Braeger Chevrolet Review

I am a mid-twenties Milwaukee transplant living on my own in the city. I bought a 2011 Cruze Eco before I to Milwaukee so that I would have reliable transportation while six hours away from my family and many of my friends. Even though it's relatively new, I obviously still need to get the car checked up and repaired occasionally, and I love bringing it to Braeger. They allow me to drop off my Cruze at 7am before I go in for work and pick it up as late as 6pm. As a teacher, this is so important for me. They even have offered me shuttle service if I need it.

The staff is always pleasant and helpful, and they even take care of things I didn't think to ask for (in a great way: I was in for an oil-change once, and though I hadn't scheduled the repair, they took care of a recall issue so I didn't have to make a second appt). I'm always so pleased with the work that's done, and my car is always much cleaner when I leave! Thanks, Braeger Chevy!

One of the worst places I have gone to get service done at the 2 times I have been there. The first time they made me wait about an hour for an oil change. Today was the second time with a guy name Steve, he made me wait another hour for paper work to just end up telling me he would do the paper work on Monday. I won t be going there no more and I don t recommend you get any service done here.

I worked with Leo when purchasing a new Traverse. We were specific in what we wanted and while Braeger did not have the exact model that we were looking for, Leo went out and located a few different options. When one of the options didn't work out Leo pursued another option and we were able to get a great deal on the exact model we were looking for. Even though I was traveling for work, Leo kept in touch through text and email and was very responsive during the entire process. We asked to pick up the vehicle on a day that he wasn't available but he still coordinated with another salesman, Doug, who stepped in and took care of the vehicle delivery. I would definitely recommend Braeger Chevrolet and the upfront and honest staff from the sales to the financing personnel there.

Edit: Lake Chevrolet has taken appropriate measures to ensure that this issue was resolved. Ultimately, I think the point-of-sale pitch was misguided, but Lake Chevy eventually worked with me to ensure that the vehicle matched the description. Lake Chevy seems to be a responsible dealership.

Original Post: My wife and I recently purchased a 2020 Chevy Traverse LS. Our salesman, Anthony Hansen, told us during the test drive that the vehicle has lane departure sensors, backup sensors, and automatic braking if you approach another vehicle too quickly. During the test drive, it was obvious that these features were not included. However, while inspecting the vehicle after the drive, Anthony told us that there was a trailer hitch port (2 square receiver) behind the bumper cover. We discovered after buying the vehicle that there is no trailer hitch connection on the vehicle. One of our must-haves was to be able to tow, so we went back to Lake Chevy to sort it out. I met with Anthony and explained the issue. He said, Yeah, I get it. You only have a receiver port behind the panel. You want the mount and ball. I told him that there was nothing behind the panel and offered to show him. He said, No, that s OK. I know what s behind there. I ll go talk to someone. I stopped him and insisted that I show him. I opened the panel and he said, Oh there s nothing there. Hmmm. There is only a metal bumper absorber bar. Anthony spoke with the Parts Department to price out the hitch and wire harness and quoted $450. I asked if Lake would cover all or part of the cost since I was told on two occasions that there was a 2 port. Anthony walked away, came back, and told me that this vehicle sale was already a loser deal for the business and that there was no flexibility at all in the price.

I had been reviewing the Braeger website for some time and corresponding with Judd Durant on some Equinox and Impala models. I had asked if they had a really good deal to contact me as I was planning on purchasing car by July. Judd contacted me and let me know about the sales going on with over $4000 off MSRP. I decided it was time to get serious so the wife and I came down from Sherwood, WI to check out the sale.

Judd, Jim Schlicht and Lisa Klimowwicz were all very personable and real honest straight shooters. No high pressure and they could not have been more helpful and pleasant to deal with. We bought a nice Impala LT and remain solid GM customers.

This place ruined my credit and "accidentally" shredded my paperwork when I was already aproved, so I had to re apply and didnt get aproved. If I could I would rate this place 0 stars and I would not recommend this place to nobody ever

I ve tried going to their service department multiple times, since it s the closest dealership, and never had a good experience. Took my truck in for an alignment and an oil change at noon and was told by my service advisor (Steve) it would be two hours. I said I ll come back later, but it has to be done before five. I stressed it had to be done by this time and he said, no problem, I ll note that to ensure it s done.

I tried calling to check the status at 4:30, but was transferred and then hung up on. I arrived at 4:45, waited 10 minutes and then was told it would be another hour. Finally got my keys at 5:50 and they didn t even do the oil change. I ll now be late for the tickets I had for tonight. Also I the uber I paid to drop off and pickup is wasted because I didn t even get all my service completed.

For my next truck I ll be going to Heiser Ford since I ve always had terffic service there.

I love my new Equinox I got at Lake Chevrolet. The whole experience was quick and smooth. Mike Fuller was very friendly, sincere and knowledgeable. The next time I need a vehicle, Lake Chevrolet will be the first place I Will go.

Everyone was very helpful, found out my needs and wants, kept everything cost effective. Great experience all around! Bryant was my sales rep. and sold me an awesome car.

After telling my salesman of the problem I was having with my 2017Escape he spoke to the service manager and I was called to set up service appointment.
I brought my car in and was treated very well by the service person Caleb.
The car is now running like it should.

My experience started via text and email after finding Braeger through my company's Benefit Hub. Everyone was responsive and respectful in their communication. I especially appreciated the option to text to learn more about inventory and pricing. That made my test drive and face to face interaction very easy. The dealership is modern, clean and very customer friendly. Our sales rep, Willy, was great also-very helpful in identifying my needs in a car, and not at all pushy like some sales reps can be. It was a great experience from beginning to end.

The buying experience at Braeger was excellent. Everything went very smoothly. My only complaint is that they didn't budge on the price and they offered no perk what so ever. I mentioned a $50 dollar gift card would be nice but they offered nothing. A think it would have been a nice touch since I paid them full price.

Bought my car here months ago - good condition used civic, got a great deal compared to national sale prices with a lot of online pre-research. Friendly and professional salesman too!

I recently purchased a vehicle with the help of Bob Howard at Braeger Chevrolet. This was far and away the easiest and most convenient experience I have ever had when purchasing a vehicle. My appointment with Bob was less than 45 minutes. After test driving the car, Bob and I negotiated a great price for the vehicle. The process was smooth and hassle-less. Next time I need a new vehicle, I will be giving Bob Howard at Braeger Chevrolet a call, and I would recommend the same to anyone else.

I've always had great customer service working with Braeger Ford's service team and they have kept my 2014 Ford Fusion running like clockwork. I have been especially impressed with the way their team continually follows up with me to check on how the car is running, keeping me up to date on things like part recalls, when my next recommended oil change or service check is coming up, and offering free rides while my vehicle is being worked on. After 2 years of working with them since buying my car I have not had one issue with their services to report.

Complaint Terrible customer service. Bought a vehicle in November 2018. Transmission broke in mid-February 2019. Was only read basic package warranty because my 2012 Chevrolet Captiva was to "old to make the other warranty packages worth it". When I purchased my Captiva I traded in my old vehicle. The vehicle traded in was used in a criminal act in Chicago. Still receiving letters from Chicago about the vehicle I traded in November. I would never recommend anyone to shop at this establishment as they have done minimal to help me in any situation.

I purchased a used premier suburban and the buying process was long and full of mistakes that I had to correct. Then when I got home I noticed the remote and 4 headsets were missing. They admit to having them at one point but they don t know what happened to them. They are now hiding behind the as is contract to say they don t have to replace them even though they were listed in the description and were supposed to be included. Awe full experience.

Great service - car was repaired in short order and repairs confirmed in advance.

2nd car I leased with Breager. Everyone there is nice and easy to work with. Would recommend them over any other Chevy dealer in the area.

Great people listen to what I said and works within my budget

Deceptive sales department. Purchased a used truck looking for a safe vehicle for my son. CarFax was read to me by the salesman and a previous accident was never disclosed. Bodywork needed was downplayed and covered up. Other issues with the truck which somehow passed their inspection. Was promised a gas card which required several follow-ups before actually receiving it over 2 months later. Tried to work out a return a couple of days after purchase when the accident and amount of bodywork was realized and they would not help.

It was one of the easier new car buying experiences I've participated in. Appreciated that the staff realized that the first responder discount could be applied after not being eligible for the GM supplier discount. Saved us a few more dollars.

The service center feels like going to a spa for your car. You drive up and someone comes running out to greet you. The waiting room is more like a hotel lobby, in a good way. Complimentary soda, water and coffee all make the experience more enjoyable.

But atlas, I digress. I booked online and requested a loaner. For you see, the appointment for the oil change and tire rotation was during the day and I unfortunately am not a senator's son and am forced to work nearly 8 hours a day. When I arrived and inquired about the loaner, the response I received? "No Loaners Today" ... So I wait.

Was it a big deal? No. But with so many options and ways to communicate to me via text, phone, email, postcard snailmail, fax, telegraph, or simply yelling at me while I drive by, ONE might think I could get a head's up so I can plan accordingly.

Next time - send a note. "No Loaner For You!!"

Good morning, I just want to pass this through to Braeger Chevrolet , I love the vehicle that I have and I want to thank Larry for all the help he has been to me in getting me into a car. The only thing I di not like is when asking about the financing of the vehicle that at all I was told that this company charge interest by the day so every day I get charged interest. So if I pay on my due date, I would have paid for a 30 day of interest and so every month I get charge $9.93 but at first it was $10.13 per day. I plan to have this vehicle paid off by next year around June or July of 2017. I wanted to go back through you for my next vehicle but after this experience I don't think so and I really don't think I would recommend anyone. But you are a good company and I really love your maintenance service and how everyone treats us when I do come there.

They said I have bad trasnmsisson.

I was coming back from a road trip, and my car broke down in Milwaukee. I was towed here and I have to say that my experience was good with them. They helped me get back on the road home, was reasonable with their diagnosis of my car, and was courteous the entire process.

Best dealership experience in my life!!!! Drove almost four hours up there for a traverse for my wife and it was more than worth the drive!!!! Shopping for new vehicle can be very stressful. My experience at Lake Chevrolet was any thing but stressful. Everyone was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful especially Mike Fuller. If your looking for a different or new vehicle I would highly recommend Lake Chevrolet and Mike.

From our initial contact with the salesman, all the way through finance, we had a great experience. The salesman was very easy-going, never making us feel pressured in any way. He was very knowledgeable about the car we purchased and had even looked up/checked on several things we had discussed when we drove the car so that when we picked it up after we bought it, he was able to address them. We hadn't even asked him to do this, he just did it! Finance was great. They provided information on our options and also gave us information to take home and review. We didn't have to make a quick decision right there.

Presentation of the car on the lot was much better than several other dealerships we recently visited and when we picked it up after purchase - everything was perfect.

I will definitely check out this dealership next time we are in the market for a new vehicle.

I have been a loyal customer for over 25 years. I have purchased and repaired my vehicles there because of the quality service and customer care. My recent visit has me looking for another place to go. First my appointment for an oil change and repair my rear defrost was at 2:00. I didn t get out of there until 5:30 and they didn t repair the rear defroster. I did ask them to give me an estimate on this work and when I got there it now cost more. I asked them to check my air in tires and when I left I had to stop at Fast Tracks because my tire pressure was still low. Not happy with the service

I brought my Cruz in for replacement of a faulty part. Part was replaced and I was on my way in very little time. Scott and staff very courteous.

The 2014 Silverado is by far the best truck on the road. Chevrolet got everything absolutely right and I ended up paying less for the vehicle that I actually expected to.

Looking for a car, came from quite a distance just to be told that the car I was looking into was sold. I am looking on their site now and it's still available on top they didn't seem like they wanted to make a sale. Quite disappointing.

I contacted the dealership by phone on Monday and discussed with WIllie the vehicle I was interested in. I then visited the dealership on Wednesday where the negotiation on the vehicle price was very straight forward. I normally arrange for my own financing with vehicle loans but gave them an opportunity to finance the vehicle and their rate was more than competitive with my local credit union and the process was so much easier and simpler doing it all there. There was never any high pressure and I felt very comfortable with the whole process. Got a great deal on a really great car. Thank you.

Several years ago, I had issues with a vehicle that I purchased from a different dealership. The transmission broke 86 miles over the 6,000 mile warranty on that vehicle. The other dealership would not do anything for me so I took it to Braeger because I heard good things about them. I worked with Doug and Roman at the time and they did everything they could to help me and were able to get my vehicle working again. How they handled that situation prompted me to return when I ready to buy last year. I will never forget how well they treated me and tried to be as accommodating as possible. Thank you for treating me like a customer and not a paycheck.

Not the typical used car buying experience. Well designed facilities and pleasant atmosphere. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. No high pressure selling techniques. Very happy and satisfied with my SUV purchase.
Referred my sister-in-law a few days later. Same experience and result. She's also a happy and satisfied new "used" car owner.
