I went to the Brownlow website hoping to see details of a range of castors, but the 'catalog' is not available to non registered users. There were no instructions about how to register. The website visit was annoying and a waste of time.

Need to know what you want here. No a place for browsing.

A real trade style business. You can go in as a regular guy but you get trade level service.

Always love a specialist shop. But another one that doesn't put prices on most of their stock.

I went in looking for some hinges/latches to make a case and the prices that they did show for small, unsprung, basic latch ( 4.50) seemed way too high. Hate to say it but you can get 4 sprung latches for 9.99 on Amazon.

I will be returning however as it's an interesting shop that could probably help you out. I don't mind paying extra if you get the extra service

Popped into Brownlows to buy two locking nuts 13mm and one grub bolt. These would cost around 9c each for the nuts in the Co Op superstore and 25c for the bolt, but I needed them straight away and Brownlows was near by.
They charged 2 and thats fine no problem.
But when I went to pay by card as I did not have change the guy serving me told me it was ridiculous to come to a shop and not to be able to pay and had a good rant, firstly I did pay, secondly it's the 21st century most people don't carry cash.
The visa debit service charge for this transaction would be 0.1% which I would have happily paid even though I had been well over charged anyhow, yet this ignorant man thinks its ok to be ignorant and rude to a customer over 0.1% from a 2 sale!
Put a notice up if you don't accept card under a certain value and don't be so ignorant! The transaction fee was well covered having been well over charged for 3 nuts! I'll go elsewhere in the future. They seem to forget I spent 200 on a tool set the week before never again! Avoid!
Unless of course you like being spoken to like a piece of s##t! I have delt with some of the other lads in here and there grand, but this curly grey haired ignorant tw#t needs to learn some manners!

Been going here for years, extremely helpful staff with honest opinions and advice on what they sell. Maybe a little more expensive on some items but that s because they maintain in stock pretty much any engineering parts or tools you might want. Especially good for trailer parts and can even fabricate parts to order.

I would gladly recommend AR Brownlow to anyone needing parts, my experience and help from Declan Murphy in sales was brilliant. He double checked measurements and made sure I got the correct parts. Great company to deal with.

On the expensive side, but for occasional minor purchase it's very convenient.

I asked the price of a tool to one guy he said 3 E, then I went to pay to another guy and he said 7 E, probably because he noticed that I was not Irish. When I said that the other guy told me another price, he apologized and he made me pay 3 E. THIEVES

My family business (was) metal fabrication, so it great to see good service from Curley & and staff on my trailer.
Very reasonable (professional) prices.
If you want a cheap job, go elsewhere!

Paid twice as much as anywhere else for a cavity wall anchor setting tool. There's no way these things are worth over 38 euro!

A bit expensive but they have everything from an anchor to a needle.

Fantastic customer service. You can as a novice ask them any question and they don't make you feel like an idiot just for asking the question. They have a huge range of equipment and if you don't see what you want or just need advice on the correct tool, just ask. They are my go to place for any tools I need. Good prices too.

Great shop for tools and tooling for machines like lathes and Mills.

Robbery shop, you would get tools twice cheaper a cross the road, and much better quality.

Very helpful staff, great selection of unusual sized nuts and bolts
