I was there for a basketball tournament. The venue is well organized and staff was clearly well-trained to handle the wide variety of clientele. However, not clean! Seats had what appeared to be chocolate (I hope!) smeared all over them. Staff was very helpful in mopping up a drink that someone had spilled. Concession prices are out of control. $7.50 for a small soda, $9 for a hot dog, etc. Eat before you go!!

As a native Brooklynite, I have a lot of emotions regarding this stadium. However, the venue itself is not bad. I have seen concerts, basketball games, and hockey games and it has been a pleasant time everytime. The beers and food are a bit pricey but that is to be expected when attending an entertainment event.

I had a great time at the Barclays center watching a NY Islanders hockey game at my company's box seats. The place was nicely stocked with food and beer. Perfect for a relaxing afternoon even if your team lost.

Slow escalators. Wait staff is inept. They were out of nearly everything . You cannot buy a cola because the soda is only for the drinks. Drinks are overpriced.
No hanging screens so unless you have floor seats, it is very hard to see. They do have BIG, clean restrooms.

Clean

Great place to go.
Parking or getting a car service after events is a bit crazy as you should arrange for a clear spot to meet but other than that is great experience.

I've gone here a few times for concerts and comedy shows. This place is best suited for events where sitting in a chair is the norm. For concerts, the place feels too claustrophobic to make it to the ground floor and into the pit. The venue in general gets the job done.

The Barclays Center is one of my most favorite places to go see a show. I live in Nassau County so its two trains to get there, unlike just one to Madison Square Garden, which gives us more time to interact as a group on our way there and back. It's a quick process to enter. They're pretty efficient. There are of course metal detectors and they wont allow you to take in a lighter, so be sure to bring matches with you if you're a smoker. That's something I think I'd want to know if I hadn't ever been here before. So, you're welcome. Lol
Another thing to point out though is that they for some reason DO NOT accept cash to buy alcohol, it must be put on a charge card (or debit card).

Amazing place to be. I feel so drawn to it. I wouldn't mind singing the National Anthem here one day. That would be a dream come true.

But, anyways the environment during games situations is just as magical as the inside. Any time I wall past the Barclay and I ask a question a member of the staff, granted they are busy making sure things go accordingly are just as friendly if you ran into one of them in the street.

Now here is the funny part, Im planning on trying to attend a game this year for the first time. Excited I am.

Went here very early to wait for GA for a concert. Earliest line up was at 9am (doors opened at 7) and staff was in good humor about the handful of us that showed up that early. Watched the line grow over the course of the day, very organized and well handled. When it got close to doors open they played safety info over a speaker. Safety check was quick and staff was ready for the huge line coming in. Floor had some kind of matting on it (to cover the court underneath) but the pieces didn't fit well together and saw a lot of people slide. Size of the stage was great for a concert up close and probably would have looked cool from further back too.

Interesting architecture.an interesting piece of architecture. Changes and gives pizzazz to the area. Dont like the way the (nose bleed) seats are angled. In this arena it pays to get the more expensive seats. Overall a great addition to the borough.
