This is a well designed, lovely sport centre. I mainly go for a swim but have found the water too cold. It's lovely that everyone is swimming in lanes, but actually a lot of adults who normally attend bowling pool can not do this so the first lane needs not to be so strictly controlled.

Had big shoes to fill replacing Richard Dunn's but I would say it's done a pretty decent job of it. My son goes for swimming lessons there and enjoys them. Not sure I personally like the unisex changing rooms a few more showers might have been better but definitely worth a visit.

Looks good ,good facilities but , no cafe,if your sat in reception waiting for any length of time it's absolutely freezing as doors are continuously open.i know speed bumps are a good idea but be carefull if you hit any here above 2 miles an hour, stand by for takeoff, also no seats by pool so if kids are there for lessons or swim club take a coat as you have to sit in formentioned reception.

I use the pool and glad to see that it is split into lanes. However I feel that it is a shame that there is no cafe available. I see that many people would benefit from a cafe. However i like the place. The pool is s great temperature and the staff are friendly

It's no replacement to Dunn's ...

I mean come on was the architect thinking this through properly or was it Gavin from autoglass?

Considering the news that happened at dunnys / Appleton would of thought privacy would be key here .

I have to say the council have smashed it with this place. The gym is really large, with lots of different cardio and weight equipment, and they ve made it work with COVID so you can still come and get a workout done. I like the pool too. I know people miss the slides but it s perfectly good for those wanting to swim lanes. Clean and tidy. Super impressed.

Been a member since Richard Dunns, greatly disappointed, since it open have only been able to book one class, everything full booked every week, I was told by staff people are setting their alarms for 12o,clock and booking online, but the sign up in reception said 175 miss classes last week. People obviously booking and not bothering to turn up, selfish.

Delighted to see Sedbergh sports & leisure centre re-open today. The gym equipment is now spaciously arranged in 3 separate rooms with loads of hand sanitizer and wipes available to clean down the equipment before and after use.
The staff are really helpful and will spend 5 minutes with you before your session to explain the new rules.

The gym is OK (it's warm) the equipment is not as good as Richard Dunn's, the downside is that the rooms for classes are too small and with booking ahead system you can't get in, we are now looking for another gym with accessable classes

Don't rate this place. Took my child swimming, very boring, just two square holes, and you have to swim around the edges of the pool. No activities to do or anything. Very boring, not worth the money

Not a patch on Richard Dunn Sport Centre and in no way a like 4 like replacement. They did it right 40 years ago with a sports centre fit for a city. Sedbergh is more like an average towns sports centre.

Being a new building, it's still looking clean and shiny, I hope it stays so.
The downside though is, the fun slides, like "the Cobra" which used to be present at Richard Dunn, has disappeared.
Went swimming with my son today, he asked about the slide but wasn't very disappointed because he played with some kids he met there.

There are other fitness stuff going on in the building but I haven't used those yet.
Generally, I'm not disappointed.

A nice place for individual swimming, but not recommended for large groups or lessons as there is not enough showers or space for changing. Only six seats available to watch your child from if they have a swimming lesson.

They destroyed Richard dunns sports centre for this garbage. Kids lost out on an activity pool with slides.
A very dull gym, terrible pool, would advise people to find a better gym and the council should apologise for removing a fun leisure activity for young families
