Had a great time at BSR Cable Park, Chilled in the lazy river for a few hours, met some really great people, the staff was extremely helpful and helped point us in the right direction when it came to parking, or directions to specific place in general. Checking in was smooth and easy, fun and professional and welcoming! Short and sweet but helpful they did their best to keep the line moving and avoiding a stand still line. They do stop you before going into river and pool area to check coolers for glass, which they made easy. Overall we had a blast will definitely be planning another trip from Dallas there again!

The lazy river is pretty calm and relaxing but has some small issues. There's spiders all along the river, and it's pretty narrow. The shoot is really fun unless you land wrong. No one even bothered to serve us at the bar & grill after waiting for awhile so we just left.
10/10 recommend. I had a blast! Family friendly, fair prices and clean facility. You can bring your own coolers, alcohol, drink and grill. There are food trucks on ground and the bar/grill as well. 4 activities (lazy river, slides, surfing and wakeboard) you can partake in and well worth the price.
Had a blast in the wave pool while my kids went off on the water slides. Such an incredible treat to be able to surf a good man-made wave and good family fun for all. Novelty surf session for sure, but would love to go back, as the wave has plenty of speed and power. I feel confident they will get the water quality issue figured out.
I loved my time there! Prices are great make sure to bring your own food and refreshments!...and lots of them. We all will return with more people to the party!
Lazy River: Pros and Cons sprinkled throughout: My sisters-in-law and I tried this place for our annual Sisters Day Out. We went on a Saturday (in spite of reviews that suggest going on a weekday to avoid crowds) because that was the only day that worked with our schedules. July 14th turned out to be the busiest day yet for the park this summer, according to some employees. We arrived at 1:30 p.m., and maybe we should have tried to get there earlier. The admission line outside the Pro Shop was long and slow, even though it does split into 3 lines once you get inside. We d already filled out our waivers online, which supposedly makes it faster to get in, but we still had to wait in line to pay and get our hands stamped. Lines are to be expected at any place like this though, so we waited as patiently as we could, while sweating in the hot sun. (It s a good idea to already be wearing sunscreen when you first get there; we were getting sunburned in line.) After we paid and entered the park, we found a spot in the dirt under a tree to leave our stuff; there are no lockers. Everybody s stuff was everywhere on the ground, and towels were hung up in trees. You won t want to bring valuables. Then we stood in the Lazy River s line, which didn t need to be as long and slow as it was for 3 reasons: (1) All the pre-inflated tubes were already in use, and a ton of flat tubes were lying on the ground waiting to be inflated. An employee told us that the flat tubes hadn t been used this summer yet because they hadn t all been needed until this particular crazy-busy day. It would have helped if all the tubes had been inflated ahead of time. A couple of teenage employees were at the front of the line inflating each flat tube brought to them, but... (2) they were hot and tired, complaining and distracted, working very slowly and talking to each other rather than focusing on their work. (3) Also, some people, who had started off using tubes in the Lazy River and then decided to abandon the tubes partway through and walk the rest of the way, left their tubes on the sides of the river instead of pulling them along and returning them at the end. So there were many available already-inflated tubes along the river that could have been used to speed up the line. Anyway, the Lazy River itself was very clogged with most people in tubes and some people just walking (the water is about 3 feet deep or so). In hindsight, we think that instead of sweating so much in line, maybe it would have been better to just get in the river without tubes and wade until finding discarded tubes along the river banks. But we finally made it with our newly inflated tubes into the water. The tubes were VERY NICE, with pillow headrests and cupholders. We also rented a tube for our cooler with its sodas and snacks. We held onto each other s tube handles to stay together and keep the cooler with us. I recommend bringing a rope to string through the handles. The river water is dyed an unnatural blue that you can t see through at all. I m not sure why, unless it s a chemical to keep the water clean, or maybe it s just a dye meant to hide the fact that the water is murky? It s supposed to be river water anyway, not clear and chlorinated like a swimming pool or a ride at a water park, but the unnatural blue color was unexpected. Anyway, despite being crowded, it really was enjoyable to slowly drift around and talk and tan. Some people brought waterproof radios, and we enjoyed their music... also, the river has radios installed along shore playing music. But here is my biggest complaint: smoking is allowed and so many people were smoking that the river air was clouded with it. It was hard to breathe sometimes. Also, many people were very drunk and loud. I recommend going on a weekday, or not at all. We still had a good time, but will only go back on weekdays.
I was very disappointed with the park. First and foremost the cabin was below standard, there were not enough pillows or blankets for the persons sleeping in the living area. There were no PULL OUT sofas. They were very uncomfortable. There was a broken towel rack with a nail sticking out. The bathroom door knob was broken. The refrigerator was too small. For the money that was spent for the cabin for two days. Complete waste of money.
Terrible. Muddy water with people pissing in it. The attendants to the slides don't know left from right. It has taken me a very long time to review this place. My husband went down the big slide face first and busted his face all up needed stitches thank God he is a man because if it had been me I would of wanted a plastic surgeon to fix that. We had to leave and go to local ER. They have no help worth a hoot at BSR. He had to have teatnus shot and very strong antibiotics due to the nasty water. We we're the 3rd victim of the day.
WORST place EVER. They took $50 non refundable upon entering. I now know why. 2 Hours in line in hot sun waiting to get inside for tickets. 1 hour waiting for filthy tubes to be aired up. 1 lazy river ride in a filthy stinky river so full of people you could barely float. And just so disgusted finally decided to just chalk it up as very expensive lesson learned and drive back to fort worth with 3 sad tired grandchildren. I'm a grandma on a very limited income $150 is a lot for me. If theyvwould have refunded my $50 I could've taken my grandchildren to a more suitable place. I brought my mom who has Alzheimer's she had to wait inside with the children taking turns sitting with her for the whole 2 hours. Then tried to find shade while tubes were aired up. 1 person filling everyones tubes by the way. The 3 young men behind us in line were cussing and talikng extremely vulgar. I had to ask them to stop.I was concerned with all the open drinking. Grandchildren quickly explained to their parents when we got back home about seeing several people smoking from a giant Hookah. Parents wondering why I didn't just get kids and leave at this point. Me too by the way. It was my granddaughters birthday wish to go here and she asked me to wait out the lines. But after one float in the river she was ready to go. None of us wanted to get our face in the water. This is more an atmosphere for college party. Not family oriented. Not for people who shouldn't stand in the hot sun for hours. Everyone was furious about the lines. 4 people were taking money for what looked like about 1000 people. I have pics of the line but dont want to share other people publicly without their consent. sewage on the ground. Parking blocks away from tickets, etc. With gas, foid, and tickets $200 for 3 hours sranding in hot sun and 1 filthy disgusting river ride. I wouldve been dusappointed to leave but wouldnt have felt so cheated and deceived if they would've just gave me my $50 back and let me leave. But once I spent $50 non refundable just to enter the gate I didnt have enough to go to another more appropriate water park with the children. Surely they made enough money to b able to refund people who realized they made a mistake and wanted to leave? Why trick people like that?
The price is outrageous!!! 2 people and 2 kids cost me $140... for one slide and a boring lazy river. Never going back at those prices, it was completely ridiculous
Oh my gosh the slides are AMAZING!!! So much fun! Can t wait to come back! The lazy river is so slow so make sure to get a cooler tube so you can bring food and drinks with you. I love this place so much!
Brought our 13 and 17 year old. Both had so much fun and are already asking to go back. The wife and friends enjoyed relaxing in the lazy river while the kids bombed down the slides and wakeboarded all day. Great park and staff.
Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. They took the time to train my 8 and 12 year old boys how to wake board with no extra fee. Other activities were fun too. Great value
Awesome place to go wakeboarding! I've been going here for years and love the place! Always has a good vibe and a decent crowd! The kickers here are my favorite of all the Texas parks and their other features are a ton of fun too!
Over priced $35 for just slides and a River Very small area. Staff at the beginning was great, but we had staff search our stuff twice in the park saying oh we had a suspicion and we had nothing (our group was Hispanic). We came back from the lazy river to see staff searching our cooler once again AND WE BARELY HAD GOT THERE!!! There s people smoking and drinking, not a good place for kids as well. Not coming back it s not worth it !
Someone died at the park and then they lied about the CDC report and water quality. I would never go here or let anyone I care about set foot near this park.
I've been to several cable parks in Texas and this is my favorite. BSR has 6 towers where as most cable parks I have ridden in Texas have 5. The rails are also in super condition and are changed out often. The staff is friendly and is quick to help new riders out. My wife got up on her first day out.
The cable pulls clockwise which makes it easy for regular riders such as my self to get up. The pro-shop is also Waco's best source for Wakeboarding gear. Any time I find my self in Waco I now make sure to have my board with me. BSR is an amazing place to ride and hang out in Waco.
Poor customer service my group of friends and I came down, payed $30 for the lazy river and slide combo then payed an extra $20 for the wave pool area, you can not go into the wave area and the 10feet of water you have access to, is stagnant and is full of sharp rocks and trash, foot got caught on bundles of hair several times. The young girl behind the counter never mentioned that you can not go into the wave area but insists she did when you call her out on it. This place is not worth a long drive especially for the price. Hawaiian Falls is 10 minutes down the road and is cheaper with a LOT more to do. Would like to add now that the stagnant wave pool water got someone killed. Just another reason NOT to go!
We were excited after winning 4 free passes here. Upon arrival my husband was asked if he wanted to do the wakeboard. In which he did. I understand why they have you sign a waver. After attempting to be trained by a younger wakeboarder instructer he got injured and was transported off location. While waiting we were informed we would get a refund since my husband never made it to the actual wakeboarding course. Unfortantly we never got it back. My concerns is there is no one on site with medical training or supplies in case of emergencies like we had and the fact you have to pay before you wakeboard and there is no refund even if you never makes it to the actual wakeboarding.
BSR is great! I live out of state and haven't been there for some time but it was such a memorable experience. Only thing for me is that the cable spins clockwise which makes it a lot harder for beginners who are goofy to get off the dock but all in all, I cannot wait to go back! Especially since they have made such massive aesthetic improvements in the last year.
I came to BSR for a bachelorette trip with about 12 girls and we had an absolute BLAST! From the lazy river to the slides to the cable park to the restaurant and bar, it was all great! We can't wait to come back again this summer!
BSR Cable Park is a must! Family friendly, with tons of fun! Fun for every family member no matter the age, adult or adolescent!! Longest lazy River in the world!!! Take almost a whole hour to float the whole thing while enjoying the beautiful scenery surrounding the park. Truly a life changing experience that I believe everyone must have at least once!!!
Husband took our 15 and 4 year olds too the park. We're from Wisconsin they had a blast. From the slides to the lazy river. Took a cooler and had a pinic. Went on a Thursday hardly any one there. Chris was a great employee, to them.
This place place is my Disney World for extreme sports great staff and family atmosphere couldnt ask for more. am looking foward to checking out that new addition, seen videos of the surf ranch and it looks amazing.
Had a really good time but place is beyond over priced. Just for 2 people it was $73, no one checked ANYONES stamps & for a cooler float it was $10 extra although people were using cooler floats who did not have a cooler. To be paying so much I expected there to be more bathrooms... & decently clean bathrooms at that.
Had my bachelor party @ BSR, couldn t ask for anything more! They even started the cable park for us to ride under fireworks. Solid crew runs this place. Can t wait to go back!
This place is awesome went there for the first time on April 15 2017 with a couple of buddy's the day after I turned 19. Will definitely b going back tomorrow. But my advice to ALL the slide riders is to lift up ur head and chest when u fly off the slide cause if u don't u may b in a bit of pain
Pretty fun & simple. Huge lazy river, gigantic slides, awesome DJ style music, hot tube, figure 8 ski & wakeboarding lake. Food service is kinda pricey & really slow. wave pool under construction as of last summer.
Definitely not at 50% capacity! Entire parking lot was jammed packed, people crammed together in the pools and water.
Spent 15-20 minutes in line each time for the WakeBoarding, people cutting in line and the employees don't care or say anything. The cables got jammed up several times, causing them to shutdown, adding to the long wait times.
Slide was just OK..
Lazy river was nice but way to crowded! Kids out of their tubes, throwing balls around and moving upstream splashing and running into people.
This place could be fun if the employees actually paid attention, and if the rules actually enforced. Seemed no one really cared.
Before you come here or decide to bring your children, look at all the law suits Stewart Parsons (the owner) has had with this park. People have died here from their lack of caring for their park or just because they re careless. Don t give them another dime.
Went to the surf area and really had a great time. Did a session on the intermediate wave and really liked it. More like an ocean wave than a wake wave. I ll be back this spring.
Had a complete blast last time we were here which was just a few weeks ago! I Wish they advertised somewhere that you can bring coolers and a mini grill. We didn't find that out until we were already there. Also, the service for cell phones kinda sucks bc you're in the middle of nowhere. We asked a staff member if there was WIFI in the bar area and they were rude with their response as if we were dumb for asking, but we needed to find out where our friends were. We found them regardless BUT were headed back up again as we speak! Got a group of friends and looking forward to getting some more gopro videos!!! Fun experience if you are looking to switch it up!
After that kid drowned a few years ago, then the beating of a visitor by the owners goons who also worked the front desk, and the false statement released about the brain eating ameoba .
This place is amazing! Dog friendly too in certain areas. Very relaxing place, they even have a small wading pool area for the kiddos. Even though the majority of people are drinking there, it's very family friendly! I definitely recommend, I can't wait for the new part to be finished!!
This wave is awesome and super fun to surf. The take-off is slightly tricky because it's all about positioning yourself in the right place, but the wave itself is like a really clean point break where you can do three or four good turns and practice different maneuvers over and over. Definitely worth it.
I had a great time at BSR when I went with some friends for the lazy river! I admittedly got too drunk and a certain employee named Heather really saved me! She helped me find out where I was and to find my friends even though I was acting like a drunken jerk! Thank you Heather and all the employees who were so kind and helpful ill definitely be coming back!
The slides were fun and we enjoyed the lazy river but you sign a waiver for reason.
My little brother had a swollen and painful calf muscle for 3 days, my older brother was covered in bruises from hitting the water wrong and my friend chipped his front tooth because the attendants were more interested in jumping in the pool while it was empty than telling the new people how to hold themselves going down. There are small pictures at the top of the slides but they won't tell you about the whiplash of going head or feet first.
We all felt like we had been hit by a train the next day but I was worst off.
This is a great place to have some fun... if you're young. We just floated in the lazy river which is very relaxing. The cable park and the slide would have kept me there for a week if it was 30 or 40 years ago.
these ratings are suspicious as HECK! If you are even thinking about going here or a place like this look at the one-star and bad reviews. So many NEW reviews when the place is CLOSED pending test results from CDC. DO NOT TRUST GOOD REVIEWS HERE!
One of the best wakeboarding parks in the USA, if not the world. Right here in Waco. Very friendly staff, and the people there wakeboarding were extremely helpful in getting me up on the second try. Nice hill on one side of the park (makes it feel like you're anywhere but Texas), lodges you can rent, a restaurant, hot tub, and lots of trees. Hint for newbies: On launch, keep crouched low and your weight on your back foot. For your arms, keep them flexed about halfway from your body. Hold on, as it's a catapult launch!
This place is awesome! Hats off to the owners. The only drawback is the vaping, cigar smoking, cigarette smoking & especially the marijuana smoking. Literally smoking dope in front of little kids & next to other families trying to enjoy the park. They need to implement a 100% ban on all smoking/vaping. We moved three times to try & get away from it. If it wasn't for that, 5-star for sure. Top end park & always adding to the experience.
Had a nice enough time the only real complaint is check in took over an hour and we got there 15min before they even opened waited in long line do to no real organization and people just cutting in line once they got inside. Also they should have a cap on how many people they let in the lazy river at once, it was back to back bumper to bumper tubes the whole way around wasn't enjoyable at all. The best thing was the live music playing by the slides. Wouldn't go here again it was fun to do one trip but not somewhere id drive an hour half for again.
me and my family had a blast until the end of the fireworks on the 4th of july ,where a man died at the beach, and the lifeguards did not know how to do cpr.
Awesome! Took 12 and 16 yo grandsons. They loved it, open to close. The whole staff was great, especially Zane, their wake board instructor. As far as the complaints on here go, ignore. If you want perfection there are plenty of water parks around. If you want something really different that they'll find exciting, this is it!
BSR Was incredible! From the staff, and cabin, to the Royal Flush slide and huge lazy river. We booked this 4 months in advance with our kickball team in Fort Worth and had never been to BSR. We were greeted by Tiffany at the front who I spoke to in advance and happily answered all of my questions. The cabin was perfectly set up and has enough space for all 14 of us! We got to see Lemurs and cable riders and enjoyed the massive hot tub! We also got to go watch a night surf session, which one of the staff allowed us to do as long as we watched and behaved.( we are a touch rowdy) I don't think we had one bad thing to say about our entire visit. We will be back next year if not sooner and can't wait. Thank you BSR Cable park and staff for everything we had the best time.
Awesome awesome awesome, on the last night we met one of the managers and he made our last night a night to remember! Cabins are super neat and clean and being able to relax outside the cabin while seeing people try the cable park was cool.
The only thing I hate about BSR is that it s not closer to home. If it was, I would pretty much live there. Maybe someday they will open up a branch in Lincoln, Nebraska!
This was the worse experience at a water park, if you have little kids not a good place. I called a few days ahead and was told my 6 year old would not be charged but when we got there I was charged $20. There is no place to just swim and the lazy river is a joke, you have to stay in tubes ,so no cooling off (the water was gross and only 3ft so I'm not sure why we had to stay in the tubes). There were flies ever where ( I know it's outside but that was outrageous ), I would have rather payed 8 more dollars to go to Hawaiian Falls!
Not worth the money for a family or kids below College level. This park has almost no phone skills when it came to answering. I called about 12xs, Stayed in the phone system loop and eventually got frustrated and hung up. When I arrived at the park my family paid for 4 combo passes for the lazy river and the slides. This in my opinion was WAAAAYYY over priced after I got to experience what they had to offer. The lazy river was just that.. Not that I can complain about it, But it moved slow and had no entertainment value for younger children. The Slides were fun for a short period of time, but not worth the amount we paid. My family did notice a wave pool area that was in use but we were told we could not enter the pool with out paying an addional 20$ per person, But that the pool was also not for swimming, But just for surfing. So there again another feature that is not added into the cost leaving my family wanting more to do. Those reasons are enough to keep me from referring any of my friends to ever attending BSR as a family function. I can only see BSR as a place that college aged Drinking kids would have fun. The biggest concern I had if these was not bad enough was the conditions of the restrooms in the main building. As a male, I have seen and experienced some deplorable stall, commode and floor conditions in my time from various gas stations and truck stops, But this place took the Prize. I told my wife I wanted to see who on the staff won the "Not My Job Award" and it is obviously Nobodies job to clean, stock and sanitize the mens room. I was curious about the condition of the ladies room, and she equally told me they were not in a good state. I understand that public restrooms can see some of the most evil of scenes there are to offer. But from what I witnesses, this was not done by the last user or 2. this buildup had taken a few days. I would have appreciated and hope they will consider making a changing room or locker area in the future with their ongoing expansion projects, so customers don't have to stand in a corner of a stall to change there swimwear. PS... If your employees will not clean a restroom as part of their job, Then please hire a cleaning staff that will... Save your money and visit Schlitterbahn water parks instead for the value, You can take you coolers in there as well.
I am planning a visit out to BSR cable park for my birthday on May 26th with a group of friends but I have not been able to get in contact with anyone when I call the member provided. It's very unprofessional to hear a dial tone when I've called multiple times. I don't think this will be the place for me this weekend
Horrible customer service! This place will take your money and lie. We asked to speak to management but they too are not worried about their customers. False advertising. I also tried calling over and over but could not reach anyone to answer our questions. Do NOT give this place your money. I tried to post if their Facebook and they deleted my complaints.
BSR has the opportunity to be great, yet the management and staff seem to put in minuscule effort in terms of the cable park. All features are poorly maintained, not to mention the fact that this park has not moved features or added features in multiple years. Numerous individuals have ruined their wakeboards here due to negligence by the staff when each feature and its screws are not examined. My most recent visit consisted of the cable stopping and dropping me in the water multiple times making my 4 hour pass translate to about 2 hours of riding. If the resources put into the slides and resort aspect of bsr were equally allocated to the cable park I believe they would receive almost no negative review because of the amazing atmosphere bsr is capable of.
Great fun from the age kids start to get bored at the pool. You wear a life jacket, (they have plenty in all sizes )which takes the sting out if you hit the water flat. It's not like that belly flop you did off the high dive. The angle of the slide throws you off perfect, you don't "have" to do anything but fly.
I had a ton of fun here! I like the fact you can bring in your own grill, food, and alcohol. There are no rules about where you can eat or drink. They even offer special tubes to hold coolers and other bags of food so you can eat and drink while floating the lazy river.
However, the slides really are ride at your own risk. Several people I saw got gnarly bruises from where they hit the water. One member of our party dislocated his knee from how he landed on the water coming off the slide. The park had no EMT or anyone with medical training on site. The water is so muddy with the sand at the bottom you can't see the stairs in the lazy river at all. Make sure you feel for the stairs very slowly before each step or you'll fall. The dyed blue water is also pretty off-putting. With the lack of safety features, I would hesitate to take children here.
Great fun place that s hand s off on what you can do. Lazy river is great. Yes it s very crowded but that s part of the fun. Only negative is it s a little expensive.
So it's a small independent water park outside of Waco, TX. You essentially pay for a slide and a lazy River at the cost of 35$.(additional wake park and surf park for extra $$$ lol) There are fire ants everywhere, the bathrooms are all porta potties, and it's an incredibly small venue with limited parking. Save yourself the drive and go to a beach or water park, this isn't worth your time, money, or fire ant bites.
Very cool one-of-a-kind spot to kick back and relax. The state-of-the-art wave pool is an amazing piece of engineering. The wave pools beach-side is great to watch surfers. I ve been to BSR several times and the 1/4 mile wakeboard oval is a rewarding challenge to master. All the attractions here are great and this is defiantly a place to keep coming to for years to come!
My wife and I were here on a weekday almost alone, riding a roller coaster, sunbathing on an inflatable flamingo, beat off priests and heads, but were extremely pleased! :), a great place for outdoor activities!
