip.

Arrived 23:15 for 01:00 apt. Got door around 00:30 movement at 03:45 still in door waiting on paperwork at 06:00.

Anybody has No sense to talk.they don't know how to treat driver.

Had a 20:00 appt time. Checked in at 18:05. Was called in to dock at 18:50 and out the gate at 20:05. People were friendly. Docks are a little tight but that's to be expected in the northeast. Great experience here!!

Checked in at 18:30 for 21:00 delivery, got a door at 19:30 and I was out by 20:30. In all fairness, I only had 10 skids and everybody was very polite.
