Medical providers are careless. Won't call concern...

Medical providers are careless. Won't call concerned family and doesn't answer patients questions. Also when you actually get a response they get the patients mixed up and they say something different than what is documented.

I can attest to professional and excellent services I received at Brookdale Hospital. These services were from both non-medical and medical staff; from pre-op visits to discharge. Profound gratitude must be extended to Dr Wendy-Ann Olivier and her wonderful team of professionals who made me very comfortable through the entire process. Special mention is also given to Nurse Doris, who was very comforting to me in ensuring that my fears and nervousness were removed prior to my surgery.
Thank you all for a job well done.

BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE!!!! IF YOUR LIFE IS PRECIOUS TO YOU DON'T EVER GO TO THIS HOSPITAL. I am shocked that there isn't any organizations that manage and review this hospital for Patient Safety, (I'm sure there is but it's apparent that they haven't been reviewed because if so they would have been SHUT DOWN) My was transferred there because it was believed she a had a Stroke and needed testing that the previous hospital couldn't provide. We never been to this facility and was unaware of its horrible reputation and failure to provide care. My mom is also a Diabetic, a Double Amputee and receives Dialysis. She was in the emergency room for two days and never was given the testing, didn't have a room in emergency she was left in the hallway, wasn't hooked up to any machines to check vitals or monitor heart race or pulse or anything, she was only given food once in the two days there, and they waited almost twelve hours after her time to receive Dialysis and didn't her the full amount of hours of treatment! There isn't any Covid Restrictions in place, patients were so close in proximity to each that's unsafe even if we weren't in a Pandemic. The facility was filthy, disorganized, the staff is rude and unwilling to provide updates, information and care. My sister and I had to go there and have my mom self discharged in order to have her health addressed elsewhere. I've never seen such a filthy, unorganized, incompetent, negligent place in operation that's suppose to be there to assist in providing Healthcare. This place is a sad excuse for what they are suppose to be and claim to be. They say, "They are the Leaders in Healthcare" how about the "Leaders in Death, Malpractice, Negligence, Incompetence and transmittance of Covid!" We got our mother out of there in less time than it took for someone to answer the phone. You are better off diagnosing yourself, and doing at home treatments than to go there for the most minor of symptoms.

Highly rude, extremely unprofessional, several incidents of malpractice. nurses and doctors alike are extremely mean, will argue with you about your condition and/or concerns and will proceed to give you false information on almost everything, especially prescriptions. they told me that they were to put in a medication for me that I needed and never put the mediation through. there was once i was in with my sister, and a boy came in with severe pain in his leg. something in it seemed sprained or broken. he had all his information documented on a sheet of paper, but he couldn t get up to hand it to the receptionist, and she REFUSED to stand up and take the paper for him that was no farther than a foot away from her reach. I got up and helped. i listened to a nurse tell a man it was his fault he was sick because he was a drunk and druggie .
i will never understand how this place is still up and running. a majority of the people who work here do not deserve to work in the medical because they CANNOT and WILL NOT attempt to communicate with or respect people who are in serious pain.
please, if you value your life, you health, and your sanity, do not come to this hospital. they are not worth your time, money, insurance, ANYTHING!! stay safe!

My mother is currently in BROOK-DEATH for gallbladder surgery. Unfortunately this is where the ambulance brought her. I walk into her room an first thing I see is her big bottom lip. WAIT. WHAT. I asked the male aid what happened he says; I don't know. Ok, please go an get the head nurse. I had to go to front desk. Well everyone is now dumb as a bag of rocks. I'm contacting administration now because the next call will be Medicaid/Medicare, Medical board of ethics an the news.

The security guard was beyond rude, I asked a question in regards to seeing my boyfriend whom wasn t coherent and not responsive. She told me that visiting hours weren t until 2pm ( which wasn t displayed but however I understood) she continued by saying I m wasting my time just waiting here and there is a virus going around why do we all want to be in the hospital. Event occurred July 8th @ 940am.
I m sorry but that is not ONLY UNPROFESSIONAL BUT UNACCEPTABLE!!! I m sure no one wants to be at the hospital, actually I m quite CERTAIN!

I have been going to this hospital for about five years, and as it seemed to me before, there were more knowledgeable and qualified doctors here, now the quality of treatment has decreased, waiting times have increased, there is a disdainful attitude towards patients, it feels as if you do not care. There are a few doctors here that I can trust with my health, but there are only a few of them. What a pity, what a pity.

Horrible hospital. Unprofessional and unethical receptionist at ob/gyn. The only one professional is the guy at reception. They have no supplies for your ultrasound. So if you re looking for prenatal care look elsewhere. No ultrasound gel and no film for photos

If I could give them zero I would. I myself stay in the Emergency room for over 24 hours. The lack in real work is real. The security guards are either horn dogs on patients or nurses. You have security guards playing favoritism with their own kind. Nurse talk more trash then focus on problems at hand. In my time with them I have experience disturbing events. For example me coming out the bathroom another patient has my jacket on and laying in my bed. Nurse tells me doctor is coming, he didn't arrive until 3 hours later an me asking for a supervisor he then shows up to tell me he wasn't page. The lack of ccommunication. Don't get me wrong I met two nurse on each shift that was amazing. But most nurse are rude. Rolling their eyes or raising of the of the voice to patients who just trying to ask for direction. There's this one security I seen him push up real close an personal with at least two nurse during work hours.
I work for the state with people born with disabilities. So I understand the stress that comes with this type of job. But don't get in this field is patient isn't key. Then you mix Physic patients with normal individuals. Unsafe don't you think. Nurses come to work for one hour already talking about what time they taking break. I strongly believe discipline and training needs to be put in play. I would say have staff have badges to look good and have authority for the wrong reason. This not their passions. This hospital has to evaluate the people they have working for them. I totally understand the nagging an etc can be stressful but people come to have nurses an doctors make us feel better. So I just want to know what actions are going to be taken place to better the employees currently employed. Or do us as people need to cam up and start suing?

Well at least I can say that this hospital delivered great care to me. They saved my life. The staff here are very professional, and caring with a great deal of empathy and professionalism. I had surgery here on September 14th by doctor Hall and the care that I received from him and his team was was splendid. They worked miracle on me and was able to amazingly save my life. I can't thank them enough. The care that I received in the recovery room and from the beginning to the end from all of the staff was impeccable. I could not ask for more. They truly delivered. And with this I am ever greatful for them to bring me on the road to recovery...
