I am a Texas A&M alumni, I have a well respected job, I pay my taxes and I know where my money goes. I was insulted and disrespected. My experience here was unpleasant and greatly distasteful. I bought a 2010 Equinox LT and it wasn't what i expected. It was more! The salesman helped gave me a good deal on my trade (i had done a lot of research to see what it was worth). And he set me up on my bluetooth and showed me all the stuff on the vehicle. It has a remote start that turns the air on when it's hot or the heat on when it's cold. I dig that feature! And i had no surprises in the finance office. Jerry made sure I was happy and didn't pressure me when i got a little flaky.

I first scheduled an appointment at 7 in the morning, but when I showed up they told me that the engineers did not arrive until 8 AM, therefore they could not work in my car at that time; what is the point of offering appointments at 7 AM if there is no one to work on the cars? Then I rescheduled another appointment at 11, and when I showed up they told me that my appointment had been scheduled at 10, and since everyone goes out for lunch at 12 they could only do the oil change/tire rotation but could not take care of the recall on my car (unless I waited there for them to finish their lunch and take care of it). Also, I found an offer for a full synthetic oil change online in the actual chevrolet webpage, but the people at the front counter did not know about it and told me I must be mistaken... until I showed them the actual chevrolet webpage. Other than that, the service was decent, price was great, but I don't know if I ended up getting full synthetic oil or a blend (because the guy at the front counter told me the offer was for a synthetic blend that had been renamed full synthetic).

DO NOT take your vehicle here to have an oil change. I took my car here at the beginning of 2015 to have an oil change, went back a few months later to have another oil change and they told me my brake fluids had been contaminated. They were the ONLY people to touch my brake fluids, or any fluids in fact, since my brake fluids were "good". I am a young college female and I feel as though I have been taken advantage of. They first wanted to aim blame at another dealership that I had my battery replaced, which that means they would have not touched my brake fluids and even the multi point proved that. Then when the blame started to point to them, all of the sudden my multi point inspection from the beginning of 2015 was nowhere to be found. I told them they were the only one to touch my fluids and the service manager Louis said that, "Well none of my guys owned up to it." REALLY? What terrible customer service. The only man at that service department that was worth talking to was John, he tried to help, but I will NEVER ever bring my car here again or tell anyone else to either.

They also honored all the rebates and factory incentives I printed from the web, bringing the price of my new Silverado down from 31k, to 21k. The finance manager also took the time with me to show me how to build my credit so I could refinance at a lower interest rate. I did what he said, and it worked! I have to say reading all of the negative reviews took me by surprise, as I have had nothing but good experiences with them. I take my truck in for service and they have me out of there and back on the road in an hour. Guess I just got lucky with them. IDK.

The sales representative, Christopher Lewis Terrell, made sure that we were comfortable during the whole car shopping experience, that I had imagined would be a tedious task. We were greeted as soon as we set foot on the premises. Also, Clint Bernard made sure that I knew everything that I was committing my self to, which I enjoyed. Over all the staff was very friendly, patient, and helpful. As of now, they have made sure to keep in touch to make sure everything is running smoothly in regards to the car and also our decision of purchasing the car. As far as assistance at the dealership goes, it is pretty good. Nice salesmen and overall a good car buying experience. BUT and I cannot stress this enough, if you purchase a used car there MAKE SURE TO TAKE IT TO A MECHANIC FIRST TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT! I have not even received the plates for my truck yet and it has been in the shop twice. It has been there more than my time actually driving it. First round of repairs costing $700.00 then this next series of repairs are estimated at $3250.00. This is the reason I will be contacting the finance company to start the process of a voluntary repossession. While it pains me to take a hit like that on my credit, the combination of car payment, mixed with the amount of repairs I am already paying on and the insurance, it was a gamble that did not work out. If they can work out their inspection of used cars they receive so this does not happen to anyone else I will increase my rating, but until then, I will only give 2 stars. Additionally, all the issues found on the truck should have been easily noticeable for their inspection department.

Went in to get my Oil changed and A/C serviced. First day I went they told me they could do the oil change but the A/C would take half a day to service and they assured me it would be free thanks to my warranty. I told them I would come back next week when I could get the day off from work. Came the following week and left them my car. Shuttle service to and from home was nice and convenient. Upon returning at 2 pm they told me they DID NOT service my A/C because unknowingly they did not have a part they needed, which they had to order. So basically they took half a day to change my oil. They told me to come back in 5 days, when they would have the part, to get my A/C serviced. Again, I asked for the day off from work to get my A/C serviced and dropped off my car and picked it up again at 2 pm. This time, once I entered my car and drove off the lot I noticed my alarm was acting funny and the glove compartment drawer was tampered with, leaving the drawer completely unhinged and unconnected (not how it was before I gave it to them). Went home and long story short the alarm was completely messed up (also not how it was before I gave it to them). I called them back and they asked me to come on by to take a look at it.
I brought it in and they told me there was nothing they can do because they do not install alarm systems and the mechanic "swears it was acting weird after I gave them my car to get the A/C fixed". False. After arguing with the guy for a bit all he ended up doing was forwarding me to a local store in Bryan that would uninstall my alarm for $60. I called Tom Light Chevy and attempted to talk to a customer service rep to complain about their service and messing up my car alarm. I spent 45 minutes arguing with this guy. He constantly reminded me how it was my fault, not theirs, and how they are not liable for any after market car alarm systems and that there is no way they could have tampered with it and that most likely what happened was that I brought it in messed up and they only exposed it. Their customer service rep was even more rude and condescending than the service department employee that denied messing up my alarm in the first place.
Since my alarm got messed up my car has completely shut off twice while driving on the highway and another time while driving in my neighborhood and hitting a speed bump. I had to get my car towed to a place that could look at my alarm and they assured me that someone did tamper with the wires and circuit board causing my car to shut off if a wire connected to the alarm would even be slightly moved. Thanks Tom Light Chevy. Never going to you guys for ANYTHING.

Oh goodness! Where do I even begin? Should I start with the fact that I was sold a car with no spare tire? Or that I was lied to about my interest rate? Or should I say how when I tried to get my key fob fixed they couldn't help me? What about when the service dept called me and said that I needed to bring my car in to get the recalled parts replaced? Then when I took it in at 830am last Saturday 07/15 they made me leave it there until 1230pm just to tell me that they didn't even have the parts ordered! When I asked at 12pm that day if it was almost finished, Karen told me it would be 1pm before it was finished. Then I asked if I could just take it she said not yet because it was being worked on. I asked if they had even started on it and she went to "check" and said yes. So I left. Immediately after leaving I got a call from her saying they had not even started working on it because they didn't have the parts! My whole morning WASTED because of Tom Light. When I talked to a "manager" they rushed me out of the lobby because they didn't want the current customers hearing me tell them how rude it was that they did that to me! Karen was apologetic but still lied to me. To be fair, she was the only one there that day which goes to show how they even treat their employees! Never again will Tom Light Chevrolet get my money! Never again.
After posting this review, "Bubba Dickson" from Tom Light blocked me from making future comments on my OWN FB review which does not surprise me. It's the Tom Light way to be shady. They don't want the public knowing how they really are. I think before anyone makes a purchase from this dealership they should inform themselves about how they function.

Found a slightly used hard to find truck there( 7hrs away) in the color I wanted. Communicated back and forth with Matthew a few days via email and he got the price where I wanted to be. Then the sales person Chris did a facetime to show me everything I wanted to see on the truck. I set up driving there the next day. He called me just prior to my scheduled arrival and had the truck cleaned and staged perfect. Handed me the keys and I went for a drive. When I got back, paperwork was ready to go. Maybe it was because I am a woman and they thought they could rip me off but worst experience ever at a dealership. It was my first time visiting this dealership and I was told one thing on the phone and as soon as I arrived, was told something different. Also, they tried to upsell me on a "fuel flush" for $135 because "it's required at the current mileage". Current mileage is 6,000 miles. I am going to contact GM to see if their fuel flush is actually "required maintenance" as they stated. Never going back.
Edit. Contacted GM and they confirmed the fuel flush was not required or even recommended and the two service bulletins which the dealership said were not valid for my vehicle, are in fact valid and were easily access by the GM representative. So 2 hours of time wasted but at least I didn't waste any money. For those of you who are having problems, definitely leave a Google review to help others but to help yourselves, contact GM directly through their website. They have a chat function that is simple and effective.

A good team of parts people that can help you with all of your parts needs. Body shop is excellent fast service they get you in and out. Service department is the same way very good technictions. This is a busy place so you may have to wait a little to get your service done. It's wise to call and make an appointment before you go.
