Dirty store, bad produce, rude customer service. Can t wait until we get a good store. I think the Deridder #50 store is the one they have forgotten about......
Why is the produce department so bad? I am really disappointed with their fruit most of all, it is either way under ripe or its way over.
I only shop at this store if I have to. This store is located in Eagle Lake Tx. It is way over priced, rotten produce. We have seen bags of potato's with liquid dripping out of the bag. Apples with fruit flies scattering as you move them. Then you have the service. It is a hit or miss day if you get a cashier who gives two hoots about their job. Their selection of items is poor and the store brand products are flaverless or just bad. My family will drive to other towns that are 20 - 30 minutes away before will go to this Brookshire brothers. I feel they take advantage of the fact that they are the only grocery store in town. I gave them one star because I can't give them a lower rating than that.
I went to the Livingston TX store and once again seen steaks and other meats that had turned brown. This is an ongoing event at this location. Whoever puts out the meat needs to check the products while doing so. I ended up getting chicken from the deli which is good but I really wanted a nice juicy steak.
To call this company a joke is giving them too much credit. Price gouging is commonplace as any shopper already knows. The only reason this corporation still plagues the industry is because of their locations in tiny rural towns where they can sell product at their insane prices and get away with it because there isn't any competition around for miles and miles. Thank god HEB is expanding into these territories to offer reasonable prices and knock out these despicable locations. From what I've heard, their corporate office is staffed with a ton of corrupt, racist family members and if that is true, it definitely shines through in their business model. This place should really try catering to the customer and worry less about lining their own pockets to build their new homes and swimming pools. I feel terrible for the store employees who have invested a significant amount of time and energy in this company. Treat your customers and employees better, lower your crazy prices, learn how to build a business. Otherwise you'll be closing down a lot more locations in the very near future.
I used to love shopping in the pecan foods but the employees (James)has gotten rude because I made one corporate complaint. Which is more than my right. I was asked why I continue to shop there and why don t I take my money else where.
