We always have the absolute best service from Alena. Today was the third time a manager came up and acted like she had forgot to greet patrons.
She had not.
So he grabbed waters and took to the table and left. Never has he been proactive and stopped to ask how we are enjoying our meal. Nor has he walked the room to sincerely ask how things are

The food was delicious. Vegetarian options are your standard black bean burger and spinach dip appetizer but they are done well. Salads are also full menu items full of different flavor profiles. Their plating is a bit ostentatious but the atmosphere is classy so it seems they want plates to match. Great place for a business lunch you plan to write off as a business expense.

Great place for classic American fare. Definitely try the smoked Gouda Mac and cheese - it is a religious experience. The bar is surprisingly hopping and a fantastic place to meet up with friends. The service is exceptional as well.

Taste of food has slipped. Has been one of my favorite places to eat because things were so good. Last two times has been disappointing. Service was still excellent, except meal came to table before salads were finished and table top was extremely crowded.

They have a full bar, dining area with nice tables and booths. The restaurant has dim lighting which gives it a nice ambiance. The staff are very professional and friendly. I ordered the 16 ounce ribeye today and it had almost no flavor. However, I have been to this location in the past and normally the steaks are seasoned well. Maybe they changed the recipe, not sure. I really wanted to add another star but could not justify it when the item I ordered costs $37 and I could make a better steak at home on my own grill.

Music was nice, but a little too loud. I was told there was a 10 minute wait and I waited probably 20+ minutes. However, the staff was courteous, the mood and setting were great, and the food was excellent.

This place seems to be all about stellar service, which makes up to some degree for their somewhat-less-than-average kitchen (surprising, considering their above-average prices). Servers were fast, attentive, and extremely warm and friendly. Burgers that were ordered medium were delivered very overcooked, burnt to a crispy film of carbon on the outside, with a small amount of pink inside. They were also a bit messy to eat, due to the oblong rolls they are served on. They do know how to bake potatoes, however; both the loaded baked potato and the sweet potato were good. About their prices, they are commonly given two $$, but I think they are now closer to $$$.

This was my first experience with Brookwood Grill ...

This was my first experience with Brookwood Grill this past late Saturday evening. The music was interesting, didn't particularly prefer it. We were greeted by the hostess and informed of a brief wait. It was brief. Off to a great start! I requested the house wine. I was corrected and was then suggested another entry wine without knowing what appetizer or entree I would be ordering. (This was my way of seeing whether we're served on fine China or the Cornell i.e. I came in specifically to review the Grill ) We proceeded to order the calamari. After a second helping, I discovered a long hair deeply fried into the crust linking a couple of pieces together! Disgusted, my son notified the server and she offered another. My son preferred the dip but conceded to the ladies' choice. I was done with the calamari. My daughter in law wanted the server's offer. A gentleman did come out and apologize. I then ordered the lobster bisque, delicious but l bit into a small shell. I ordered the mixed salad and the surf & turf. I'm used to lobster as the surf but I went with the flow. My son had steak medium rare (the steak was rare) and potato, requested sour cream, reminded the server but never received it. My daughter in law had the crab cake. This was the entree, most satisfying. We ordered desert, I had the brownies ala mode. Regrettably, the brownie was incredibly dry! It burst when I bit into it like a vampire in direct sunlight! The bite of ice cream helped vanquish the urge to cough up the dry piece of brownie. As the family of a former general manager of luxury resort this was disappointing. The calamari wasn't even offered complimentary. We chose NOT to send anything back to the kitchen. I took my leftover home to find a little calamari, separate plate, with my entree. I prefer preparing my own take home containers. Prior to the fried hair and shell the entrees were delicious but what what would it take to receive the entrees as I believed they were intended? This was our Christmas dinner together since they will be out of town.
