If I could give this company negative stars, I would.

As a first time homeowner I have had a terrible experience with this management company. First of all, they are TERRIBLE at responding. I mean I've literally gone 2 months without receiving a response from them even when I've followed up multiple times. When I finally received a response, I was actually instructed to damage building property because they didn't want to do their jobs (break my mailbox open because they "couldn't" get a key that was never supplied to me.

They switched Jerry Beno off of our building after multiple complaints, bringing on David Kraus, who is somehow even worse.

If you have any say in your management company whatsoever, please look elsewhere.

Overall excellent experience using this company. Always responsive and everyone was professional and friendly. Adina does a great job following up and getting things done on all fronts of property management. I highly recommend Breakaway Management if you are looking for property management in Chicago.

This company took over in April 2019 from another company and our property management rep and the support staff at the office have been just awful. Not only did they not bother to re-brand the HOA documents, they also failed to respond to email messages until I got the condo board involved. They tried to prevent us from moving out on a weekend day saying they didn't have anyone to watch the doors, but the HOA regs state nothing about any day restrictions only that moves must occur from 8am to 8pm. Now that we have leased our unit they took us off the email blasts, but we still OWN the unit. This month they decided to take out the HOA fees on 8/30 for September with zero notification. The fee is supposed to be debited on the first of the month. This company has terrible customer service, zero communication, and should be avoided at all costs. Our condo board chose them hoping a company based in Evanston would serve our Evanston property better. That has not proven to be the case.

Very responsive and professional! Highly recommend. Sent a plumber to my apartment the next day and the issue was resolved to our satisfaction.

It took them over a month to fix my front door buzzer.

If they manage 830 W Bradley, they're doing terrible job. The guys on the top floor rear unit are out of control. Raucous drunkenness several nights a week keeping me, several doors down, awake. Doesn't say much for the owners, does it?
