Very cool old library stuffed on the third floor of a building. You enter through a non-descript door and walk up two flights of stairs. You will be told by the staff that you can't go to the floors above or below unless you are a researcher. Places like this are always staffed by friendly but bossy volunteers.

What a beautiful library which holds an absolute treasure trove of Historical information! And to the wonderful Lady that helped me to find so many tidbits of information to aid in my research of my Penhallow ancestry. I cannot wait to go back!

Was difficult to find, eventually it turned out we had to use a door right next to the Irish gift shop. The library is impeccable, great archives and reading area. The volunteers are very welcoming and there s a lovely gallery that changes weekly

I've lived in the Seacoast my entire life and never noticed this place until recently. Inside is mountains of local history in the form of books, curios, and records. You can also rent from the library and sit and read a 50-100 year old book in a nice armchair. Definitely stop by at least once.
