This homophobic company's web portal won't allow me to add my husband as a covered "spouse" but instead shows an insulting error message that reads: "Your Spouse cannot have the same 'Gender' as yourself." Three problems with that:
1. He does have the same gender as me.
2. Same- sex marriage has been legal in some areas of the US for a decade.
3. We notified BRMS of this issue more than two months ago and nothing has changed.
I'm a technology professional. The fix for this issue involves at most two lines of code. The company shows no willingness to resolve the issue correctly.

This is actually regarding when I interviewed for a position at this company. I seemed to know more about the company than the person who interviewed me, Matt Blanton. He did tell me up front normally he does not interview but had to because HR was in meetings or out sick that day. Like I said he knew so little he might as well have been asking me about B.R.M.S. He read all of the questions from a clipboard and just quickly scribbled my answers down. Clearly he was uncomfortable. The interview was very rushed and barely lasted five minutes! It is very interesting to see his LinkedIn profile lists that Mr. Blanton was a *bartender* before working for B.R.M.S. For eight years! And the only kind of schooling he ever had was bartendeing school. He must have an in at B.R.M.S. since he could be a benefits coordinator with *zero* experience.
They never did call me back and offer me a position. But I would have declined their offer due to the lack of knowledge Mr. Blanton possessed. How poor would the training be?
Also of note is that BRMS does not appear to have a company dress code, after seeing an extremely unprofessional looking very very openly gay man employed here. Let me say I am In no way am I against LGBTQ. Which makes no sense another reviewer called them homophobic! This man had painted fingernails, a silky pink blouse, and extremely tight purple women's leggings. Again, unprofessional in every way imaginable. He also said See You Tonight to Mr. Blanton as he was escorting me to the front door. Maybe he is the one who got Blanton his job there?

Anytime you call you can never get clear answers and they often process insurance claims incorrectly. Be prepared to waste hours and hours on hold.
