Buyers Beware.

Sydney has no doubt a ruthless market and agents to suit it.
I was made sign a purchase contract after a price negotiation to later find out that the signed contract and deposit cheque were only used as leverage to negotiate a higher price with another buyer.

Stay away from pre auction negotiations with this agency in particular: absolutely unethical.

Christopher at BresicWhitney was extremely responsive and helped us to find our investment property. He was professional, proactive, prompt and friendly.

These guys have always been fantastic. We have rented with them for a while now & will continue do so. The whole team are always friendly, happy to help & empathetic. Always efficient & communication is always clear.

We were drawn to the agency initially for their superior digital marketing - their online presentation, driven by clever photography and working with good stylists means that their properties are always eye catching and appealing. One of the other reasons we were interested in this agency was that as potential buyers we found their agents very good to deal with (James Gooley in particular who I think has since left). As our campaign progressed Lincoln and Duncan ensured that we were kept well informed even with us being overseas. They had a huge number of people through the property and worked hard to uncover people with real buying potential. Coming up to the auction, they gave us good advice in relation to the best approach and worked hard to bring in a pre-auction sale for us. Thanks Lincoln and Duncan.

Charging my brother hundreds of $ from his BOND money for some DUST cleaning reasons.

My company The Flooring Emporium has been dealing with Bresic Whitney for over 10 years and I have to say they are one of the most professional real estate agents in all of Sydney. There staff are well trained and incredibly friendly to deal with. Issues are dealt with swiftly and owners, tenants and trades are dealt with great respect. I highly recommend them..

Sellers and Buyers stay away from this agency! I was prospective buyer and they did sold property without notifying me that someone made higher offer.

This will sound petty but it really got my goat. We have friends that bought houses through different realestate agents, and upon moving in were gifted champagne or monogramed towels... we bought a terrace in paddington, at no small expense, and were presented with our key, in a scrappy cardbourd box, with a post-it note saying congrats... We felt like we had a friendly relationship with out agent, and they really go for this up market image, but this treatment was really disapointing, especially given the commission they would have made.

We bought and sold properties through BresicWhitney, and in both cases could not be happier with the outcomes. They were professional to a T, keeping us apprised of developments and realistic about what we could expect. In addition, they provided us with tradesmen contacts who were unfailingly efficient (and reasonably priced). I can't recomend BW highly enough.

We arrived at our booked and confirmed "private inspection" this morning (wearing masks, gloves and with our own sanitiser) to find the street full of dozens of people. When I queried with the agent what was happening I was told we could enter in 10 mins as couples were taking turns to be allowed inside. 30 mins later while still waiting for our turn the police arrived and shut down the viewings. The agents claimed we had just turned up all at the same time. In fact when the police asked each couple individually it was made clear that a large proportion of us were given the exact same time, 10.30am. The rules have been made very clear by the government for some time now so how did this occur? When I phoned to tell Maclay (who invited my husband and I at 10.30am) that I was very upset especially given that my husband is extremely high risk as an asthmatic he hung up on me claiming that I was being heated. I was not heated, I did not raise my voice or use bad language. What appalling arrogance! In a customer based industry one would think that potentially placing a clients life at risk, during the worst pandemic in our lifetimes, in a known hot spot, is something the client may be upset about! We are cash buyers with considerable funds to spend. We will never ever deal with this agency I suggest others be very wary.

I have been dealing with Theresa as a property manager and she has been prompt in responding to any concerns I have raised, as well as all maintenance queries being promptly brought to the landlord with an exceptional turnaround and in a friendly manner. My other dealings with BW Darlinghurst have been pleasure, from the time of first viewing my apartment to being very comfortably settled in. Highly recommend.

As an investor and throughout my career I have dealt with numerous real estate agents. I do not recommend anyone or provide references. All I can do is speak about my own experience.

BresicWhitney has just sold a lovely three-bedroom terrace house for me in Paddington. The property had been tenanted since I purchased it seven years ago. Although the tenant had been excellent, and the property was still in excellent shape structurally, the house needed a coat of paint, the decor was out of date, and overall it was looking a bit shabby.

The first time I encountered BresicWhitney, some years ago, I was a prospective purchaser and the underbidder at an auction arranged by Ivan Bresic. The team subsequently followed me up diligently, advising me of properties in which I might be interested, and arranging for inspections at times that suited me. I found their approach, from their advertising, through to the presentation of their staff, and the presentation of the properties which they were selling, to be highly efficient and professional. It was for these reasons that I decided to appoint them as agents for my sale.

My idea was to put my house on the market "as is". I didn't have time or energy to organise it to be redecorated. Ivan told me that I should have the property redecorated, and that his personal assistant, Annelies Dolle, could project manage the makeover for me. Annelies did all the organising. She had the property painted she even recommended a painter who is good at choosing the colours had the carpet replaced, had blinds installed, had builders in to fix a few little things, had the garden redone, had the place professionally cleaned. Annelies then organised an interior decorator to do a complete fit out in contemporary style. She told me I could make a better choice with the carpet. I really appreciate people who are honest.

The property was ready to hit the market 14 days after the tenant moved out no kidding.

Over the course of four days Ivan had 29 groups through. I decided to accept a good commercial offer on day 4 of the campaign and exchanged contracts that evening. And this is in a falling market.

Throughout the process I dealt with Ivan, Annelies and Kate. They were always available, always returned calls, were invariably polite and pleasant to deal with, and throughout the whole process provided advice that I found to be candid and astute.

Anyway, I think they earned their commission, and deserve five stars in a bottle of champagne each. I couldn't be happier, but don't take this as a recommendation. It's just a story about my experience.

We could not recommend James Sloane and the team at Bresic Whitney enough. We recently received really devastating news and James went above and beyond to help us. He helped soothe our worries and took a massive Burden off our shoulders. Thank you again James for being so compassionate, you re a legend and we look forward to dealing with you in the future.

Terrible experience with Guillaume Fumat BresicWhitney.
Beware people. We have been lied to, manipulated and robbed $810 by this real estate.
We have been shown a house 1/28A Norton St Glebe NSW 2037 by Guillaume. This is nice and almost new-built townhouse, however, don't be fooled by its shine. They will try to get you to pay for the holding deposit by using scarcity sales techniques like we did and then when you do your research and find out what you have get yourself into they don t refund your money. Be really careful dealing with these people.

Hands down the most professional real estate experience I have experienced. I recently bought a house via Ivan Bresic and his attention to detail, understanding of what I was looking for and customer service was 5 star. There was never a moment where I was chasing them, they were always one step ahead of the game. So when the opportunity arose to sell my place, I did not hesitate to list with Bresic Whitney. I was selling my home in Redfern, and had a bad dealing with McGrath's Real Estate agent, I cancelled my contract with McGrath and used Bresic Whitney to sell my home. At all times I was dealt with pleasantly and with respect. Not only that, when the McGrath real estate agent became vindictive and threatened to sue me, Ivan Bresic helped me understand the real estate jargon I needed to fight McGrath. Bresic Whitney helped me right to the end in my case.
Integrity and Honour are the words I would use to describe them.
Very highly recommended.

Katie Moriarty's unassuming, yet professional manner, made the experience of recently buying a property in the Inner West such a positive one. Her knowledge of what was happening in the market was always current and she responded promptly to any queries or concerns I raised about a particular property. Katie listened patiently to what I needed and also to what I was hoping to find in a property. She is an asset to the BresicWhitney Darlinghurst sales team.

I was interested in purchasing a property in Artarmon, but the agent was completely hopeless with returning my messages and calls - and they didn't get back until over a month later when it got sold! All the other real estates I've dealt with typically respond less than a week to my messages and promptly organise an private inspection via either email or phone.

We have been tenants in a Bresic Whitney managed property for almost 2 years now with Melissa as our Senior Portfolio Manager.
Throughout this time Mel and the team have been fantastic, any issues we have had they have been quick to fix and very professional and responsive.

I would thoroughly warn anyone using Bresic Whitney to rent. Much like other users reviews, their poor service and lack of care is really quite disappointing.
I will expand on my experience with them.

I wanted to rent a property from them, I sent over a dozen messages, emails and calls over the course of a week to the agent, Julian Guiney, and the company. I even mentioned that I would take the property.
I received no correspondence back and no further information to my enquiries.
I called again the day prior to the inspection and was told the agent would contact me back I got a generic email with no answers to my questions or enquiries.

The next week I kept calling, (agent never picks up or responds to messages), the company said that the agent would call me back that same day, did not happen, and that the property was still available I told them that I would take it, I just need to talk with the agent to clarify some details.

I called again the next day, still unable to talk to the agent, but they went to talk to him and I get a message telling me that it was being signed for that day.

I told the receptionist that I wanted a call back from the agent or a representative to give some constructive feedback to improve their service given my ridiculous rigmarole. I was told I would get a call back and guess what happened no call even 2 weeks later.

Totally unprofessional and uncaring company and agents, I would discourage anyone from using them to avoid the stress and unbelievable lack of communication.

Corey was fantastic, communication was brilliant from the very beginning and I felt like I was listened to and respected. Easily the most attentive and considerate property management firm I've been involved with.

I rented a residence through BresicWhitney for four years and my agent was Corey Rotunno-Grant. He was incredibly fair, pleasant and professional to deal with, and I was constantly impressed with his responsiveness, diligence, understanding and efficiency. All maintenance issues where promptly dealt with, any questions we had were always answered quickly, and on top of all this, Corey was always so friendly to chat with. I've had the pleasure of dealing with Bresic Whitney for nearly 15 years. I purchased my property from them, at first to live in, and then to rent out as an investment, which they have managed for the last 10 years. I have found them to be professional, responsive & diligent throughout those years and have never had a problem. When we lost tenants recently they were quick to organize a refresh of the property (painting and decorating), and had it leased to new tenants inside a month! Sorry guys, it the worst realestate and staff I ve dealt with. An inspection was due to take place Wednesday 6pm, I drive an hour in peak traffic to get there. Park my car, approach the site only to have Merridy advise no one can view the property as she forgot the keys. Really!?!? You had one job to do and you failed miserably. We then receive a text message advising to forward our email address for updates on new inspection times and price changes. I followed instructions and received an email starting new inspection Saturday from 1pm to 1:15pm, so I arrange to stay locally in a hotel to minimise my travel as I was already in the area. By chance, I have a look at RealEstate.com and the property has a status of deposit received !!! What on earth are you people doing playing with people like this!?!?

Your agency is genuinely a scam as I called up and no one wanted to take my calls.

If it s database collection you re after, then be upfront and please don t waste people time like this. It s cruel and unfair....

Nic & Belinda are sensational. They helped us buy in a situation where there was a chain of buyers and sellers all waiting on a number of conditions to be satisfied before exchange. They helped all parties through a difficult and stressful period and got everything across the line.

Worst agency to deal with so far in Sydney in my 4 years of renting in the city.

Initial interactions were good when we were signing the rental agreement, but 8 months into the lease it took us 4 emails and a phone call to get the managing agent to reluctantly inform our landlord that the bathroom fan is not functioning properly.

Overall a very unpleasant experience; it feels like they care more about saving money than taking care of the property for the landlord, let alone taking care of the tenants.

Not recommended.

I'm a little baffled by some of the reviews below and feel like they must be talking about a different company. I have dealt with Bresic Whitney regularly over the last five years as both a tenant and landlord in the Potts Point area and can't speak highly enough of them.

B.W assisted me on multiple occasions when looking to buy property and found their agents (particularly James Peach) to be friendly, professional and very communicative - following up with me exactly as promised.

I have been a landlord twice with them and also found their property managers to be excellent. During this period I've worked with Peter Taylor, Julian Guiney, Angela Woods and Donna Chu and they have all been exceptional. They found me very high quality tenants for my own property and kept me completely informed at all stages of each transition to a new tenant. On each occasion my property was rented at the first open house. I confidently left all aspects of the management of my property in their hands (bills, negotiations with tenants, repairs and upkeep). As an agency I find their management of my property to be very professional, friendly and efficient, supported by clear documentation and communication.

I have also been a tenant in a property that was managed by them. They negotiated successfully on my behalf to keep a pet in the apartment and were generally extremely easy to deal with as a leasing agent.

As a result I had no hesitation in going back to them to rent my apartment out again recently and as expected did a great job, including handling a quite difficult applicant. They have given me consistently good service and I would happily recommend them to others considering using them.

job had a problem of leaking ceiling for a month and they didn't really care about the problem, they just wasted our time and were totally unprofessional, the bathroom door doesn't close anymore, the carpet in the main room was wet even if we were putting towels in the doorway to keep the problem in the bathroom, water was coming from the lightbulb too.. Part of the wall in the main room is all mouldy, the leaks damaged our furniture, and when trying to get a discount for the month we couldn't really use the bathroom, they just did the intermediary and get back with the owner's answer saying " no, it's not impacting your life".. Really?

Our 9 week search for a place was a rollercoaster ride and at times really challenging. We were dealing with other real estate agents and were frustrated with the lack of transparency and "tricks" that we encountered. The BresicWhitney team, however.... were open, generous with their time and honest about meeting our expectations.

Romany Brooks, has been a shining star. Her straight forward nature and honesty made us feel instantly at ease and helped us secure a killer apartment. She made the whole offer to exchange process simple and with as minimal stress as possible, along with countless laughs along the way. She is seriously amazing and has such an incredible energy, we love her!

We also worked closely Lincoln Westerman after receiving one of his market updates on a Monday morning and ever since he went above and beyond to secure inspections, give us insight into buyer interest, listen to my complaints, counseled me through losing properties and everything in between. He helped us out so much and really guided us through the whole process that we were fresh to, we were so impressed by the time he invested in us. We loved his hustle.

Guido was open, professional and communicative.
We met Guido at an open inspection for a house that didnt suit our needs. Within weeks he approached us with an off-market opportunity. The house was beautiful and we were able to secure the property within a matter of days. Guido facilitated a building inspection on short notice, at a time that suited us, and was in constant communication. He has kept us in the loop regarding other similar sales in the area, which has reassured us of our purchase. Very appreciative.

When I decided to sell my much-loved apartment, I interviewed 3 local agents that I had seen around. Although I felt that each of them could do a good job, I felt completely at ease with Melinda and decided to go with her. She came to our interview totally prepared (with information ready for me about sales in the area and a marketing plan). She went through everything clearly and I felt I could ask any question and not feel stupid. And I could ask the same question several times over the next few days and have her explain it again. This was particularly important as I was on my own in the sale - no partner to discuss it all with.

It was always a pleasure to hear from Melinda and she kept in touch with me virtually every day (and sometimes a few times a day). I felt I could toss around ideas with her and she would give me pros and cons so that I could make informed decisions. She never pushed me one way or the other but enabled me to see all sides of different situations. Everything ran smoothly to the point that I sold in a few weeks at a good price.

The negotiation with the buyers (I didn't take it through to auction) was quick and straightforward and I was kept informed at every stage. I felt totally "in the picture", a very different situation to that which I found myself in when I came to buy my next home.

Selling a property is fraught with stress and nerves - it's a waiting game. I think, however, most people just want to know what is happening and where they stand and Melinda excelled in this. It was a pleasure to deal with her and I recommend her to others I know who are selling.

Campaign was flawless - house sold $700K plus over reserve and, after my bank lost the title deeds and settlement was delayed, Nic was totally calm and forever supportive and reassuring. The man is a champion and if it wasn't for Kate, Nic's backup, I don't know where I'd be now! She, like Nic, was always there and a constant help through what was, for everyone I'm sure, a stressful experience.
