Place is ok, drinks are fine, but all they serve is dead animal flesh and Mahal secretions. Vegan options are tater tots without the topping and pickles. Please expand your compassionate options.
Had the pork belly cubano and the meatball parmesan. The meatball parmesan was definitely the better sandwich, tho both were very tasty. I'd recommend the Bunk Berg, margarita floated on a beer. Very refreshing.
Great smaller venue, with food and drinks. Live bands always sound good!
Good sandwiches and very artistic patterns in their lattes!
The food was really good but one half of my sandwich didn't even have pork in it (I ordered the cubano). As long as you make sure your order is right you'll have a good meal there!
I m of two minds about this place, because I got suckered into buying a really bad drink here. It just had a too good of a name that I read it without reading the ingredients, I kind of just briefly looked at them. The name Typhoon Shandy was just too interesting. IN hindsight a combination of Tequila, Lime, Grapefruit and Beer had no possibility of working. On the other hand the place had a great atmosphere and the food was pretty good as well. While we were there we decided to sample the mole tots, which turned out to be a great decision since they were probably the best tots that I ever had. In hindsight the miscalculation was completely my fault, because there were other great drinks on the menu along with a good beer selection.
Some of the best damn sandwiches in town and a good selection of beer.
They have a delicious variety of sandwiches and sides. The staff was very friendly and helpful during our last visit. They also have a nice variety of drinks!
My favorite place to eat in Portland, the pork belly cubano is a must have!!!
A bit on the pricey side for lunch, although they make a mean grilled cheese sandwich for $4 and a cup of tomato soup for another $4 that will leave you quite satisfied. I usually get a small soup and salad for under $10.
Not-too-sweet frozen margaritas hit the spot on a hot day!
If you're after the amazing sandwiches Bunk is known for but you'd really rather hang out and have a couple of drinks, this is the place for you.
Eat - Pork Belly Bahn Mi, as good as it sounds
Drink - Turbo Shandy, don't ask just get one
Listen - actually a really good music venue, check the chalkboard
This is a laid back place that serves good sandwiches and has good acoustics whenever they put on a show! Thanks for a good time!
Cool vibe, great, great sandwiches and really good drinks.
Great for families during the day but also great for adults at night
I have been here before (Water) assuring my friend that this would be much better than the Bunk at Providence Park. Sure enough the sandwiches and debris fries were fantastic as expected until the last few bites of mine when what is staring at me but a short curly black hair. Mentioned it to the very tall spiky haired tattoed (sorry didn't get his name) staff member with glasses that there was a little black hair in my sandwich and he replied 'that's good to know, I'll make sure and not eat it' as he cleared the tray away. I suggested he may want to inform the kitchen staff as he turned and walked away - that's it. I wasn't asking for anything but wow...thought ownership may want to know the level of care and consideration your staff shows in representing your good Portland name. Never again. Gross and disappointing.
Superb! Pretty much a "must visit" whilst in Portland.
Has a pretty good bloody mary. Nice, open atmosphere. I love the antique desk chairs.
Best sandwiches and great live music on the weekends. Kudos to them donating their space for worthwhile fundraisers.
There's not much near by, so it's a destination spot for sure. Good food, and some fun events now and then. Staff is always nice!
food is decent, but the staff are not very helpful. So slow and still manage to get the orders wrong. Have tried twice, doubt I'll be back.
I d share my photo of my Cubano sandwich but it was so good I practically inhaled it immediately. Service was awesome and the bartender made a great Bloody Mary! Love this place and recommend it, especially after visiting OMSI.
I came in 30 minutes after opening and they were already busy. That's always a good sign. I got 3 sandwiches to go, all delicious!! The italian sub had olive oil soaked into the bread, and the spicy peppers on it were amazing. And the meatball sub had just the right amount of spice to it. Can't wait to come back.
Portland classic with excellent food and great live music.
Went for a show, it was nice, not a lot of seating, but great staff.
Best damn tots I've ever had. Go for the mole all the way. Paired well with the iceberg
Amazing sandwiches and cocktails. And this place has stood the test of time in the crowded Portland food scene.
Really amazing grill cheese. The fries were great. The wait time was fairly quick... About 10 minutes. My one complaint is that the Po'boy was dry.
Portions are very large.
The very best sandwiches I ve had in this city and they are always playing great music. Will be back again and again!
Great vibe, friendly staff, delish food and drinks... You can't go wrong here!
Hmmm, Bunk Sandwiches with booze? Count me in. Their bar isn't anything special but there's something about it that makes it a fun place. Finally, the sandwiches are of the same quality as their flagship location so feel free to order away.
Super awesome little bar, saw Lauren Ruth Ward here and it was one of the best shows I have been to, really personal, comfortable place. Had a fantastic time
We had never been here before. We always want to try something new. We went and was disappointed. First, the woman at the front was so rude. The entire time we were there, not one smile from her. Second the food was not that great for the high price that we paid. The only delicious thing was the ranch we dipped our tots in.
One of the BEST roast beef sandwiches I've ever had. Tater tots nice and crispy, with fantastic ranch for dipping. Highly recommend!
Good concert venue with booth seating and a full bar.
Decent food and beer for a decent price. Nice place to stop if you are using alternative transportation to an automobile when you are crossing the Morrison bridge near the east side of the river.
Very relaxed and casual sandwich shop by day, brewpub by night.
Great food...even better music...nice staff and good vibes...Worth coming anytime you are in the area...looks like they have good beer and cocktails too :-) :-) :-)
Great space / atmosphere. Good beer, good sandwiches.
25$ for 2 cocktails. Didn't get any food. Cool location near train tracks. Cocktails were good but nothing crazy.
Nice cozy bar. Occasional live music. Very tasty sandwiches are what they're known for. I often go for the grilled cheese and tomato soup. Mole Tots are also excellent!
Easy parking. Close to downtown. Nice atmosphere for group gathering.
Had a friend come into town and she asked me to take her here again. It has a nice interior. Feels similar to a cafe in Chicago I loved.
Nice space and my Cuban sandwich was tasty. Good live venue.
A great spot to stop for late night drink and a bite! Iceberg, anyone? Parking later on in the evening is no issue and their bar is perfect place to park yourself for a Blazers game and an italian meats sub.
Pork belly cubano is heaven. Also great fries and inventive drinks.
I'm not a sandwich person, but this place was actually pretty dang good! Fun place and quick service. Spring for the kettle chips and pickles since they add a little crunch and tang to contrast the richness and softer texture of the sandwiches.
Bunk is a fun bar that also serves yummy food. The drinks are good. Atmosphere is cool and you can't go wrong with one of their sandwiches. Whether you go for happy hour or late night you're gonna have. Good time.
Seating area is nice, and there are a lot of drink options.
Pork Belly Cubano and Blood Orange Pale Ale. I'm from Florida. I've been a long way from home for a long time and this cuban made me so happy. Hey, #pdx! Come here and get this cuban. Also, JD on the bar knows what's up. Thanks for a good recommendation!
This is the second time I have been here in two months. Last time I swore I would not come back. To my chagrin I returned again. Once again the service was horrible, smug and pretentious. Food is good service is atrocious.
One of those trendy places that is trying to be a dive but really isn't. For example, they sell American Spirit cigarettes so that the hipsters can hang around outside and smoke. I hated the icky padded edge around the bar, but I liked the wall mural. The draft beer list is short but has a good variety, plus there is a decent bottle list. Great sandwiches are available through a window to Bunk Sandwiches. Service was adequate, and laid-back.
I love bunk! The Pork Belly Cubano and the Bacon Egg and Cheese are to die for.
Nice staff however sandwiches were inconsistent. One tuna melt was good other tuna melt ended up being extra spicy. Sucks when your significant other got the spicy one and she hates spice. Not sure why they don't have a "spicy" notation on their chalkboard since they cater to everything else. The staff did offer to fix everything or get us something else but too late. With so many other choices in town won't be going back.
Had a nice time here. Could have got a little more service but she was alright
The bar is awesome. The meatball marinara sub is on point. This is a place to check out.
Love this spot! The sandwiches are always excellent and the drinks are well-made. For the price, the Old-Fashioned is a steal and on Fridays they have live music from local artists.
It's located in a great spot on the east bank not far art galleries, other little bars and OMSI. So it's well-located for further adventure east of MLK if you want to Uber or Lyft.
The bar snacks need help and the Portland-hipster-chic attitude gets old but it's a must for out-of-towners.
Well known for their amazing sandos, their bar program is fun and unpretentious. Counter sevice only.
Casual, open feel, comfortable booths, friendly staff. Chicken salad sandwich pretty yummy!
Great sandwiches, cold beer, and fast wifi! Service is fast at the bar with no wait. Order whatever is on the specials board, mole tots and cold domestic - you won't be disappointed.
Good food. Decent prices. Friendly and attentive staff.
One of the best places to grab a sandwich and a beer in the mid to late afternoon. Lots of live shows and louder music at night. Definitely a must if you're visiting Portland and want to try some of our finest sandwiches.
There are two sandwich kings in town - Lardo and Bunk. Get the Meatball Parmigiano Hero.
Great sandwiches, nice casual atmosphere, awesome drinks
Good beer selection and great service. They have limited street patio seating.
Nice intimate venue space with spectacular vegan sandwiches.
One of the greatest grilled cheese sandwiches in town + an extremely well-curated live music program = happy me.
Good overall, but... it seems the fried chicken sandwich used to be an actual fried chicken breast. This time, it was a processed chicken patty (either that or the most square chicken breast ever). Also, the roasted brussel sprouts came out still frozen. Staff were great at replacing them, however.
Won t let one odd experience stop us from coming back. Next time I ll stick with the Cubano.
Not bad at all for a quick lunch , had pork belly sandwich I think it was called . Was 11.50 I think , was a month ago so not positive, but close. I'd recommend if in the area , good customer service which can be more rare and n PDX than 20 years ago.
The servers are so kind. The food is so tasty. The space is well lay out.
