I have worked with Brekke Real Estate for nearly a decade now. I have found them to be an organization of the highest integrity. They have been very professional in all of our dealings, as well as responsive, responsible, and proactive. I have worked closely with Sandy Turner and Tina Johnson over the years and I commend them on the way they represent Randy Brekke and his firm. He is fortunate to have them on his team. If you are in need of a wonderful real estate sales & management firm, then save yourself some time, skip the searching, and hire Brekke.

Please do not do business with this company.

I viewed one unit, applied, and was approved. I was told I had a certain timeframe/deadline to make a decision. I called on the last day of my deadline to tell them that I wanted to accept the lease terms. I was told that they rented the property out from underneath me to somebody else because I took too long to decide. During the same phone call I was told that Brekke was evicting another unit that day, and I could have that unit when it was ready. Before I even moved in I told Megan and Tina that I had concerns about how dark and unsafe the property is at night. Megan s response was well if that s your only concern I don t see why it s a big deal . First of all, shouldn t the safety of your tenants be important? When I continued to expresses my concerns about my safety and the lack of light leading to my unit I was met with even more animosity from Tina. Trying to get this company to even be remotely nice and provide basic rights was very difficult. I ended up breaking down on the phone with Tina. While crying I had to tell her a very personal story about a trauma I was dealing with in order for her to have a tiny bit of compassion and understand where my concerns were coming from. Tina finally told me that they would put up lights, and asked if I needed anything else such as window locks. Any time I ve ever talk to Tina she s been condescending, vindictive, and rude.

I moved in in September 2018. They didn t put up lights until I complained for at least the third time about homeless people showering in the sprinklers at night, a peeping Tom, and my personal belongs being stolen. The lights went up in the beginning of this year (2020). It wasn't until over a year after I moved that they installed lights. In the meantime, I have had to spend my own money on solar lights to help light up the walkway for myself and my elderly neighbor. Unfortunately, the solar lights I had to provide have been stolen on at least four occasions by homeless. Brekke has also called me to harass me about having cameras up. I put up cameras after waking up to someone staring over my fence at me while I slept. I have genuine safety concerns, and I feel like this company is continuously harassing me and intimidating me. I just want to feel safe in my own home.

As one of many long time members of the Turlock Fitness Club on Geer Road, it is with great surprise and disappointment that we contact you today. Since you are a locally owned and operated firm, understanding the importance of relationships in our small communities, would seem essential to your decision making here. Joe Moitoso and his 2,200 fitness club members deserve better management and treatment in this current situation you have created.
Please consider coming to a "win-win" agreement for this well respected and cherished Turlock business/club. In reading your web-site, your team is clearly capable of assisting Mr. Moitoso and his club/community members in arriving at a solution that does not result in the termination of his business and positive contribution to our community in Turlock. Joe is a fixture in Turlock and so is the love for his dedication and service through his club ownership.
Adding insult to injury, is the fact that the club you are considering to replace our beloved gym with is of poor caliber and its reputation precedes it as such. Certainly, our 2,200 members will not consider supporting or belonging to a club of this merit.
Our community dedication to Turlock Fitness Club is based on respect, relationship and integrity...and in reading your website you also have an affinity for these qualities, as quoted below:

Worst management ever. Properties are over run wit...

Worst management ever. Properties are over run with roaches stray cats everywhere and even worse on site managers. You can tell the 5 star reviews are from themselves and not real tenants. Mr. Brekke is a p.o.s.

My wife and I were good tenants of Brekke for four...

My wife and I were good tenants of Brekke for four years. At the end of our agreement we moved out of the state, but we were nice enough to find someone to take over. Almost a year later they had not returned our deposit and when contacted they said they just sent it (to our old address and they knew we had moved).

When we got the check it was for 1/3 the original amount and had the name of the new tenant on it as well. Obviously we cannot deposit the check so we have to send it via mail to the new tenant who had already taken 6 weeks to get it here in the first place.

If you re thinking about signing a lease with Brekke...I would take your business elsewhere. They expect you to be timely, but do not practice what they preach. They expect you to pay them money, but they don t give back what s owed to you. Last, they were rude on multiple occasions.
