Couldn't do many of the activities and events offered, due to CoVID 19. Bit still enjoyed with my social bubble. Kayaking, Deer Lake, trails, chair lift. It was all great. Accommodations we had were a bit dated but good place to make memories. Will probably visit again in winter.

The Mountain Grand Lodge One Bedroom Three Queen Suite was updated, clean and spacious! The complimentary ski valet made it very convenient and easy to stay in the lodge. Highly recommend this beautiful resort!

Great place for fun, lots to do. It was our first time for 4 nights and we loved it. Staff treats you very good and the restaurant's have really good food. Tons of fun things to do for all ages.i
We will be going back for sure every year if not 2 to 3 times a year. The down hill slopes where amazing.

If you enjoy paying more than what it costs to ski/snowboard in the Rockies or Adirondacks, then come to boyne. You will enjoy the steep rates of $85 to $95 for a measly day ticket which grants you access to a tiny 500ft hill. Don't kid yourself, this is not a mountain.

I was just lucky enough to have a 3 day pass from 1/22 through 1/24. The natural snow, coupled with the fantastic snowmaking made both mountain, and highlands, an amazing experience. I stated at Mountain day 1 and skied trees in Disciples Ridge. Day 2 was spent at Highlands in Amys Run and rough. Glades at North Face are powder. Day 3 was Meadows runs, FIS glade, off the side of Meadows into the trees. Day 3 was powderfest. The customer experience was great. My experience at the Disciples lift was awesome. I am thanking Joel specifically!! Be proud of your employees. They value the customer. Thanks Jim McKee

This place is wonderful. We stayed at the grand lodge, visited the Waterpark, and skied. Everything was beautifully decorated. The hotel room was cozy and a great view of the slopes. We were just a few steps Away from the water park, but our room was still quiet and comfortable. The water park was awesome, with a variety of activities for all age levels to enjoy. The food at 40 acres was fresh and delicious. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be going back to Boyne!

On our second night staying at the resort we received a phone call that my wife's father had unexpectedly passed away. We packed all of our things and immediately headed for home. Our friends who were staying behind, returned all of our rented ski equipment and explained the situation to the front desk. It has been nearly a month and Boyne Mountain will not work with us to return any of the money from our stay. I have spoken to several employees at the resort and have made no progress. The people I have personally spoken to are disrespectful and insensitive to the situation. My family and I only go on one big vacation a year and this was it, and unfortunately we were unable to spend even half of our expected time there. I will keep trying to work with Boyne to get half of our money back but I have little faith that this establishment will do what is simple, basic and human.

Beautiful Resort! Some beautiful rooms!
We checked in after a few hours on the road. We were assigned a room with a queen size bed and a pull out couch. The end of the couch nearest the windows had a panel separating from the couch with staples exposed. The room having two beds was expressly discussed with the Boyne Mountain reservation clerk when making the reservation. We entered a room and found two sets of towels, two drinking glasses, three plates; this room was clearly set up for two people! At least the Avalanche Bay Water Park passes were correct (Two adults & two children).

We went down to the desk and we PAID for an upgraded room that had two beds and a view of the lake. She didn't mention that you needed to stand on the far right side of the windows to see the lake. Otherwise you saw the building's mechanical equipment. This room was small, and had a bit of a different smell about it. - Still two sets of towels and glasses, etc. in this room with no microwave or patio. We gave up and just kept the truly downgraded room.

Very disappointed with Boyne Mountain Resort accommodations.

My family and I have enjoyed skiing this mountain for years, but there is not any added benefit to being a long term season pass holder here. The mountain is overpriced in comparison to nearby hills such as nub s nob.

Nice little mid-west ski hill. Decent amount of terrain and vertical considering the overall vast amount of flatness that is lower Michigan. Nice area to teach the kids to ski with a magic carpet and mellow slope.

There is one major issue they need to address when it comes to safety. Like most Michigan ski hills, there are snow guns EVERYWHERE. And there is ZERO padding or protection around any of them. You go to pretty much any ski resort out west and every solid object installed on the mountain has either padding or fencing protecting you from serious injury or death should you crash into one. They didn't even pad or fence off the snow gun towers when there was a high school ski race there. It's incredibly unsafe and Boyne needs to do something about it, especially considering the average skill level of skier that frequents mid-west ski hills.

This resort is fabulous! They've got something for everybody! Spa, skiing, water park, kids activities, nightlife (although we didn't partake so I can't speak to the quality). We stayed in a great condo right on the middle of it all. Can't wait to come back!

Outdated, unkept rooms really take away from the natural beauty of the location. And they do not let you know when things are closed until you are checking in and have already paid. Wouldn t go back until major changes are made.

Paid full price for a 3 day ski weekend here and wish I could get a full refund. Only about 1/6 of the runs were open and 4/12 chairlifts despite there being a few feet of snow on the ground. You'd think during a pandemic they would have multiple options open so people don t crowd around 1 or 2 lifts but apparently they don t care about their guests and let 100s of people crowd around a lift with 0 social distancing. We also got the breakfast package option. The first morning we tried calling the front desk and guest services for a good 30 minutes to try to figure out how to redeem that with the restaurant being closed and no one answered. When we finally went down to the front desk, they told us breakfast had ended 5 minutes ago. When we got out to the slopes, we got 3 runs in in about 2 and a half hours and called it due to the insane crowds. The workers have all been super nice and none of it is their fault, however, management should be ashamed. Overall, terrible ski weekend and we would ve been better off at treetops or literally anywhere else.

We were at the resort for the Lutheran Women's Missionary League convention and stayed in the Clock Tower. Our room looked just like the picture online. The rooms in that building have all been remodeled and are fresh and clean. I had read other reviews about bad smells and cleanliness. I only found two places with issues: the hallway of the Clock Tower smelled musty upon entry (our room was fine) and the ladies' restroom at the Matterhorn conference room had leaking toilets and smelled worse as the days went on. The staff was very friendly and helpful in all departments. Due to the large number of attendees, our dinners were changed from buffets to sit down. The banquet staff did an outstanding job of feeding well over 300 guests in EACH dining room. The food was excellent - especially the caramel cheese cake and death by chocolate cake! I have worked at another resort and know the challenges they face with such huge groups. The lack of elevators presented problems for some of the older ladies, but we were warned ahead of time by the resort. If the ventilation issues could be addressed, this resort would rate five stars in my book.

This was my first trip to Boyne mountain...if you are into winter wonderland scenery than Boyne mountain is definitely the place you ought to be...if you are a skiing efficiato then Boyne mountain is where you need to do your downhill slaloms...you can also do a variety of other winter activities there as well...there are an abundance of restaurants and activities to do in the area. So I would most definitely recommend the Boyne mountain area to all of those who may be wavering on going or not.

Took my niece and nephews skiing for the first time. It was a great experience. Staff was great and helpful. We were too late for the lessons so I taught them the basics, and let them learn on their own. It was such a great deal only renting the skis and having two open slopes for everyone to practice on. One lift was free to use which was great for my brother who was more advanced. I was not aware that we could take this lift until way later and got to try it one time before we left. I live in California now so this was definitely a great 1st time experience skiing in Michigan. I'd definitely come back again when in town.

I love that anyone can ski for free on the beginner areas. Also rental is very reasonably priced. However, Peak pricing for holidays and weekends is very expensive at about $80+ for a full day ticket for an adult.

My wife and I stayed here two years ago for our anniversary and loved it. Fast forward to today and we are just finishing a 3-night stay, and boy things have changed.

We stayed in a Mountain Villa that had brown water come out of the shower when you turned it on at first, enough coffee for a two night stay and vinyl flooring peeling up in the bathroom.

Receiving additional towels and coffee was a hassle and required multiple requests as the front desk appeared unintrtunintin providing any level of customer service. When displaying photos of the peeling flooring the front desk offered no resolutions or apologies.

The only reason for even a 2 Star review is because my wife really enjoyed the spa and we received great food at 40 Acres Tavern.

We always have a great time here. Ski runs are long and so fun. Just brought our 18 month old daughter for her first ski trip. She loved it and will keep coming back now as a family. So much to do everyone will enjoy it.
