Good place to see known/well known performers/bands, sports, and whatever else is going on there you want to see and that is there at the time. A slightly smaller venue than some others. The subway is conveniently right across, less then a few hundred feet away to get to go wherever you need to go to after or came from to get to the Barclays. Be aware of your surroundings while in Brooklyn being it is the city, but other than that it's ok.
Been here a few times and enjoyed what ever show I' be seen. The seats are a little skinny but no matter where you sit you get a good view
I have to say this is one of the nicest arenas in the area. The layout is simple to navigate and it is easy to get to via the train. There is a great variety of food as well. I will say that the space to move by the higher areas is boarderline dangerous and tight. All that aside it has great viewing angles so that's a plus.
Just met friends for coffee at Starbucks. No comfortable indoor seating.
I always go to concerts here but ladies night r n b superjam 2018 they has to fix the sound several times and everything even shut down for a few minutes I thought it would have been the end of the show but they got it together and Xscape kilt it
Great views from anywhere in the arena. Best prices for a sports arean in NYC.
I had a wonderful time at the Barclays Center for attendance of the Post Malone concert 12/31/2018. I don't think anyone else rated this place after the show lol
Very nice facility,l. I always walk past it but it was my first time in. I heard this place was renovated recently? It's very nice inside and has plenty of bathrooms. The arena was sold out but I had no problem using the restroom during intermission. Ladies room definitely had a line.
Exiting the facility was also pretty smooth.
Water fountains were conveniently located for cheap people, like me.
I live in a rival city and its always a nice place to catch a game!
Being a native Brooklynite, this arena felt just like home. If you have an opportunity to attend an event where 40/40 club tickets are available, please do yourself a favor and spend the extra cash for the 40/40 club! Even if you buy just the 40/40 club ticket it is well worth double its value. Unlimited drinks and food! Staff is on point, quick and friendly!
Was there for the Adrian Bronner fight. Had a great time!!!
It was a great experience. The seats we had were way up and didn't allow much room for feet. The water was 7 bucks a bottle. Ouch.
Really convenient right off the subway. Went here for a beer fest in October and it was amazing. Great event space.
I visited the Barclays Center for a tour, not for an event but I was able to see pretty much everything. This arena is state of the art and extremely modern, which I admire. It's extremely clean and the seating is comfortable as well opposed to other places like MSG.
I was able to check out the practice facility, the locker room hallways, the suites and the various bars in the center and it was an amazing experience. I think the best feeling was actually being on the court. I felt like a basketball player for a second haha.
Beautiful arena, friendly staff, the place was clean, the hotdogs were great and the nets won.
Great place to take the family for an outing
I recently went there to attend the Celine Dion concert. While making an attempt to seat myself, I almost fell. The seating arrangement is so steep that I don't know how people have not fallen and broken their necks. They should really provide a banister for people to hold onto. There is also not enough space for people to walk in front of you to get to their seat. They sit you so close that you can actually smell the breath of the person next to you. The sound quality was horrible. Will not go there again.
Wonderful place for nba games. The skybox is a wonderful experience
My first live game and it was great, went into double ot
Great Experience, however the women's bathroom had urinal why ?
Great place but the sound quality was terrible. They just turned up the bass all the way.
Food is EXTREMELY expensive. $6/bottle of water!!!! Luckily I came here with season pass but when I saw the prices for food....just insanity. And they're not made fresh at the price and quality is "meh". $70 for the food below.
Yale the 2/3 if you're going to grand central on the weekend. 4-5 doesn't run on weekends....
Went here for a basketball game. It was really fun.
I loved it !!! The staff alone makes you want to go back. Very easy to get to. If I had to say anything I was uncomfortable in my seat. My poor skinny knees, but it is totally worth it.
There's nothing wrong with the Barclays. I just gave it a low rating because I'm a huge knicks fan lol.
All I can share about is my experience. My wife and I bought two waters... $6.00 each... and they took the bottle caps leaving the bottles vulnerable to spill. I attend a lot of concerts and the typical price for water is anywhere from $3.00 - $4.50. $6.00 was highway robbery. We did complain to someone in a suit with an earpiece and he said that the seats had cupholders and that he would comp us another water if ours spilled, which was nice, so points for that. But, then we got to our seats... First, they were folding metal chairs with cushions, not typical venue/stadium seats. So, while the cushions were nice, these seats are not made for adults. They're made for humans that are either prepubescent or anorexic/bulimic. In other words, there's not enough room, side-to-side, for normal people. I am a larger person, but my wife is not (she's normal size), but throw 3 or 4 other men (6', 225 lb.) next to us/her and we're just squeezed in. And combine that with the folding chairs, so there's no arm rests separating the seats, and it was a very uncomfortable night. I also thought the viewing screens were too small for those of us in the back half of the venue. This place was obviously not built for concerts.
Other than that... the bathrooms were clean (at least before the show) and everything is pretty new since the venue is new so that's a plus. Overall, I would think twice before attending another concert here.
My family and I visited the center for the first time today to see the circus and it was fabulous. Its a beautiful and modern stadium and the location is perfect. more space between the seats would be nice--you have to stand up so people can pass by because there's no room if you remain seated.
I was really surprised how fast and easy it was to get inside with all the people there. we had tickets already and finding our section and seats was a breeze.
We are totally excited to go again later this year to see a concert and will definitely see the circus again next year.
PS. the negative reviewers are people upset over the basketball team, they should rate the center itself and stop crying about a loosing basketball team.
Enjoy the venue but upper seats are yilted too far and blind spots for hockey. Good for concerts and basketball
Brooklyn s one and only big arena! Been to ufc the circus and Robyn here! Very close to my house make it easy! $14 for a canned beer is maybe a bit expansive, but I guess everybody gotta make a daim
Went to see the legend that is Barbara Streisand. Was fairly horrified at the area around it - didn t feel safe.
First time inside of Barclays Center though I have passed by it dozen times to go to worksite nearby. Fabulous! Food and drinks overpriced but the center is clean, orderly and staff is friendly and nice. Went to first ever hockey game NY Islanders vs Washington and they won 3-1. Great game, saw fight on ice just like on TV. It was awesome. Will attend again.
Fun event, great arena staff, dumb policy about outside beverages for a conference
New arena. Good availability of concessions and restrooms. Awful setup for hockey with some seats unable to view large portions of the ice.
Saw Celine Dion. OMG! The crowd singing along made it an even more beautiful concert. That any human being can sing so beautifully is beyond belief. You must see her over and over and Barklay Center was fantastic. But seeing Celine with only 1900 people at CT Mohegan Sun was even better!
We took the train from Stamford, CT change to subway at Grand Central. Very easy to get too. Great place to catch a game.
Easy connectivity, ambience etc etc like many in world, but this place holds special n personal place in my heart. My younger daughter received her Master's degree here.
Definitively great place for shows and entertainment.
Wonderful experience. Great energy, the people was helpful, and the bathrooms were clean. Only small issue is that it was very cold inside the dome even with long sleeve on. Other than that, I'd say it was perfect.
They start the marvel live on time.the mercy is way too closely near when you enter security. Bathrooms on deck the top should have food and merch had to go all the way downstairs to get merch and food.
The event that I went was a great...but I must say that was very disorganized entering into the venue
Went and saw Monday night raw with kids and had a excellent time
I like the Barclays Center because there really aren't any "bad" seats. It's small and even in the far away seats, I could still see the performers fairly well. What I didn't like was the ridiculously high priced $15 drinks and the fact that they don't accept cash! Make sure that you have your credit card available for purchases. I ordered a vodka w/orange and cranberry and a 6oz. glass of wine. The drink was weak and my bill was $29.50! I enjoyed the show, but my experience at the concession stand didn't bring any smiles to my face!
Came here for 5 Nets games and a Swedish House Mafia show and I enjoyed every single visit! one of the many reason i love visiting Brooklyn!
If your going there remember always dress warm it's a wait to get into the Barclay, it be a wait on the VIP side as well.
THE place to watch basketball. I just wish the Nets would win more often...
My first Nets home opener was a total disaster, I mean first of all the seating was very tight on the top, you couldn't see anything from up there which I was hoping to get a better view from up there and lastly you could barely hear anything from the top of the roof....the arena is way too small to fit a lot of people I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
Excellent seating even high up, been here a couple of times enjoy going here over MSG.
Jay z had Great sound but venue has crazy beer and food prices.
They took my $150 cigar lighter at VIP security on 12/8/19 nets game and I ve written and called to get it back ALL MONTH AND NO ONE WILL GET BACK TO ME TO RETURN IT!
While the events there are super cool, the staff is not very friendly. Food options are decent but super American so not much variety there. Events are super sick!
Great security. Awesome soround sound. Great concerts.
Giant indoor stadium/arena, located in downtown Brooklyn, easily accessible by public transport (Atlantic - Barclays). The Barclays Center is multi-purpose, and hosts sports (Brooklyn Nets), concerts/music, conventions, and pretty much anything else you can imagine. Still relatively new, and well-maintained, generally clean, and quite a few dining options, with some that are pretty high quality (though also expensive). True stadium seating means most seats have a pretty good view - but the sheer size may mean even if you can see the stage, it may be tiny. Meanwhile, the best seats really do put you right in the middle of the action. Definitely helped revitalize the area, a lot to do in the immediate vicinity.
The venue is nice. Too bad they don't warn you ahead of time: There's no smoking anywhere! And you can Re-enter if you wanna get out for a smoke. Considering you can be stuck there for hours - this is extremely rude! :/
Great experience at ESLOne, but with third party events like that, lower the price of the food! Great venue though, really architecturally pleasing on the outside and the inside.
Tldr: great place beautiful but too expensive
Me and my brother were there for Coldplays MX tour concer couple of years ago. Great venue, professional staff. The building looks beautiful from the outside on Flatbush and Atlantic. You can also get there easily by train.
Nice accommodations and plenty of restrooms. Also Starbucks is located at the front of the building
Amazing venue, there is not a bad seat in the house, I would highly recommend anyone go and see a game or a show or a concert.
Absolutely Greatest Shows in Brooklyn take place at the Barclay's center
Close to MSG like amenities, space and upkeep. Need more information re: cashless and machine conversion. Great view of arena.
