The worst medical service in the whole west island of Montreal. It's totally illogical to call them a clinic without an appointment, and when you arrive they tell you that you should request an appointment online beforehand.

I went to the walk in clinic twice. The first time they told me I had mono when I actually had pneumonia, and I ended up getting extremely sick because they didn't catch it and I had to go to the emergency room. The second time, I had some sort of infection that wasn't serious, but they told me I had the measles and caused a huge health scare for myself as well as my school. Horrible experiences!
If I could put O star I would of, I talked to a doctor about me having hard time to sleep, I told her I have tried a pill called zopiclone witch is one of the best pills for sleeping problems and one of the less side effects, she told me if I Prescribe it to you I will go to jail, you are too young ( i am 26 years old) knowing that my friend got prescribe this and we have the same age, she was also slightly making fun of me by saying you can meditate it will help, I also asked about another problem she was unhelpful by saying go see another doctor, how come people like that are allowed to work, I don t recommend them at all, Ps: she got paid 50$ for this call, complete scam
I booked a telehealth appointment with them, a doctor did not call even after calling the receptionist to inquire about the situation. They assured me I would receive a call. 8 hours later still no call...I booked a second time. Still no call! Waste of time. Don't even bother with this medical centre.
staff is friendly. but for some reason they are slow . needs to have more services ( all in one services ) the pharmacy sometimes is very crowded though and i am not sure is it part of the medical center or not !
The wait time was 3 hours for me after getting there at 7:30 AM. I'm glad the nurse there let me see the doctor right after getting my blood pressure because I was having an asthma attack. They were friendly too.
Came in at 9:00 am, told to come back at 12:30 and did not see a doctor before 3:00 The slowest place I have ever been to,and there was only about 8 people in the waiting room when I arrived at 9:00 and at 12:00.
The worst medical service I have ever received. Do they even realize how many bad reviews they have? Went in for neck pain and was prescribed some pills - doctor was unbelievably rude and kept interrupting me as I was describing the pain. Then went in for x-rays and was told I would get a call back from the doctor - which they never did. When you call, it takes a long time to actually be connected to someone - when I was transferred from the receptionist to the proper person, it took another while to get a response - only to get hung up on! Avoid this clinic at all costs - I hear the Stillview clinic is good.
Horrible. Horrible service. The only reason I decided to go to this clinic instead of Statcare is because I was informed that the waiting time was shorter, and I understand why. People prefer to suffer and wait longer at other clinics for better service. I would rather wait 10 hours at the hospital than go back to this horrible place. The whole staff is rude but the worst is Daignault. I can t even put a title in front of his name, as this man is no doctor. Arrogant, condescending, impatient, rude....this man did not help me at all. He refused to give me blood tests???? This man is something. I ended up going to Statcare and got the help I needed and antibiotics as I have an infection. While Daignault just sent me home in my condition. This clinic is obviously there for the money not to heal people. I didn t even bother contacting the Manager judging by the automated replies in the reviews...they send the same message to everyone saying they will look into the situation and rectify the problem just to show you that they re doing something when they re really not. I don t even understand how they re still open or why that Daignault is still practicing medecine. Don t waste your time, go to Statcare or another clinic far far far away from Brunswick. Waiting at Lakeshore is even better. Hell, even drive all the way to Ottawa if it s not an emergency. But whatever you do, do not go to Brunswick Clinic. If you want to heal and get better, go somewhere else. If you want to waste your time and keep suffering, Brunswick is the place to go.
0 star ; for walking in clinic; as I don t understand why you having people their are not ready to help or providing advise what to do ; or at least pretend that they are helping ; or smile as you are not going to lose any thing ; just she keep saying come 6:30 morning with you child cause i come at 8:40 where we will open at 7:15 ; and why all this cause i need a refer letter for my daughter
Thank you great service was able to give me a requisition for infectious disease doctor fast and with in a week have a appointment great service a place that cares even for my hand surgery great service top notch
Absolutely love the children's clinic. They can almost always squeeze my son in for emergency appointment. I love the nurses, the doctor my son sees and the receptionists. I like that they added the valet parking as the parking situation was getting crazy. I took off a star as I wish they had a larger parking lot so we didn't need to pay, especially in the West Island, but hey, they can't control everything, and 5$ is pretty cheap
my sister fell and hurt her leg playing football after being rushed of the field we immediatly headed to brunswick medical where the doctor refused to do a x-ray and told her she was fine and to just take advil knowing this doctor was completly wrong we then had to head to the childrens where they did a x-ray and came back with the news that she had fractured her tibia in several diffrent places and almost had to do surgery. I then went back with a cuncussion the doctor said everything was fine and i wasnt cuncussed knowing there doctors were useless i then got a second view where they determined i was very seriously cuncussed and it was dangerous for me to even look at my phone. Common brunswick the 811 info santer and google are more help then you guys step it up we trust you with are healt its not a joke !!!!
I took an appointment for the walk-in clinic. I was told to come at 2pm. I arrive 30 minutes early and wait 1:30 before seeing a nurse in the yard. An hour later, I still have not passed ... Several people arrived after me have had time to see the doctor and leave ... What's the point of taking an appointment then ??
Went for a bone density exam in the radiology department. The technician was curt to the point of rudeness. The waiting room was empty, so she was not stressed or overworked.
She did not bother to weigh and measure me - just asked me how much I weighed and how tall I was. Every other time I've had a bone density (Queen Elizabeth Health Complex, Vaudreuil Radiology) I was ALWAYS weighed and measured.
This technician was unprofessional. I felt like a number, rather than a person and won't be going back to this department.
Waiting time of 2.30 to 3 hours every time, be it in the morning or after noon. They do say we can book online appointments using TAP. But the app never shows any slot as available. And even if you manage to get an online appointment, still you need to walk in, register each time and wait for 2.30 to 3 hours.
I had a concussion. One weekend I went to this walk-in clinic and met a great doctor. She gave me a test and explained exactly what I had to do. The next week I had to be evaluated again. I had the misfortune to meet Dr. Daignault. This doctor did not even look at me or listen. He just signed a doctor's paper (which costs $ 25 !!). I met him for only 5 min.
I have seen 2 specialists at this clinic for over 7 years now. They saved my life and that of my brother's .The staff has been efficient and courteous. In the 7 years I've been going to this clinic approximately once very 2 weeks. What I have observed are people (patients) being rude and demanding. This clinic is on "the west island" where people tend to have an extreme sense of entitlement. I strongly recommend this clinic.
Horrible treatment, never go anymore. My wife get fever for few days and cough too much with yellow phlegm. When we wait in the waiting room, we notice that doctor call patients directly and pass unnormlly fast. Then, No pre-check by nurse. The doctor just simply check your tone check your chest, say "you can go home and take good care of yourself !" We ask if we can get any medicine, the answer " Time, time, you just need time ". We wait for 2 hours and finished in 3 minutes. Then we decided to go to statecare. The doctor said my wife got bronchitis and gave us antibiotics and another medicine for coughing. She took the medicine once and getting much better now!
Stay away from this place, worse service ever and they treat u so badly. I had a very bad experience with one of their gynecologist dr kawerk and now they still giving me a hard time to send a copy of the result for my last test to me new dr. It's a business center, they convinced me to do all tests with them since I've a private insurance with work and now giving me hard time to get a copy of the result.
Please stay away from dermatology!! the doctors are very professional, but to get the appointment and get treated it took me more than 18 MONTHS!!! the receptionist at the front desk (Stephany I believe) provided horrible service!!! with the delay of 2 hours she did not even bother to call me to advice to come in later!!!! no respect for someone else time whatsoever. no apologies, nothing!! my friend tried booking urgent appt (HAVING URGENT DOCTOR REFERRAL) with the same doctor, so the same receptionist did not even bother calling her back. STAY AWAY!!!
Don t take your child to this hospital especially to Dr. Samir khoury . He bruised my child by forcefully trying to open his mouth . It was a physical abuse. My child was crying the whole day because of pain . He got swelling on his cheek and blood spots and bruises in his mouth. He has no patience to ask reason for visit to his office nor patience to talk to a toddler. Now is afraid of doctors. Thanks to him and hospital.
Horrible, horrible service!! We came to the walk-in clinic this morning before 9 am and had to wait 6 HOURS to see the doctor! Two doctors were on duty Dr. Schachter and Dr.Okoniewski. The room was full of sick people .. no one seat was available. We did ask if we can come after 2-3 hours, but they said:" It will be not long, you can wait " It was like jokes.. we did wait 6 hours and felt so stressed, frustrated... and got no help... Canada is the most progressive country in the world ... how it's possible to have so low, terrible medical system?! Shame!
I got a referral from my doctor for one of their specialists. I faxed it in and waited a few weeks before calling. They say that it takes them between 1 and 6 months to call back to make appointments with the referrals they receive. Not to make an appointment - just to call. I can find a community service in my neighborhood to perform the same service with a 2-minute internet search and make an appointment immediately. Why does anyone ever go here?
this is thw worst place ever. We went to radiology for my 8y old with a possible broken hand. She was seen monday. they said 2-3 days to have results. Our dr and i have been calling for 24h, it is now friday....still no results and we got a bunch of lies...yes we faxed it, yes we are refaxing it...Seriously i am so diapointed and mad it unbelivable...how can you do that to a child???
Multiple times I've tried to get in to see a doctor here and it just seems like an impossible task -- especially if you are not able to be there at some ridiculous hour like 7am in the morning!!
Extremely difficult to get anyone on the phone, and dealing with reception staff that is rude and uncooperative.
After this type of service and behaviour, I've decided that it is simply not worthwhile to even try to return to this clinic.
The ability to see a doctor at the Brunswick Medical Center Walk-In Clinic has become progressively more difficult if not impossible over the past several years. I arrived at 10:30am last Friday morning and was turned away because all the available slots were booked to closing at 8:00pm. I tried the next day, Saturday, and arrived at 8:15am. Again I was told that all available slots were booked until closing. At 8:15am the Walk-In Clinic was booked solid until closing! All I required was a prescription renewal. I have been told that in order to secure a slot one should arrive at least 1 hour before opening.
There are not enough doctors on hand to handle the demand and the business model is not efficient or beneficial to the patient.
Try an alternative before going here or plan to arrive well before the Walk-In Clinic opens.
West there a week ago, with terrible cough, flu, doctor did check my lungs, and then just gave me antibiotics, dont know if I needed that, but it seemed very easy for her to recommend and get me out of there. The wait is horrendous, definitely should do something about that. It is four days into antibiotics and not sure if anything happening, will see my gp next month to verify. Hard to go there, wait a day to see doc and not sure if the diagnosis is correct. Do the doctors have a quota?? Try not to go there. A real shame.
The worst clinic I have ever been too!!!! My daughter never got her mri results and when I went back to get them the secretary who was very arrogant told me why would we call you back with the results...if you want it you have to pay for it....never again they get 0 stars from me....
i work in a medical clinic and called there twice and left voicemails to have the fax number in order to send results for a patient and they never called me back. service over the phone is aweful.
Does anyone actually work here. I have been calling for a week leaving messages with the new family doctor that I was transferred to, and no one is calling me back. This is absolutely absurd. Terrible.
The worst of worst clinics in Montreal area. Their Obstetrics & Gynecology clinic staff never answer the phone, the receptionist for Doctor Zhang (Sandra) failed to send our files to our new clinic and when we complained, she said I can't concentrate! She also lost one of our test results. We reached to her supervisor (Robin) and she also never retuned our calls. PLEASE DON'T go to this place.
So much time and stress is saved by the Brunswick having multiple specialists located in the same building. Compared to navigating to a different part of town and having to find the office in an unfamiliar building with my elderly mother or with my 3 month old in the car seat, the Brunswick simplified things a lot. The problem is the wait times at the walk-in clinic. There waiting room was mostly empty withabout 6 people waiting when I arrived at 4:30pm. I waited almost 3 hours..BUT the doctor was very thorough in making a diagnosis and took the extra time doing so.
The wait times are long at the walk in. That's why I didnt give 5 stars.
I go to this clinic most of the time, and it is not better or worse than others I have been to. I wish they had the system some other walk-in clinics use where you can leave the clinic and they call you back when it's almost your turn.
dr Daignault needs to change profession I have been at home many times no medication he just said it will go by itself and that is a doctor ........ once he told me it's nothing , I went to another clinic and they told me that I have pneumonia, bravo dr Daignault, never at home again
This review is specifically for the OBGYN clinic. The doctors are lovely, as are the nurses. The reception team is very rude and unprofessional. I received a call on December 6th stating that I needed a special biopsy (this was very scary news). They stated they would call me to schedule an apt, and also gave me a phone number to call them. I called the number that was provided and it led to nowhere (unassigned number). I have tried to call back the clinic directly multiple times. No one would be available and the message said to leave a voicemail. However, the voicemail would immediately hang up. This went on for weeks. I understand if this happened only during the holidays, but it happened before and after as well. Today, I finally managed to get through to reception. I took my apt. then explained my situation to the receptionist. She did not respond whatsoever. She looked in her system and said that I had been called December 6. She did not validate me whatsoever, nor offer any apology for what happened (I wasn't looking for an apology really but some sort of comment letting me know that this was a mistake/accident). It was very clear that she didn't believe a word I was saying. I tried to ask her a question at the end, to clarify what happened and why I haven't been able to get through for weeks, and she then hung up on me. The doctors are lovely at this clinic, but what's the point if these are the receptionists at the gate, and you can't get an appointment (even for something like this that seems urgent)??
Every time I call I get transferred to an answering machine... I've left multiple messages and never get a returned call. The only way to get service is to go in person! Not a very reliable clinic if you have serious health issues or need a refill for your medication.
1. Disorganized place, the receptionist took the mid card at 7:50 am and register her at 9am. Then she asked me to come at 2 pm and then she saw the Dr. At 4.15 pm.
2. My kid had fever and they didn't give her any medicine and when I asked when my kid will go in, they told me this is confidential information .
3. After all this wating, the Dr. was not sure what my kid have so we have to do test for $35.
It was not like been before i was there last week at 7am called at 8:30 and was told to be back at 1:30 at 1pm I asked the receptionist that Im back and waited until 5:30 then I left I was wondering taking my medicare card punching it in without even seeing a doctor its ridiculous. As a tax payer Our medical system really sucks.
I ve been coming to the Brunswick Medical Center for about 11 years now for gynaecology. My doctor and the nurse there have been amazing, but my issue is with reception. It never seems like they communicate to me what my doctor tells me. I was supposed to be referred to another doctor because we were having trouble getting my IUD placed. She said the reception would call me to schedule an appointment, which never happened. My period came and went, and then I was in exams and couldn t come in. I called Monday during the hours they were open and no answer. The phone line eventually just hung up after 15 min on hold. Today I called again and finally got through and the receptionist was very quick to just dismiss me because I was on day 3 of my period instead of day 1 (this is literally just to be sure I m not pregnant when it s inserted, but I m single during a pandemic so not like anything is happening to me). She instead transferred me to another receptionist who isn t there and didn t want messages left. So I called back to speak to reception again and I got transferred right away to a generic receptionist at the clinic. She thought it was because the OBGYN office was close, but in fact it s closing in an hour and no one is answering my calls. The lines go dead after a while. I have to leave the country in January for a year and have been trying to get this thing done since October with no success.
Worst place I have even been. 3 hour wait!!!! Are you out of your mind??? But how can you trust a place who places a sign of zero tolerance to violence just right in front of the reception, meaning they are 100% sure prople will conplain for the bad service. The secretary in the afternoon needs custoner service training urgently!!
I only wish I could give you a lower score. Had to go there to get three vaccines done. First one was no problem, second one went well and when we went for the third one we were told we had to buy the vaccine from them or get charged extra to use our vaccine supplied by our doctor. What I find weird is why the first two weren't an issue and all of a sudden forced to buy something I was holding in my hands or get charged extra for the injection. Well I guess everybody's greedy pigs. These people just want your money and don't care for your health. Found another place that will be doing it free of charge.
If I could rate this clinic 0 stars I WOULD. Reception and nurses are completely rude every single time someone calls. They NEVER answer the phone, impatient with any questions one might have, make you wait on the phone if they magically do answer and then hang up on you without a response.
Some nurses, while doing the " Triage " don't respect doctor patient confidentiality, they put the patient on speakerphone when explaining the reasoning so the whole office can hear you medical reasons for seeing the doctor, become rude and aggressive when you ask them the reason for being on speakerphone and to kindly put the person on headset rather than speakerphone. There are very few Good doctors that actually work there. They seem overworked, impatient, and are condescending with the patient and that is requiring medical attention.
In conclusion, if one might be able to seek medical attention at another establishment I suggest you do so. The clinic is completely unprofessional.
Came at 1050am to come back and its 2pm and still haven't seen a nurse not even a doctor a nurse to identify the problem to be handed off to the doctor.
If I could rate this a 0, I would. Rude, dismissive staff (aside from triage nurse, she was very nice, so I guess that s worth the ONE star). The doctor seemed like he was in such a rush, did not listen to me at all. MISDIAGNOSED ME and I More
Covid or not, always extremely long to have a human on the phone. My doctor asks me to call back to make an appointment, but I have to go through your system which is not working. Secretaries should have a number other than the clinic number so that patients are served properly.
Went with bad back pain Dr Daignault spent a whole 30 seconds looking at it after which he only gave me a script. I specifically asked if the heavy nature of my job could aggravate it he just waved off the question and looked at me like I was an idiot... 4 days later wound up in emergency unable to even stand... Turns out I had a double hernia ...do not waste your time!!!!
Pls remove Dr-P.G.-Daignault from your list. If not, people won't come in anymore. Pls read the comments and make sound judgement to reflect the voice from the community.
Came at 10:40 am to see a doc. Got an appointment for 4:30. The nurse had to update all my info since I haven't been here in over 5 years. Would think she would mention that "an appointment for 4:30" really meant "evening shift which runs from 5pm to 8pm". Ok, no biggie. Get triaged at 4:50. Told I am the second in line. 6:15pm and I am still here.... Heard about a great place in Pierrfonds. Very attentive and keep their time accurate. Will try it next time. Already lost a couple of hours here, may as well take a nap...
I've had the privilege and been blessed with becoming a patient with a caring physician at this medical center when no other doctor really cared or had given up on me. The staff is extraordinary to say the least and have gone beyond to make sure I'm being put in the right hands. The encouragement, understanding and compassionate that they all have, has encouraged me to seek help and believe that one day, I will be myself again. Thank you AK, C & A. From cop lady.
impossible to reach them by phone. i have tried both numbers several times over 3 days now for a very simple question that should take them 30 seconds to answer. you get put into a hold queue that i am convinced goes nowhere.
For a walk in, it's great. The morning receptionist is one of the nicest people ever (I tend to go in the mornings so I don't really know the others). The wait time is quite reasonable if you're willing to get there early. They do use Tap Medical now, so that might help a little as well with spot reservation. However, every time I have been there, I got well taken care of, had good doctors, and got what I needed. I have been to some walk ins that are terrible, and this one is not. The last time I went, (without counting my time in line), counting the triage and seeing the doctor, I was out in about an hour and fifteen minutes. I honestly think the bad reviews are not that warranted. They do what they can, as efficiently as possible, given the time they have. The medical system in Quebec is imperfect, but they try their best!
This medical center is closed on Saturdays when there should be doctors on call at all times. This explains the congestion of emergencies in hospitals. I can not wait to live an effective public medical system, otherwise it would be better to have a state system with salary doctors like nurses.
terrible clinic never again dr moreau is super rude like hello if you do not like your job just quit and find something which makes you happy . and tryinG to get ahold of a supervisor on the phone was terriBle WAITED for 20 MINS I was getting transferred to places like a game . I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CLINIC TO ANYONE NEVER AGAIN WILL I CONSULT A DR THERE
I had the worse experience in this clinic. Bad service and i got a call to come to see the doctor as soon as possible and when I took a day off to see the doctor. The Doctor said to me that he never requested me to come nothing to tell. and the week after I got onther call to come over for my CAT results. I arrived at 10:30am and the secretary tool me we're full you can register for the afternoon I did and I stayed until 3:20pm waiting and I told the secretary I have to go out for 10 minutes to move my car and when I came back to see the doctor the secretary refused to service me and she said that I got replaced with onther person so I last my place and my day I will never recommend this clinic to any of my client which I am hairstyles and makeup artist my client and I talk all day long and for sure I won't recommend to any of my friends and family
my first visit, on January this year, was a disaster. the receptionist was very rude and the doctor i saw (i don't remember his name) was very unprofessional and he talk to me like - his the highest, i'm the poor). i was very disappointed. yesterday i was there again (because i'm sick to go at statcare ); the young receptionist was polite, i fund the nurse very cold and agressive, but, i was lucky, because the doctor i saw was patient, comprehensive, he gave me what i asked (maybe because he is young and more patient).
The first time I went to this clinic I brought my 3 yr old daughter in with a suspected urinary tract infection. While in the waiting room, she told me she had to pee. I asked the medical secretary for a urine sample jar knowing that the doctor would need a sample to send to be analyzed. She refused; "She has to be seen by the doctor first". She stuck doggedly to this rule, despite my explanation that a 3 yr old cannot just "hold it" the way an adult can. My daughter was weeping by the time we were called in. Another time, I went with my son who had an ear infection. I was told that they weren't taking any more children because the doctors on duty could not see children. I explained that it is just an ear infection, they only have to look. She says: "children's ears are very different from adult ears.". More recently, my son was taken in by my husband. He had brought the expired card (my fault, I brought the good one to work). I sent a picture of the new card, and said I would be there with it in 25 minutes. They refused to even register him. So he waited until I arrived at which point he was placed a the bottom of the list.
Up until this point, I had understood these inconveniences as being neccessary in order to manage a clinic that treats a large population. I understand that rules are put in place for a reason, and was able to talk myself out of my irritation with them. However, it was during this last visit that I reached my limit of what I can tolerate. While in the waiting room, I noticed a young girl of abouf 5 years old crying and moaning. REAL crying, not just whining. One of her ankles was swollen to at least 3 times its normal size. The child was in agony. The mum went to ask how long it would be and was told her daughter was next in line. After this at least 3 or 4 more people's names were called, all adults, before her daughter. The second time the mum went up to the medical secretary, she was snapped at: "you have to take a seat, you can't keep coming up here!". No explanation was given as to why her daughter who was "next in line" was not being called. Two more people were called before the child was finally seen. Perhaps the child should have been taken to emergency at the hospital, but would this not have been something the medical secretary would be competent to suggest? Or to ask a nurse? Surely, some measure of compassion would have been appropriate in this situation. I understand that there are rules. But there is also the ability to use judgement when applying those rules. I will not be returning to this clinic.I encourage others who are considering using this clinic to avoid if if you can. There are other walk-in clinics in Pointe Claire and in the west island that are much better.
Extremely poor service, poorly organized, if organized at all. Trying now to transfer files from there to a new family doctor. Very time consuming and they are not helpful. My family doctor moved away for a couple years and they never informed us. No follow ups. Their customer relations is non existant. Do not bother with this place. I am out of there.
TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! I brought my mother over to register her name to the receptionist who supposingly " registered " her name. We waited about 3 hours even the people that came after us got treated. We were the last to be treated and found out WE WERE NOT REGISTERED AT ALL in the system!!! Never again, very unprofessional.
This is for the walk-in clinic. The doctors are fine, it's the receptionist. I get that she's alone at the reception she's just rude. It doesn't seem like she really cares or wants to hear what you have to say. I went because I couldn't even move my head and my back was so tensed up. I asked for ice and she sent me to see the laboratory and they sent me to STARBUCKS!! HOW IS IT POSSIBLE THAT STARBUCKS IS THE ONLY PLACE THAT HAS ICE. Incredible, yes Canada has free service but unless you're dying you won't get much attention. Instead of making the place look nicer spend your money on employees and improving your service.
worst service i have ever seen in a clinic. you call a number to make an appointment and they say they can't help you and just hang up! then you fax them your request they call you back just to say we can't help you. this is supposed to be the biggest clinic in the west island... all other place i spoke to were surprised that this place CAN'T take a patient cause they have the most this and that!
One out three diagnosis here are wrong. Can't be seen by a doctor within a reasonable delay unless you show up an hour before it opens and wait outside. What choice do we have when we get sick? Go to the emergency at a hospital and wait 6+ hours? The nurses are great. The doctors have a terrible attitude towards patients. Charging $25 for a medical note? Don't like working in a drop in clinic? Then don't. It's not a free service and I won't shut up. We over pay through our taxes for substandard medical services but that's our whole medical system. No one is held accountable. "I'm just doing my job" attitude. The system is broken. Brunswick medical center is the perfect example of another badly managed gov't branch.
