I purchased a diamond from Brilliance last spring for over 11,000 dollars. After several weeks, when I was still not able to get any information as to when I might get the diamond, I cancelled my order. Then, I never could get the refund processed. I was put in touch with the COO Jonathon, who kept promising me that my refund would be forthcoming and at one point even said it had been processed on my credit card. Still, no refund was ever processed through my card. He then told me he had to do a "test refund" for a small amount before he could process the real refund, the first time in my life I've ever heard of such. (The "test refund" came through after several days) When I checked online reviews, I saw that some other customers had similar experiences dealing with this company. Finally, I turned the matter over to Chase, and let them dispute the charges, and I got my money back that way. I'm not sure I ever would have gotten the refund were it not for Chase taking action. It was a very stressful situation which dragged on for weeks. I would definitely not recommend doing business with this outfit.

I will not ever recommend Brilliance to anyone! They gave my husband and I a very hard time. It s totally not worth it. I paid $500 for the design deposit our wedding bands and we did not get the design we wanted. They kept on prolonging. Once we finally got the wedding bands mailed to us, it wasn t what we asked for. We had to send it back and when we finally got them for the last time, it still was not perfect like we initially wanted including the engraving missing. When we told them about the bands they ignored us. So my husband opened a dispute at PayPal. Brilliance is the type that if you are happy with your bands everything is good but if you have problems with your bands then they will not be there to help you and that s the sad part. I m putting a review because PayPal dispute just covered the payment without the design deposit. The design deposit is not covered and brilliance tried to trick us. We were told we would get the design deposit only with a mutual agreement to avoid a bad review. Since we already put so much effort we decided not to accept the mutual agreement and do the engravings on our own. Stay away from Brilliance!
I have transferred money to Jonathan the owner of the company as a payment for a piece of jewelry and that was September 2018 and after 6 months of IGNORING MY EMAILS AND CALLS he decided that he can't manufacture the order and agreed to refund the money AND TILL NOW I HAVEN'T RECEIVED MY REFUND, IT HAS BEEN A YEAR

We had our big day without our wedding bands due to the behavior of these guys, due to Brilliance wasn t able to overcome an issue started with a failure in renderings done on our engagement ring. Instead of solving the issue Brilliance started a fight. Customers which already paid $500 wedding rings design deposit.
They did a great job with searching and providing the perfect diamond. By starting the engagement ring design, we annoyed Brilliance by being overwhelmed by the possibilities of designs with the engagement ring. Got so many different ideas by Brilliance. Some rings we liked we asked for more detailed pictures which haven t been online.
Brilliance confirmed the ring size for two slightly different renderings. But by doing calculations based on pixel counting I realized the proportions weren t as confirmed. By showing that fact to Brilliance we got treated like sh.t. Proportional correct renderings are important for decisions! I asked to speak with a manager. Got a call by the COO. He started immediately to argue. He took it obviously personal that his brother got blamed, maybe it s cultural topic. But he should be smart and act like a business man. He wasn t able to accept they made a mistake, which could happen. How solving issues is showing a lot about how customers are valued.
The COO wasn t able to say honestly sorry. I put pressure that I will stop the business and just take the diamond and that s it. He said a sorry which felt more like f you . And promised to solve the case and take over to speed up the process. As we wanted to do the package: engagement band and wedding bands he told due to urgency of the engagement band he is doing first just the engagement and afterwards the wedding bands. Which we accepted.
Regardless if Brilliance doing great work on the bands, how they handle issues is showing a lot of their values.
After putting a review Brilliance did the wedding bands. But poor performance. The women wedding ring wasn t a copy of the engagement ring. It was more brother instead of a twin. Size and color of the diamonds was different. The men band wasn t done matt as ordered. At least they fixed these issues. The aligned engravings on the inside, we asked for a date, wasn t done even after we sent the bands for the rework. Additionally, the certificate of the rings aren t correct. We are waiting now since more than two months for a correct certificate and getting only poor excuses: You didn t receive the email, I (COO) sent it already as few days ago .
We recently got the updated certificate after I put the review online again. The certificate was brand new, not the date the COO told he already sent it out. Liars!
Forget about judging by reviews on the Brilliance web page, they only leave the good ones. Mine got deleted immediately. Wondering why there are barely bad reviews?
We asked Brilliance for small compensation to get the money for the missing engravings. They refused and asked for a mutual agreement. I prefer to share my experience instead of getting paid for removing my bad review. We even gave them the chance to come up with a 3D draft design of an emerald ring to show that they are willing to do better (of course for a special price). The COO wanted to have a conversation before. They should just use the engagement ring with some small easy changes. No need to talk before doing a 3D draft.
We opened a dispute on PayPal, but the $500 design deposit (250 each band) isn t covered. Brilliance is offering a full refund of the PayPal amount. Since Brilliance is constantly lying, we don t trust them anymore. We were asking to get the money compensated for the engravings we did with a jewelry store in Germany, which Brilliance wasn t able to do. Now they are opening once more a trap to get the remaining $500. At least a mutual agreement will be needed to get the full refund for sure.
These guys are not able to run a trustful business like this. I can t recommend working with them.

Maria took my out-of-state call. She was very polite and patient in working with me and how I wanted the setting to look. Three days later I felt comfortable enough to order the custom setting over the phone, verbally giving a stranger the number to an $18,000 purse. The setting was only $1,500 but there was room for shenanigans if the person chose to do so. She didn t, the organization didn t, and three weeks later I had my custom setting on my front porch being delivered and signed for. Absolutely a painless process and such a relief to get what you wanted when you re looking at a picture online and live 700 miles away. Thank you, Maria. You are a gem and I hope you are able to make many more people as happy as you did me.
The yellow diamond at brilliance.com was so stunning! I was skeptical about ordering from this site after reading some of the reviews, but the price of my diamond was definitely lower than other vendor s diamond with equivalent quality. It came before the estimated arrival date and communication was very clear for my order. Would buy again.
