Rude, obnoxious condescending doctors. Reception staff are rude, unhappy people. Only go if really desperate.

I did not think there could be doctors Disrespectful, contemptuous and having no worries about people's health. Well, I met one this morning at this clinic. To say that I had smiled when the patient just before me had gone out shouting nonsense to this same doctor. I should have done the same thing. In short, a place to avoid!
It s an awful place. They never answer the phone. I have been waiting for a doctor s appointment for 5 months. No one takes responsibility. I ended up going to walk-in clinic but that was full as well. Does not recommend it.
My doctor Dr Krackovitch can never be gotten ahold of. I'm pregnant and have been bleeding for 3 days and I tried calling. No response. Went to the hospital, the lakeshore only to be refused because it was not serious enough because blood wasn't gushing out of me.
Many people goes there so when you go for walk-in clinic its painfull like any others. They have their standards meaning: the patient must be present with is medic card to be able to join the waiting list and so on.
Doctors are great and listens to you. X-ray is a really low waiting time. If you have insurance you have access to certain services for quick results.
Physio is really bad, deals with multiple patient at a time...
In the end, get there early if you want to leave early, usually walk_in opens their doors up to 45 min before time. but there is also at least 45 min of people already there waiting in line outside.
Uh ... how to say ... they don't answer when we call. Quite simply. Cardiology here.
They put us on hold for 10 minutes then hop, they warn you to report 911 or go to the emergency room. And not just once, over and over. Yeah well if it's to move an appointment, or specify the nature of it? !! What do I do? Oh and then also, they don't put the results of a past test on my government health check. Even my family doc was surprised. In short, a service of m $ @ # of.
Psychotherapists are extremely nice and served wonderful
Been there twice for mental health issues (Walk-in clinic) since I've been waiting for 3 years for a family doctor. Both times, I wasn't taken seriously. The doctor clearly didn't care when I told him I couldn't keep living like that. He sent me home with nothing, only a couple tests that he wanted me to pay for at CDL. Is this a business or a healthcare center? Don't waste your time, pay to go see a doctor thats what ill do next time...
We had an appointment , and we were not able to be in Montreal for that date. So we called many times for three consecutive days in advance to cancel it, no answer , and no Answering machine, after many rings, and redirection, it went finally to a message " Merci d'avoir appeler , au revoir ". and the line cut off after this message.
We explained that to the manager, she refused to understand. And she said that they have an answering machine , and it works.
They forced us to pay 60$ to take another appointment with our doctor .
it's not about money , but it's like if they said : " You are lying , you didn't leave a voice mail , and our voice mail system allows you to leave a message" .
I suggest to anyone who needs to cancel the appointment by phone , and he get no answer , and no answering machine, to film himself with a videocamera , calling the center on speaker , to have an evidence , else they will say : You are a liar.
I have had the misfortune to be sent to a doctor at the Brundswick Clinic where call-back service with results is NON-EXISTANT.
The worst place I have ever been. Dealt with a Dr. Vasilie who lies about calling back, who is rude and condescending, and does not think it is worthwhile to say "hello" or "good bye" to a patient on whom she has just operated. The secretarial service is lousy. I changed clinics and went to the Sunnybrook Clinic. What a difference!
They always want money and cheat on that. Sometime they said the test is free but they would charge you a big money when you arrived there. And they only mention that they will charge the cancel money in two days before. Do not be there if you have another choice!
Over all great place to get everything done, waiting time is bit longer, no other complain. Clean space with lots of options for tests and facilities.
Great place lots of medical services including blood tests.
My 5 year old was diagnosed with pneumonia by one of the Dr's at the walk in clinic. I thought I had a good experience there until today. My son's pediatrician requested a copy of the xray and turned out he didn't even have pneumonia. You would think that they would call me the next day when the radiologist completed the report to tell me. Instead I gave my son 2 pumps and antibiotics for 10 days when it wasn't needed. Terrible.
My last prenatal visit was October 4th 2016, Dr daniel Saxon secretary was to call me to schedule my next appointment. I waited until yesterday November 3rd to call. I was NEVER informed that Dr Saxon no longer works at brunswick medical center.
Secretary was rude when I asked how come I never recived any information.
I got this new number and no answer and voicemail full...
I don't know what to do I'm 21 weeks pregnant do I have to look for a doctor. I don't want this stress
I've been Waiting for 5 hrs and still wait to see dr now. Came at 7:35 in the morning. Exhausted.
Appointment made on the Tap Medical site, only 24 hours in advance. Excellent service from Dr Zhang who took his time to take all the necessary details.
Only downside: appointment at 1:20 p.m. and consultation call at 3:50 p.m. Not a big deal, however, as it's a phone call. Thank you!
A very bad service and organized appointments. Management should change the name of walk-in for (can be an appointment)
the receptionist here was rude from the minute she looked at us....i asked if she liked her job a d she answered "no, i don't"....patients with appointments for ultrasounds had to wait for over 2 hours past their appointments to be seen... i have been to 2 other centers downtow and while there were a lot of people it was never like this...
WORST PLACE EVER. the Doctor did not call me back and it turned out my blood test had flags. Would not recommend at all.
When I called to find out if they were still accepting patients the receptionist told us yes. and when I inquired about the wait time she said 3 hours! When my wife and I went in, the clinic was empty... it seems like the receptionist was avoiding patients to come in and lied to us. My wife simply asked her this time how long for the wait time, the receptionist disrespectfully and rudely answered back with the most condescending tone and said that "your going to have to wait, everyone waits!" She went on a mini tantrum and outburst without reason! Worst clinic ever in Quebec.
I was given an appointment to see a specialist i got there by the way with infected c-section just to make the appointment. To be told by the receptionist, "i dont know why i gave you an appointment today the dr doesnt work on tuesdays sorry for my mistake heres another appointment!"
The people who call you to get your information are super nice and always sweet, but the doctors themselves are super rude. Second time on a phone call with a doctor from the walk in clinic and they both have been rude and given me attitude. I try my best to not give attitude back, but it s pretty hard when you have a doctor being very uncaring when trying to explain your situation.
After several bad experiences i stopped going to this clinic. Today i had to go see a doctor and since this was the closest to me from work, tried my luck. While i was walking in, the receptionist who does not seem too happy to see me, told me right away that WE DO NOT HAVE ANY MORE SLOTS TODAY. Seriously, at 1:30pm. You do not have any slot for me. Wow. She did not even bother looking at me and apologizing, no eagerness to show help. Given that your building is being renovated and improved, i thought that the service changed at least. I was wrong. I could only imagine what and how rudely they would treat my folks and other elderly when they walk in hoping for a check up, who lives far and travels by public transportation. I cant say much about the doctors and nurses here but the customer service is definitely AWFUL.
DO NOT BRING A CHILD!!!!
ESPECIALLY FOR EMERGENCY!!!
GO TO STATCARE.
They are pretty good, but need to live in the 21st century. No wat to transmid documents to the doctor besides FAX, yes you read correctly. FAX. OK Doc, let me go to a museum and have this sent over. Give us ability to email documents and i will give 5 stars.
Changing to 1 star. I came with a 5 year old with a painful ear infection. They don't put kids and babies in priority. How ridiculous, as if my 5 year old could wait patiently for 4-5 hours in a waiting room with his ear hurting. Please take a good look at your priorities. Children and adults do not have the same tolerance. I can't believe I'm the one who has to tell you this. Very disappointed.
From my own experiences with family medicine, the anxiety and depression center and dermatology the staff have always been professional, understanding and friendly. The only downside is that finding parking can sometimes be difficult.
Came here on a Wednesday morning, and the receptionist during that shift was not a kind person. I overheard her loud conversations with other patients - which shows she doesn't respect discretion - and out of nowhere, the receptionist took a conversation to a different direction, so fast, I guess defending her competence, saying "I didn't say that. I know my job". This receptionist is very rude. She has no compassion. I hope for her to quit this job and to peruse her dreams of whatever makes her happy so she can finally exude some form of kindness in her next job.
They got good dr. And staff a lot less longer than the hospital unless you dont have a family dr your screwed
WOOORSSST service ever. Receptionist in the front is RUDE. (The AM chick during weekday). I was the 5th one in line at 6am. She took my card at 7:30, which is alright. But apparently she forgot to register me in the system. Patients who came AFTER me were going through triage before me. I went and asked her what was going on and she started speaking SO rudely. You have to be patient. The doctor decides to see patients with emergencies before Blah blah. But if a person hasn t gone through triage, how can the doctor judge already? I tried to explain it to her that i understand all this but i did not go through triage. But it wouldn t go through her head. Later when she realized what i was trying to say, she took my card again, and realized she forgot to scan my card. So obviously they hadn t called me. She didn t even apologize but instead yelled again and started blabbering how people aren t patient. LOL own up to your mistake! :) Everybody makes mistake, that s okay if you didn t scan my card. I totally understand. But control that mouth of yours and lower that tone. :)
I am not usually the type to go home and type up a review, but wow when you are treated as poorly as I was at this clinic it's worth sharing. Desperate to see a doctor last Tuesday, I called every walk in clinic in the surrounding area. When I finally spoke to a receptionist at Brunswick Medical centre at 12 pm (it took 15 minutes for someone to answer), she said that there was still availability in the afternoon. I asked her to clarify what she meant as I did not want to take a taxi all that way for nothing, and she said that if I came right away I would be seen by a doctor between noon and 4pm. I immediately called a taxi and was there in 20 minutes. When I arrived at the clinic, I informed the receptionist that I was there for the walk-in clinic, to which she asked if I had an appointment. When I said no and repeated what she had told me on the phone only 20 minutes earlier, she rolled her eyes and said that it wasn't her I had spoken to, but "someone in the call centre upstairs" who did not know what they were talking about and that it wasn't her problem. She mentioned that they were available that evening, took my health card and told me to sit and wait. For the next half hour I watched many people walk into the clinic, who judging by their reactions were told the same thing I was over the phone. What shocked me the most was how rude, sarcastic, and exasperated the receptionist was. After half an hour, it occurred to me that I had absolutely no idea what I was waiting for. I approached the receptionist once more to ask her what she had meant by availability this evening, and if I was getting an appointment. She goes "Oh, no. You would be waiting for the walk-in like everybody else". Which brought me to ask her why she had my health card, and why I was waiting. To which she replies "Well I have to register you into the system". WHICH SHE HADN'T EVEN DONE YET. Needless to say I took my health card and got the hell out of there. Having read all of the negative reviews I went here against my better judgement. Without a doubt the worst walk-in clinic I have ever visited.
Horrible service. Very bad organisation. The appointments are not respected.
I've tried calling multiple times during their operating hours (8-12 and 1-4) and I NEVER receive an answer. I can't book online with TAP either because it NEVER has any availabilities?? How am I supposed to book an urgent appointment? I literally have no way of contacting my family doctor... this is ridiculous
Disappointed with the behavior of the receptionist patricia who gives herself the right to cancel an appointment no longer vs just answering pck vs refusing to do qq screening test whereas it is a right I will also give a 0 to dr simon before the know on the site rate my doctor to report the behavior of his receptionist
Do not go to this clinic! The receptionist is rude and she cancels an appointment as she wishes
Too bad, bad attitude, bad nurses, very rough, I will never come back,
Too bad, bad attitude, bad nurses, very rude, I will never come back, , ,,
Disgraceful.
I had a phone consultation 2 days ago and at the end Dr Mitchel Stendal told me he will send me a prescription so I can go get a blood test, even took my email. For 2 days I have been waiting for this prescription to get into my mail box, after realizing it wasn t coming, I called the clinic and spoke to his secretary. I was shook when she told me the only note he left on your file is to go see your family doctor .
The main reason I contacted this clinic on Tap Medical is because I don t have one.
After reading the many 1 star reviews (which is complete aberration for the ones supposed to look for people s health). I needed to share my experience since this does not seem to be an isolated incident, but a practice.
All the doctors doing this should be ashamed to call themselves doctors.
Avoid at all costs...my mom went to go see a dermatologist here regarding serious and potentially dangerous red spots/patches all over her legs and thighs...keeping in mind she also has Multiple Sclerosis. The doctor came in and stayed for no more then 10 minutes. She told my mom 2 things...one that she cant tell what the problem is, and 2 that she could do a mini biopsy but that wont guarantee anything either. She then proceeded to perscribe her a cream...how do you perscribe a medication to someone if you cant diagnose them with anything. Super rude doctor and she didnt know what she was doing.
This gynaecology office was awful. Firstly the secretary s very clearly hate their jobs (Try to get ahold of that office the line is always closed) Secondly nobody told me anything about what was going to happen to me, I went through it all alone. And when I called them they didn t even ask for a name or who I was just being lazy told me to go to the hospital and HUNG UP. My first appointment there they ask you all your personal questions in ear shot of other patients, not even a little bit of privacy. The gyno herself was fine but I will never be going back and you shouldn t even step a foot in there. Find somewhere else for your own well being..
I can not believe we had to come in so early in the morning to have a place for walk-in and wait as long before seeing the doctor.
Several medical clinics use this service in Greater Montreal, except for the West Island. Why ?
Is it the doctors who resist changes or are the managers who are too conservative?
Honesty, worse medical center I've ever been in my life, Walkin Rep so unpleasant and disrespectful, I really dont know base on what qualification they hire those people as front desk.
Even the family medicine upstairs is less respectful too
We all hope you guys change your behaviors by imagination , I guess!
I have been with this clinic for years and have very few complaints. I live 20 miles away but still go there. All of my doctors are there. They are all extremely competent. The staff is courteous, the place is exceptionally clean, modern, and well equipped. It is a multi disciplinary facility that has everything that a patient could need from general medicine to many specialities. All of my doctors share the same medical records which avoids mistakes.
Actually this is a private clinic that doesn't charge a penny for superior medical care. It is a part of the McGill University teaching facilities and has an association with their university and its hospitals.
Called to get a 2 week newborn checkup and after being on hold for 25 min, the secretary says: we do not accept new patients with existing siblings. Basically if you have 1 child, we can follow your child. This seems pretty discriminatory. You either accept new patients or you don't, you cannot base your decision on such factors.
I don't know about other patients but me am patient of Dr. Vasillie she took good care of me and the people assisting her are really polite and nice.
Worse clinic I've seen. I had a consultation a month ago. The doctor said he was not sure about the prescription and would call me back. Nobody called me. I followed up by email and phone, still no response. By phone, they told me the doctor was with another patient and would call me but this never happened. So they're being paid for a consultation that was not completed. Would you do this if it was an in-person consultation?
Dr. Peter George Daignault is an arrogant without limit. This morning he reproached me for bringing back a member of my family who spent the night vomiting and who was very weak this morning. His complaint was that it is probably a gastro and there was no need to come. He bluntly told me: Why did you come and we are not supposed to be a doctor to guess that it's just a gastro. The consultation lasted 2 minutes and I complained to the secretary at the entrance to show me my desolation at the lack of professionalism of this doctor.
What a misfortune to leave patients in the hands of this parson who gives a very negative image of this center in particular and the state of the quality of our medicine in general.
So I my gf decides to call on behalf of her mother who doesn't speak french or english and the receptionists insists to speak to her mother, then she gets mad when it takes longer for the patient to respond since we have to translate every single word and tell her what to say. Terrible service!
Both my parents visited on separate occcasions and received attention and were home in two and a half hours. X-rays included with no waiting. The service was better than any emergency hospital service. It helped to go to the morning shift early.
I have waited 4 hours just to get a doctors note. And the personel in front are often condescending.
my client applied an insurance. The insurance need the medical report from DR CHRISTINA FASIE-NEAGOE who is my clients family doc.
It is take her 3 months to do so and after I made so many calls. It is unbelievable!!!!!!!
Great doctors (Dr. Pantazopoulos, Dr. Anawati) and nice new building. One thing that needs to be added: bicycle racks. I live nearby and always bike here, and never have anywhere to put my bicycle. Please add a bicycle rack.
What i like about it is all docs are in one building but the lines are at most always busy. I like the new tour. Its organized. Clean.
I must mention that I have 5 star service from my family doctor and services at the clinic .
Terribly disappointed with the walk in availability. It s been 25+ years since I needed walk in service I am recently diagnosed with shingles. Not knowing what I was dealing, called to make an appointment with with m y family doctor. Her secretary advised me on Friday ( day 3 of symptoms) that she was not working that day and that I should start calling at 7:30 am the next day( Saturday) to go see a physician at the walk in. So that is what I did. Woke up to make sure I was in the phone by 7:30. I was on hold for 12-15 min before the line cut . So I called back . This happened 3 times . While on hold they say that you can book an appointment on line. So while on hold I logged in and not surprising there was nothing available on line . Absolutely frustrating knowing now with what I am dealing with and time of the essence to get treatment as soon as possible. I got in my car and went to the clinic and was turned away at the door saying there is no one here that can see you.
I got in my car and figured I would just go to the ER and at least be assured to be seen today. I decided to try a clinic just before turning into the hospital parking lot . the nurse taking 1 look at me, she was able to determine that I absolutely needed service without delay. she promptly took my Medicare card and I was in and out of the clinic with my prescription in less than 15 min. .
Why couldn t that happen at the BMC . ?
You need a crystal ball to know when you are going to be sick. Show up and receptionist gives an asinine response like you have to be here at 7:00 am. Sorry I didn't know I was going to be sick .
Service is awful . Don't find many of the MD's to have a good sense of medicine .
Doctors at walk-in clinic are very condescending. Didn t help me at all too, said a specialist would call but they never did and they also never emailed me info for a referral to a specialist. I wasted my time waiting for a call just to get a doctor who at first refused to speak English, be rude to me and then act like what I m calling for is my fault.
I call for an annual appointment. I introduce myself I am told that my appointment was not in the computer so that I presented myself for nothing.
I am not even called the day before my appointment to confirm. I try to make another appointment, I am told to wait and they hang up on me after 20 minutes of waiting. Still no appointment!
This place is a joke, sitting their for 5 minutes i already knew where everyone lived and their phone numbers! Should certainly be more private and/or receptionist reciting personal information should CERTAINLY be quieter! Receptionist has zero empathy and is not human friendly WHATSOEVER!
They are supposed to open at 8:00 am and they do not answer the phone before 8:25? I do not understand ? They have 25 minutes break starting? I did not like
The worst clinic I've ever seen in my life. Long waiting hours, aggressive staff, there is no thicket system, they just make you seat there for hours and visit you when they like. Once I got there in the morning around 9, and many people came hours after me. but I was the last person to be seen by doctor that day, at around 6pm.
Around month ago I went for 24 hour blood pressure monitoring suggest by my family doctor. Jean Coutu nurse who took the data out from machine told me it is high and should meet my doctor. I tried to take an appointment with my family doctor but for next few weeks she is busy and can't give me an appointment. Therefore I decided to go to walk-in clinic immediately if there is anything serious. That was last week. Since opening time of walk-in clinic is 7:30 am, I reached there at 7:05 am in the morning and there were 11 people ahead of me. The receptionist opened the main door at 7:15 am. Since I had meeting at my office in downtown was at 12 noon, so I was comfortable that I had enough time. At 10 am I was a little nervous and asked the receptionist how many files are ahead of me and when I will get my turn. She said that only 2-3 files are ahead of me. At 10:30 am I told her that I have an important meeting and will like to leave in few minutes since taking bus and metro to reach downtown may take more than an hour. She said that there is no guarantee that I may get your number. I thought in my mind that I will wait till 11 am and will take my car to work today to reach before 12 noon. At 11 am still she told me that 2-3 files are still ahead of me and there is no guarantee. I left at 11:15 am with out meeting the doctor.
Can you believe, I reached there at 7:05 am and till 11:15 am that is after four hours I could not meet the doctor. Something is wrong in their Walk-in clinic.
Like others, I would rate it zero if I could. Made an appointment at 1:50 through Tap and arrived at 1:30, punctual I thought. Receptionist wasn t as awful as people said and I waited... all the way until 3:40 when I asked the receptionist if this was normal and what the point of making an appointment was, she said it s not an appointment just makes it so you don t have to wait that long. Well after two and a half hours of waiting I told her to cancel my spot because I had to go pick up my kids.
Terrible service and clinic! They were pumping up their friends before patients waiting longer wait times. I will never step foot in there again. I should ve read the reviews. If you do, steer clear!
Awful receptionist. Hung up on me after saying "oh my goodness" because I was unable to book an online appointment because TAP medical shows ZERO availability. Waste of time.
Went to the walk-in clinic yesterday with stomach pain. The clinic was open and empty - no doctors working on staff that night (it was 4pm and they close at 8pm!), and receptionist said all other stat care clinics are full and to capacity. I'm glad we have hospital emergencies as our last option, but why in our very developed country do we not have the ability to offer a variety of care services? When only acute care is made available, it fills up these services unnecessarily making it hard on the whole system. Absolutely ridiculous.
