I really thought that this hospital had more professional people especially at nights north west 9 is a real shame there is a nurse named Morgan who has the worst attitude that anyone in the world has, for example one of the things that he did intentionally enter 3:30 In the morning singing a song to the room, what she did is enter the room intentionally turn on lights then in that way the patient wakes up abruptly also allowing patients from other beds to have their TV on all night. It seems a lack of respect and a total lack of education since a nurse has to be willing to help and not to do things intentionally as was the compartment of this Girl her name is Morgan and honestly she does not deserve this job maybe she can be in another because your lack of professionalism prompted me to write this comment

My nephew was brought in on a 72 hr psych hold, which we as a family fought for bc the Stratford police didn't care after 3 wellness checks. They complain that "too many people have called about this patient, what is it that you need". Should we apologize that people care about a patient? We've left multiple messages for his car team that are not returned. I have call log receipts for evidence. I was listed as his family contact but not one person has called me, and I left 13 voice-mails, his bio mom 10, his grandmother probably 20. Yet nothing, and his state of mind is worse.

Do not provide any type of meal service for fathers of babies born here. I had to go out every day and get my own meals and leave my wife with our newborn. No way I was paying for the cafeteria. St. Vincent's provided meal service for the duration of our stay with our first born.

Been in the ER with my elderly father for 24 hours now. Seriously folks, do not bring older people here!! I feel horrible for anyone who finds it difficult to explain themselves or has memory issues. Not an ounce of compassion from the day staff. Nighttime was better but slower. The lack of communication with patients creates confusion and animosity.

If you plan to have a baby, GO HERE. I cant recommend it highly enough. Initially, we were a little concerned our practice switched from Yale New Haven to here. However, it was honestly the best decision we could have made to deliver our first child here. Things obviously did not go as planned and they made us feel comfortable through the whole process. Experts in their fields. The nurses were all so nice. Like, love their jobs and you can tell, really just cannot believe how nice. Almost annoyingly nice. So grateful to have had them. Also, they have a nursery, so you can ship your child away for a few hours of much needed rest. Not all hospitals have this! Lactation specialists always available which also was invaluable. 11/10 would have another baby here.

Current visitor policy states 1 visitor allowed between 10-6 however being told my family member cannot have a visitor in and it s possible they might have emergent surgery. It s very upsetting situation and feel like healthcare lacks compassion and empathy due to its fear of Covid. When the one visitor she would have is fully vaccinated and wearing a mask. Absolutely unacceptable.

I had such a horrible experience giving birth to my daughter. The nurses AND doctors in labor and delivery are full of attitude. I had one nurse really ask me if I m feeling pain on the 7 pain scale when I told her the number because I had the epidural. I told her and many doctors that the epidural was ran out on my left side and the button I hit wasn t doing anything to my left side. I was told by the nurses they weren t doing cervical checks on me because my water broke and that can cause infection however they let me sit in my broken water for over 32 hours which isn t a good thing.
One of the nurses was name Yael. She was the one telling me these things then will tell me the doctor is coming then the doctor won t show up. She s a very good nurse as far as position changes but everything else no, she didn t change my catheter bag her whole 12 hour shift or give me my morning medication. The doctor WHOS name I can t spell but she had the turban on she was very dismissive about the pain she was giving me during my cervical exams. Finally after not dilating and sitting in my water which BTW I asked the nurse Rachel if she can clean me up some so I can feel comfortable and her telling me It s only going to keep coming out anyway (Which BTW another nurse Brittany cleaned me up when I asked her she was very nice because she saw that my boyfriend and I were about to clean myself up they re trying to avoid infection but aren t doing anything to avoid infection) for 32 hours I had to get a C Section.
They were nice and the nurses in Women s Care were all PHENOMENAL! They cleaned me up, made my bed, changed my catheter, talked to me.
Listened to me and the things I said about the nurses in labor and delivery. The techs in women s care were all so great as well. I hate how I had such a bad experience in labor and delivery because I don t and I am not returning back to Bridgeport hospital for anything.
I am even going to part ways with my
OB whom I had
For over 6 years due to my experience. Just awful. And the people I told in there said they heard the same things about labor and delivery that cannot keep going on. It s such a shame this is happening to women.
ITS NOT OKAY!

The good thing about this hospital is that they re kind to you but good attitude isn t enough..You ll wait for 4 hours only to be seen for 15min & or less (Not exaggerating these numbers) and you almost always end up needing to come back or find another hospital or doctor because they get things wrong the 1st time. Extremely long wait time + extremely short time with the doctor = often wrong diagnosis even though they sound confident.
