Brown Books Publishing Group Review

I was very disappointed in them. I talked to a lady on the phone and she was very RUDE to me. I am a photographer and was highly interested in publishing my own book full of my own photos. I told her I wasn't sure how this whole thing worked because I am new to publishing and was asking for some information on how it works and so forth. all I got was well do you know who you will be attacking and so froth which was fine with me but she said it like I am already know how to publish a book and what is involved. She was very rude to me. I was calling for information on how to publish and she was treating me like she was aggravated. How is someone going to gain the knowledge of publishing and what goes into it if she is rude to them. She just lost my business forever especially sense I have had many ideas for many photo books and a novel that I have been working on for a while that I was also thinking of publishing with them.

At the end she finally said okay fine I will give you my email and you can send me some of your photos and so I did. I sent her some photos and have never heard back from her sense 4 months later. I would have appreciated an email back saying something like "At this time I am sorry I can't help you" Or "You photos are not something that we would be interested in publishing" Nope nothing

I am currently looking for better publishing companies to work on with me my books I have in mind and would like to turn into reality as I will put everything into this and also have my parents support and are willing to help me get to my dream

I was first associated wth Brown Books in 2009 when they published the first of three books, Dr. Mayo's Boy. Not only were they helpful but they also gave me hope when no one else did. That led to two additional collaborations when no other publisher did. Brown's talent with editing, cover design and layout were easily on par with the larger publishers. They represent a unique opportunity for certain authors who want more input into their projects. I can recommend them without reservation.

We first went to Brown Publishing over a year ago to begin the process of publishing my daughter's novel. Everyone that we have come in contact with at Brown has been very knowledgeable and professional. My family and I learn new things all the time about the publishing world. If you think you - or someone close to you - has a manuscript you think is worth publishing, you need professionals to take you by the hand and walk you through the process. We could save a little money and self-publish; but in my opinion, I don't think self-publishing is the best way to go. If I need someone to work on my car, I hire a professional; even though I "might" be able to figure it out on my on with enough studying. But I'd rather not.

This is one great company with amazing staff! As a first-time author, Brown Books Publishing Company led me through the process, keeping me informed and updated along the way. They are very professional and really care about the author. I think it is amazing that such a large company can make you feel as if you are their only client. Contact was always timely and helpful. Cost was more than reasonable given the quality of their work. I would highly recommend them!

Milli Brown and her fine and truly professional team at Brown Books Publishing Group have taken us to levels we couldn't have achieved on our own. Through their extraordinary sales team and marketing & distribution efforts, they have helped propel our debut children's picture book, Benjamin Birdie's First Flight, to a national audience. They are a great company. They explained in detail of the things I didn't quiet understand; Also helped me learn more about publishing.

I published my first book with Brown in 2005 and it changed my life. About to hand them the manuscript for book #5. They are the best!

I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with Brown Books. I worked with a developmental editor who was superb (Tim Boswell) and a wonderful PR dept (LOVED Cathy Williams). I appreciate all their efforts in all regards.

I received a call from Milli Brown on a Sunday morning after submitting an inquiry... at first I was very impressed on the quick response only to be very disappointed by the very rude conduct from this person! I was not happy to get a business call on a Sunday morning, and to be so rude and condensing to me completely offended me. I would not recommend this publisher. She was bashing the other company I had been dealing with which is highly unprofessional! There really isn't anything more to say. I had a very poor experience and would not recommend this company!

Brown Books is publishing a book series for me. I am thankful for the quality of work this publishing company has to offer. I can truly say that my book series has a greater chance for success with the help they are providing! Ted the Friendly Frog book series is really good. But, every book or series needs help to be successful. Brown Books has the avenues, channels, and guidance for each Author to be successful. I highly recommend Brown Books Publishing Company!
