The worst management hotel I ever met. Spent an hour for the check in process, they just drop your passport in a corner of your 170sq m room without informing you. The reason of such mess management I guess due to the deployment of many interns in the front working area.

Burj Al Arab Hotel is the first 7-star hotel in th...

Burj Al Arab Hotel is the first 7-star hotel in the world. It was designed by architect Tom Wright WS Atkins PLC but the exterior was designed by Khuan. At a height of 321 meters (1,053 ft), this is the tallest building used as a luxury hotel when completed and opened in 1999.

It took six years to build. It was on an artificial island 280 meters from Jumeirah beach, and used a private bridge to connect it to the mainland. This hotel has a symbolic architecture, designed as a symbol of Dubai and takes the form of an Arab sail that has no wind to the sea.

This is one of the most wonderful hotels in the world including 28 floors, 202 rooms scattered at 26 floors of the hotel. There is an extremely spacious and sumptuous Royal Suite room. The staff ratio is 8: 1 (8 people serve a guest) and there are 60 reception counters. There are luxurious services such as butler, Roll Royce or helicopter, use iPad 24k gold shell ...

It also has 8 restaurants. It has an oceanfront restaurant, 4 swimming pools, a modern fitness room, a high-end bar and spa. Especially, there is a helipad yard which is also a floating tennis court. Many places in the hotel are inlaid with gold leaves, swarovski crystals and statuario marble. Every year 10 tons of chocolate is used to make desserts here. Royal Suite rooms here cost up to 18,716 USD / night - the price that perhaps only the richest people have the opportunity to come and experience the great here.

Located in Jumeirah, Dubai - Burj Al Arab should be a 10 star property. A short stay would be beyond amazing. The room/suite will be absolutely fantastic, wonderful staff, everything, and I mean everything about this hotel is the most amazing ever. Furthermore Souk Madinat Jumeirah and Mall of the Emirates are worth checking out if shopping is on the agenda (Check out my review on Mall of the emirates), while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Al Sofouh Beach (Check out my review on Al Sofouh Beach), Umm Suqeim Beach and Kite Beach. Traveling with kids? Don't miss Wild Wadi Water Park. Kayaking, snorkeling, and parasailing offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with skydiving nearby.

Kind Regards,
Umair

Were on a honeymoon trip with your loved one! Expensive, rich, but worth it. Service, rooms and atmosphere deserve the highest ball. For breakfast, give pineapples and all sorts of delicacies. We were pleased with our honey moon. Separately, about aromas, the toilet smells cooler than my best perfume. It's a thrill!

The Burj Al Arab (Arabic: , Tower of the ...

The Burj Al Arab (Arabic: , Tower of the Arabs) is a luxury hotel located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is the third tallest hotel in the world (although 39% of its total height is made up of non-occupiable space).Burj Al Arab stands on an artificial island 280 m (920 ft) from Jumeirah Beach and is connected to the mainland by a private curving bridge. The shape of the structure is designed to resemble the sail of a ship. It has a helipad near the roof at a height of 210 m (689 ft) above ground.

Site

The beachfront area where Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah Beach Hotel are located was previously called Miami Beach. The hotel is located on an island of reclaimed land 280 meters offshore of the beach of the former Chicago Beach Hotel. The locale's name had its origins in the Chicago Bridge & Iron Company which at one time welded giant floating oil storage tanks, known locally as Kazzans on the site.

The old name persisted after the old hotel was demolished in 1997. Dubai Chicago Beach Hotel remained as the Public Project Name for the construction phase of Burj Al Arab Hotel until Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum announced the new name.

Design and construction

Burj Al Arab was designed by multidisciplinary consultancy Atkins led by architect Tom Wright, who has since become co-founder of WKK Architects. The design and construction were managed by Canadian engineer Rick Gregory also of WS Atkins. It is very similar to the Vasco da Gama Tower located in Lisbon, Portugal. Construction of the island began in 1994 and involved up to 2,000 construction workers during peak construction. It was built to resemble the billowing spinnaker sail of a J-class yacht. Two "wings" spread in a V to form a vast "mast", while the space between them is enclosed in a massive atrium. The architect Tom Wright said "The client wanted a building that would become an iconic or symbolic statement for Dubai; this is very similar to Sydney with its Opera House, London with Big Ben, or Paris with the Eiffel Tower. It needed to be a building that would become synonymous with the name of the country.

Fletcher Construction from New Zealand was the lead joint venture partner in the initial stages of pre-construction and construction. The hotel was built by South African construction contractor Murray & Roberts and Al Habtoor Engineering and the interior works were delivered by UAE based Depa.

The building opened in December 1999.

Rooms and suites

The hotel is managed by the Jumeirah Group. Despite its size, Burj Al Arab holds only 28 double-story floors which accommodate 202 bedroom suites. The smallest suite occupies an area of 169 m2 (1,820 sq ft), the largest covers 780 m2 (8,400 sq ft).

Suites feature design details that juxtapose east and west. White columns show great influence.Bathrooms are accented by mosaic tile patterns.

The Royal Suite, billed at US$24,000 per night, is listed at number 12 on World's 15 most expensive hotel suites compiled by CNN Go in 2012

The Burj Al Arab is very popular with the Chinese market, which made up 25 percent of all bookings at the hotel in 2011 and 2012.

ONE OF THE WORLDS BEST HOTELS

ONE OF THE WORLDS BEST HOTELS

The moment you see this bldg you get mesmerised the way it looks and shaped. Standing firm on the sea it is one of the architectural wonders built.

Before entering the hotel, you get zapped by the number of luxurious cars which are used to pick the elite guests staying in this grand and luxurious hotel. From a Hummer, a Merc to a Rolls Royce. It is a pleasure to the eye and deep hole in the pocket.

Entering the lobby makes you stay there for almost an hour with those gold painted huge columns, the shops around the lobby, the music fountain and finally the decor & ambiance.

Staying in this luxurious hotel will always be a dream come true, but atleast we could enjoy the nice buffet in the restaurant.

After lunch, we could sneak to the top floor through the capsule lift which is at the back side of hotel which overlooks the sea and give you a breath taking view. But you could take your breadth the lift is on its top floor where there is a helipad stationed for the rich and the elite guests. Unfortunately, due to security reasons we could not step out of the lift also and had to return back to lobby.

A must visit to this hotel with a deep hole in the pocket..
