I went in with a 3 day pass to check it out. I would have paid the first day as the staff were very welcoming. The gym at my Veteran facility is often crowded so I use the Y for my therapy and to grow healthwise. It's great. No complaints

My family and I really like this Y. The facility is always clean. The atmosphere is what keeps us members of the Brandywine Y. Everyone is always helpful. While this is my home Y, I tend to use the one in Wilmington, DE during the week- I work in DE. I really like that I'm able to work out in 2 locations, depending on my schedule. However, my family uses this Y exclusively, especially during the summer months.

Great place to work you body, mind and soul.

The Brandywine Y staff and members have been very supportive and encouraging in helping me work towards achieving my fitness goals. The members and staff are willing to assist when they notice that I may not be familiar with a particular exercise or piece of equipment, and are always polite and encouraging.

The Brandywine Y is a very inviting environment. I look forward to spending more time there!

The Brandywine YMCA is a great place for all members of our community. Promoting healthy living and youth development, the Brandywine Y offers great programs and great facilities. Our community teen's have civic engagement opportunities, while our preschoolers have a super dynamic and enriching program led by a strong staff of people who care for their participants. Top if off with programs for the entire city such as Healthy Kids Day and the Halloween bash, the Y is the place to be!

Great gym. A little pricey but they give cheaper rates based on your income and tons of perks. Wife likes Zumba and body combat. Free babysitting while you work out. If you just want a tread mill and some weights there are cheap gyms. If you want a gym with a heated pool and hot tub this is the place. As always you get what you pay for

I absolutely can't believe the incompetents. We have been calling the Y for 2 Weeks For Child care for a 4 Year old. (Pam Lathbury) who handles this age group refuses to give us a call back after repeated calls & messages left. We have called two different people at the Y about this problem & they said they would pass it on to Pam. Pam if ur hired to do a Job & cant handle it.Then u should be fired. This issue is time sensitive.

Never trust their website for an updated list of when they have events. It is routinely wrong and you show up expecting something, and they will more likely than not, not have what you went in for.

Have been going to the YMCA for just under 20 years, and I won t be going any longer. They treated my girlfriend in a disrespectful manner when I tried to sign her up for a membership (with a racist tone, as she looks very foreign). I wish I remembered the managers name, but I left too abruptly.

I m writing this because I feel this particular facility is getting too much negativity and needs a positive light shed on it. Everyone s entitled to their opinions, here s mine.

Overall they are excellent. There s plenty of equipment, great classes, have good childcare, and the most flexible parents night out. They have a nice Olympic sized pool and a hot tub/hydrotherapy area. The price is tricky; the Y is geared toward families. If you go single or as a couple, you probably paying about $90 p/m. You go as a family regardless of size, you re paying $110 p/m. Factor in the babysitting while you exercise, the date night(s) between this and other Y s, it s a steal. You can t take advantage of either of these benefits not being a family, it doesn t seem worth it.

One neutral point is they don t have a zero entry pool, but that would be a huge change and not expected. You can always go to the WC branch if you need this.

The negative is that every summer (like now), the have A/C problems. A day or two without isn t a big deal, but for the past 3 years it s taken 2-3 weeks. Knowing this is a reoccurring problem, they should handle it before it s an issue, like in May.

HORRIBLE experience at this YMCA. The swim lessons are extremely overpriced and the staff giving them had their own kids in the pool and was paying more attention to them than my child. Had to end my membership and find another facility with a pool because it was terrible. They don't care about their members.

The YMCA soccer program was a great jump start to my 4 year old son learning the sport! The teams were great size around 8-10 and they loved playing the games on Saturday and scoring goals! We had a great experience and enjoyed meeting additional kids. Also with COVID felt safe with protocols in place and since outside had no concerns.

The Brandywine YMCA is a great value! The Y is a huge asset to the Coatesville community. The therapy pool is so relaxing and the indoor and outdoors pools are a great place to spend time with family. I am enjoying Tuesday night yoga with the new instructor Melissa, she's awesome! And Friday morning Yoga is reliably great. Upstairs, there are always plenty of treadmills available. Friendly staff!

Not a good first impression today dropping off my ...

Not a good first impression today dropping off my 7 month old in the child watch room. There was a lot of children and minimal staff who seemed slightly overwhelmed. I was gone for 30 mins which isn't very long. And mind you, most parents say this but my child really is a happy baby and enjoys interaction with others. So I go to pick her up, this is our first time and she is crying. I noticed as soon as I walked in. Now, I do appreciate the staff attempting to comfort her however... I left to change her and realized her sock was missing. This, as tiny as it is, is a red flag for me. It's winter time, 30 degrees outside and you can't keep one sock on her? She doesn't walk yet , she might sccot a little bit. . So my question is what where you doing with my child and how did you loose her sock? I went back and asked and the staff looked for 45 seconds and said they they will put it in lost and found if they find it. Really? It didn't just disappear.

I think you need to hire more staff during your peek hours in the event that there are too many children per person. From what I was told there is no ratio rule during the "babysitting". Which is really interesting because I thought that was a law. My expectations were set to high and so yeah I'm disappointed. I wanted a little more warmth and nuturing which I didn't see or feel.

Could be first time mom issues but now my guard is up which sucks because I really was hoping for a different experience. And I'm usually very easy going but I was not impressed today...

After going back a second time with my husband to give it a second chance we have decided the YMCA child watch is not for us.

The Brandywine YMCA is a great place to go to in order to workout and relieve stress. From the smiling, friendly faces at the front desk to the instructors, it is a feel good place to be. I love the Pilates classes and feel that my body is getting stronger. The gym has everything you need to get in shape. It is truly reasonably priced for everything that you get. I recommend you to try it to better your life!
