Great place to grab a bit more elevation than the Collingwood offerings. It's a long day, if you plan on staying overnight your only option is Canandaigua. Chalet can get busy on the weekends. Food is decent but can get pricey. You can grab lift tickets for $69 cad from a ski shop in St Catherines, details are on Bristols website.

Bristol has many steep, long runs compared to other western NY ski areas making for an exhilarating experience. Also the terrain park is great for learning new tricks and has been put togeather beautifully.

Very fun ski resort!! Renting skis and getting a locker for the day was very quick and easy.

Be sure to have transportation arranged since convincing a taxi/Uber/Lyft to pick up from this resort took several hours and (on Sundays) there are no public transportation options.

Without a new experience what would there be to tell. First time skiing with family and Bristol Ski Resort was the place to be lololol on the Bunny hill. It started with slips, fear and falls but ended with speed, faith and skiing. I enjoyed it so you can let Bristol be your starting point as a newbie like me or pro like me......lolol

Wonderful resort with both challenging and easy trails to fit every skier/rider. Their express lifts and long trails definitely maximize your time on the mountain. Terrain parks are well suited for every level of freestyler. They host many events which are fun to watch when you need to rest your legs. Great dining and a new bar too for your Apres needs.

Went to Bristol recently for the first time in 10+ years and got a two day lift ticket and two day snowboard rental. It was a good experience, but we also got lucky with it having snowed over a foot the day before. They apparently only groom at night, so you want to get there early because, by the afternoon, riding conditions had deteriorated significantly. I also wish the waffle house on the mountain were open later.

Bristol is one of the better small mountains in the Northeast. If you're in the upstate area it's really your best option. However. Their lift ticket prices reflect that with prices you would expect to pay at bigger mountain s. Even their Saturday deals require you buy 3 tickets for a decent price. You constantly see people trying to peddle the extra ticket they had to buy.

A great place for Scouts (BSA) to learn how to ski or snow board. They do have occasional special deal packages just for that, which also includes special pricing for adults as well. The facilities are great. There are a couple of different buildings that are available to host your activities. The slopes are nicely groomed. They have the capability of making the own snow if mother nature decided not to make enough.
This is a great place!

Don't forget to visit Bristol during the autumn to take a relaxing chair lift ride(or hike!) to the top. Plan to spend at least a few hours walking the trails and taking in the scenic vistas. Find your favorite spot, bring a picnic lunch, and absorb the views.

Hoyt and toit. They have a great hill that is well maintained, but the downsides are: the large lines, the people who feel entitle(which are abundant), and the ever impending pressure put on customers to spend as much money as they have to be squeezed out of them. I remain neutral on this by saying their mountain is the best, but prices and ambiance are not there.

I don't have FB like everyone else. And my wife says everyone is giving Bristol 1 star reviews. So I decided to end that. Everyone is mad because they say the snow sucks, and it's the worst they've skied on ever. Well I hope you are all Blind, because if you look around.... there is absolutely NO snow anywhere within a 50 miles of Bristol. Tell me how you expect Bristol to have great snow when it just started to stay freezing during the day just over a week ago. The fact that they have as many runs open as they do, I'm shocked. I honestly think the skiing is great, in comparison to what we have been dealt for weather this winter. Thank you Bristol for having great snow and skiing conditions for the very warm winter we have had so far. Keep up the good work!

They do an excellent job making snow; we can count on using season passes even if the winter is warmer than usual. The ski instructors are helpful and encouraging, and it's a good resort for someone with no experience to try out a new sport. There are a good variety of trails for those of all levels. The lodges are showing their age and are not always warm enough for spectators.

Just got back from my first time riding at Bristol. I'm native to the Syracuse area and am usually going to Labrador, Toggenburg or Greek peak but am very disappointed with the status of the terrain parks. They look the same as they did 15 years ago and are rarely set up well. Bristol has the best terrain park within decent driving distance from Syracuse or Ithaca and that's all me and my friends wanted to ride all day. Other upstate resorts need to take notes because it's honestly embarrassing that they haven't realized the draw of a good park.

Besides the park the rest of the mountain is super fun. So many side hits, we were going crazy.

Best skiing in Western Upstate New York! Family atmosphere; friendly customer service; constantly improving slopes, lighting, and lodge amenities. Decent ski shop at base for quick and necessary items. Demo center at the top. Pub, food, and seating with great views of the mountain. Lifts run quickly, so there are rarely long lift lines.

The slopes and facility are great, been visiting for over ten years but I will NEVER enjoy how over priced Bristol is.

Bristol: 4hrs for $77+

-or-

Drive to Gore Mnt ($20 gas), ski for 8 HOURS ($65) drive home ($20 gas).

It's an interesting balance of price vs convenience. I love skiing, regardless.

Been coming here for 46 years. Every year I see improvements. New trails, snowmaker, grooming machines, new cafeteria, and so many other improvements. Bristol by far is the best place to ski in western New York.
