We had such a great time coming here in October to see the fall colors! Summer has so many activities, and winter obviously has skiing and so much more, buuuut...dont forget about taking the skilift to look at the fall colors!! You can walk around the trails once you get to the top. Our family had so much fun taking the lift, walking around, and taking pics!

Brilliant Ski resort that's a gem of the Midwest, nice staff, competitive prices and good slopes. I've been here twice to skii for 4 days and had a great time. I'd recommend heading up to the top of hemlock for a nighttime drink

This place Is awesome! Would highly recommend that you come here. Family friendly and great for all ages. Good food and bars and great hills for skiing and snowboarding. Well groomed and fun at night skiing. Even a outdoor pool and hot tub. Water park is nice. I have nothing to say bad about this place.

I can only speak for the spa as that is all we came here for. It was amazing. I was part of a bachelorette party and they had everything set up to make us comfortable and relaxed. The champagne and chocolate covered strawberries were amazing! My massage and facial were great. The spa has lots of great amenities and all the staff were wonderful.

We've stayed here multiple times, enjoyed it. This most recent time there was an issue getting our condo ready in time. We weren't able to check in for at least 6 hours after arriving -- and then the lock on the door needed replacing so we couldn't close the door securely until the next day (when security and repair guys both showed up, at separate times, to collectively fix the problem). We were not accommodated by Boyne or given any comps from management -- which was frustrating. A coupon for a meal, or a pass for the arcade or avalanche bay would have gone a long way towards helping us keep our kids from going stir crazy while we waited to get into our room. Will we be back? If we are tagging along with friends who want to go there, maybe.

We have been taking our children to the Grand Mountain Resort for years. We simply love this place. The beauty of the grounds and northern Michigan is amazing. Fall is our favorite time to visit, the colors are magnificent. The rooms are clean and mostly updated, kids love the water park. So much to do. Very family-oriented. We will continue to go to Grand Mountain Resort. Highly recommend!

We actually stayed at the blue green resort, very nice, but it is not pet friendly. Boyne mountain resort is pet friendly, most all of Boyne city and most all of Petoskey is very pet friendly.

We stayed in the Boynehof, which was alright. The two "queen" beds (though I would swear they were doubles, not queens) were very bouncy, though, so whenever someone would move the whole bed would bounce. I did like the soft blankets. It was nice to have a large T.V. and a little kitchen sink and refrigerator, but there was no microwave. The Trophy Room has great pizza! All the employees we encountered were very friendly. The attractions at the resort are pricey, like $25 for 2 trips on the zip line. We enjoyed our complimentary ride on the ski lift.

My children and I went to Boyne for Christmas and we ended up in a room I didn't reserve but the staff was amazing as usual and we got an upgraded room. This is a wonderful Christmas memory we will never forget

Outstanding accommodations!! The mountain villas are great, very modern and full of comforts that make you not want to leave your room. Restaurants were cool and the atmosphere of the shop district after dark was unforgettable.

Lots of runs that are kept up and groomed. Crystal mtn an hour or so South is comparable though smaller but better priced. Boyne bar scene is great, but I could fly out West and ski and stay for just a few hundred dollars more.

It's a very beautiful resort and we had a great time. Staff was great and there was so much to do. We rented a gold cart and took a tour of the grounds, rode the ski life, ate Smores provided outside and went to the water park. We stayed at a condo which was very nice. The only issue was that they are owned by people and the neighbor was hammering out their cement floor at 7 AM and woke the whole family while on vacation. We talked to the front desk and they said since they own their condo they can't do anything about them choosing to be so noisy that early. We paid a lot of money to visit so that was a little disappointing. Other than that, we had a wonderful time.

Highly disappointed in this resort. They recently advertised a special package rate for golf, stay and evening in Petoskey. Three days after receiving the advertisement from Boyne by email I called to book. The regular website showed availability. Knowing weekends were likely to be less available, I requested a Sunday and Monday night stay. Sure enough they had availability, but quoted a rate twice as high as that indicated in the email. When questioned, the resort person said the email said "starting at" and since availability was less 3 days later, the price was higher (not likely any bookings in 3 days for the Sunday Monday combo in a 3 bedroom cottage). Such bait and switch tactics should not be condoned (if not outright misrepresentation), especially by a resort of this caliber.

Always awesome! Accommodations are great, nothing fancy, but nice. Several restaurants and bars on site. Golf, ski, zip line, horseback riding, Segway tours, bike rentals, beach, water park, etc.

I absolutely love this resort. I've been going there for several years now with my family, and I've always been impressed with the staff's friendliness, the variety of stores. The mountain was beautiful and well maintained. The hotel was clean and suitably luxurious. 5stars

The skiing conditions were great, the staff are very helpful and informative. My only complaint is the valet parking, at the end of each day I had to hunt to find someone to bring my car.

Love how easy it is to park and shuttle right up to the main lift. Prices aren't awful, considering skiing seems to be a sport for the independently wealthy. All of the staff are helpful and friendly. Equipment and terrain are well maintained and safe.

A few weeks ago we got there in there evening and were able to rent skis for the next day at no extra charge. This was great because we didn't have to waste time in the morning. This week, I was in the cafeteria and the woman at the register remembered me from my last visit. Hopefully it's not because I was a jerk... Anyhow, the personal touches really make this a great place to ski.

My first room at Boyne Highland smelled like a giant Beef Jerky Stick, the room was way outdated, and way at the end of the hallway. My second visit at Boyne Mtn.., my room was so tiny (it was supposed to hold 6 people) that we couldn't move around comfortably. Hated It. It was a little embarrassing for me since I bragged about how great skiing was, invited first timers to the Mtn and shoved them in a tiny room. Not fun. Plus, when I arrived I explained the first visit and they still put me at the end of the hall and on check out day, they commented on how I should've mentioned it at check in. Really? I've think I had enough Boyne for a while.

Wonderful vacation!! Entire family had an amazing time from 8 to 80. There is so much to do and experience. My kiddos loved the nightly s mores and movie night.
We went during the summer and it was beautiful. Played golf, rode the ski lifts, visited the lake. Can t wait to go back during ski season. Will definitely go again this summer!!

We were there during the week in July (Wed-Fri) and they ran the Hemlock chair lift from 4-9pm each evening. We, along with many others I noticed wished they would have offered it for a longer period each day. There are several walking and mountain biking trails on the top of the hill which I loved going down. The best bike trail in my opinion was the light blue trail. Do not attempt if you have never biked down a mountain before. However, if you're an experienced rider, you'll have a blast. Pick up a map at the Adventure Center at the bottom of the hill. They will expain some of the trails even if you don't rent a bike from them.
