I love my therapist she is caring and informative. She has opened my eyes to things I have never really paid attention to. I have become a more powerful human being in having boundaries and healthy coping mechanisms. The staff are amazing these people have become family to me for the past three years.

This place has been life changing to me and my therapist has helped me work through years of issues and she genuinely cares about what's going on. I'm sad to see the negative comment about the waiting period - yes, there is a waitlist (I had to wait a couple of months), but also they are very up front about that. It's a clinic, they can only accept so many new patients and I am unsure why people don't understand that. The waiting period was worth it because not only did I find somewhere with affordable therapy, but have had nothing but a great experience since I've been there more than a year. Even though it can be a little hectic with changes in front desk staff or confusion about appointments (thank God Missy is always there because she is the most wonderful human), it gets resolved. The good and help this place does outweighs the wait period and random moments of disorganization.

Its very disappointing to seewhatsgoing on with this clinic. I was apatientany years ago here and had a greattherapist for a time. When I raised some concerns about why they wouldn't refer me to an outside program to give me more structure formula diagnosis, theygot upset. The point of psychology is to help people. Be good listeners. World a colloborative team. Unfortunately they are turning Pepe away. This is one of the best clinics for therapy in New York, just sadly very poorly managed.

I've been seeing my therapist for about 6 months now and it's been life changing. I was referred to the clinic by a friend and have since referred two more friends. This was my first experience in talk therapy and having a professional, non-biased listener in my life has helped my anxiety and help me discover various beliefs I have as a person. Highly recommend.

This place has helped me so very much. The front desk staff are awesome and always recognize me and remember my name, the therapists are all incredibly patient and kind, the doctors are all professional and helpful. It s so hard to find a place as good as the Brooklyn Center and I m so grateful for them.

This place is unprofessional. I had to call weekly to check if someone will call me back, eventually on my third week of calling they told me there were no spots available. They are horrible with calling back.

I had an issue with a therapist who would check her phone while I talked and even took out a snack to eat. When I requested to change therapists, I was met with an attitude and unhelpfulness from Ms. Arroyo. I called to tell her what had happened in my sessions and she told me that i would hear from her in a week. I never heard back from this lady. As a MSW student finishing up my degree, I just knew that everything in how it was being handled and the way that she spoke to me (like I was a nuisance) was super inappropriate.
I had to call back myself 2 weeks later to check in on what was going on and was told that she would not change me and basically that I was lucky to even have a therapist (even if I felt more damage than good was being done) as the waitlist was long. I told her at that point that I would not be coming back. Not once during any of our encounters did Ms. Arroyo apologize: not for my experience with my therapist nor for dropping the ball and failing to follow up with me for over 2 weeks on an extremely important problem. Just trash. From the top-down, it is clear that each person is not cared about past a dollar sign.
I would not recommend, especially for those who are looking for some help and just needs some kindness and compassion. I know asking for help is difficult for some people and seeking help here might make that more difficult, so don't settle on your therapist. Avoid this place and continue to seek the help you deserve from an organization/person that truly cares.

If I could give this place a 0 rating I would. Seriously avoid this place at all costs. The staff is unprofessional and never call you back, you'll have to call them a million times yourself. Then for them to act as if you're annoying them. Oh and if you don't like your therapist or need a change for whatever reason yeah don't they will drop you. Go elsewhere if you need help, it's hard enough seeking mental health practitioners. This place should be investigated for medical malpractice.

Unprofessional staff. Scheduled an appointment and was given a slot 3 weeks later. They confirmed it and then at the time of the appointment no one called or showed up. When I called to ask for a reschedule I was given another appointment 3.5 weeks later even though it was a scheduling mistake on their part. They then refused to be flexible with their schedule or make good on their mistake by offering me anything sooner.
