Nice to place to hangout on weekend. With ice skating and bars nearby.

Very cool downtown area with splash park and cool shops.

Nice place to sit and relax. The kids loved the fountain, we all liked the shopping and ice cream.

I haven't been here for an event but it's a really pretty place to burn away an afternoon. There's so many shops nearby within walking distance and tons of things to do!

So many fun things happen at the square. There's concerts, markets, venders, shows, fountains for the kids to play in in the summer, and ice skating in the winter. Located within walking distance of some of the best restaurants rapid City has to offer. Parking next door in the garage is free on the weekends, and after business hours. Two blocks from memorial Park and the Civic center.

This place rocks. Be sure to bring plenty of cash for the homeless people.

Even though this place is normally packed it's still a ton of fun! The ice cream shop has some great flavors. There are rest rooms close by and plenty of small shops to explore. Always bring a towel when you come down to play in the water. The kids love it!

People are kinda irresponsible for picking up after themselves at events. Most people let their kids on sculptures which there is signs all around stating otherwise. Despite all that the events are awesome and there's a ton of things to do all year round.

This improvement to downtown Rapid City has done wonders to the atmosphere.

Family friendly, love all the shops. Kids love the fountains and all the events throughout the year.

Visiting from out-of-state. Great little area for kids to cool off and have fun at the Splash Pad. Little stores and quick bite shops all around the Square. Coffee, grilled cheese, candy, book store....all within a block s distance.

A unique addition to the many historical sights in the downtown district of rapid city. Live bands and events all summer and an ice skating ring in the winter, surrounded by a large variety of restaurants and specialty shops makes this a fun place that's cheap and convenient for family fun

Great place to ice skate. Very affordable. Only complaint is that the rental skates don't come in half or wide sizes. Also the ice could use a Zamboni. But great way to spend a few hours downtown with the family.

I love this place especially in the summer. Winter they have ice skating and in the summer they have fountains going and it's a great place to bring the kids. We could sit out there for hours playing in the water and enjoy some ice cream in the evening from silver lining. All kinds of events that are pretty fun as well.

Visit at night and go see "Graffiti Ally". Its really unique.

Cool down town space. Was surprised to find that in Rapid City.

Free cool family place to visit Thursday nights or live music there's ice cream on the side with water fountains everything kids will fall in love with and parents can sit down and relax and watch.

Great place for evening activities. Nice shops surround it but most of them close real early. Some nice restaurants in the area. The hold movie nights at some point in the year, they have fountains kids can play in, they turn the area into an ice skating rink during the winter. An ice cream shop is just a few blocks away. They have events all summer long so it is never a boring place.

It's a nice place to visit. Only drawback is the local vagrants who constantly beg and are usually intoxicated. If you have children keep an eye on them and possibly carry a weapon. If it wasn't for that it would be 5 stars.

Wonderful place for kids and family. Be sure to get some ice cream and visit Prairie Edge accoss the street.

Love this area but a lot on panhandling which drives you nuts.

The square is always clean and the fountains are fun!! please turn down or turn off the music playing at the square. It's too loud to comfortably talk with others or get your kids attention

Creepy music but super clean and pleasant public space.

Our event was the Heart Walk. We have started our festivities there for the last few years. The staff is great and extremely helpful. Obviously the location is perfect in the center of town. Lots of publicity as we are highly visual in that location. I appreciate the people behind starting the Square going. It is a great addition to our town!

Great events available constantly. The area is well kept so it's constantly clean and maintained. The staff are friendly and a great family place to go to sit downtown or participate in an event.

I was happy to spend time with my daughter. And she enjoyed the water fountains with her cousin. It's really nice down at Main Street Square

The Square is a great place to take the family. My son loves the fountain. He wouldn't leave if we didn't make him.

One of the best things about down town. Need to ensure bathrooms are open all day though. Fountains and the constant events make it a winner.

Fun place to meet with friends and family, lots of places to see

We stopped for lunch and they were setting up for a concert in the main square. I wish we had more time to hang out and enjoy the festivities, but Main Street Square is a lot of fun.

Busy a lot of the time, pedestrians need to know what crosswalks are.

Everytime we go it's clean and there is something fun going on. During the summer we drove from Belle fouche to do the movies under the stars and everytime it was a lot of fun and business ran specials during the event. Now only if Spearfish and Belle Fouche could figure it out!

If you are visiting rapid city, stop here. Always something to do downtown and Main Street Square is usually at the epicenter. They have a dedicated site listing all the events and when they happen.

Coolest part of downtown. Summer Nights events are entertaining and it becomes an ice skating runk in the winter. Multiple cool events throughout the year.

Plenty of choices for great food plenty of shopping and activities. Great family atmosphere.

Great place to watch the children enjoy the splash pad. Lots of shaded seating, cool breezes. restaurants and restrooms all around. Convenient parking structure that is free on holidays and weekends.

This is a good place to bring the kids year-round, there is always something going on.

When in Rapid City, This city square and surrounding streets have everything a native or tourist to My. Rushmore could want. My destination was Mitzi's Bookstore and grabbed a great mint chocolate cone from another small business ice cream parlor. That is what Rapid City, S.D. is about small businesses that are open, masks optional thank goodness and Family/Couple activities.
Plenty of upscale eating and drinking too.
Visit but don't move here....I would like it to stay like it is...just right.

This is a great open park that faces a water feature everyone can play in. The cafes nearby with outdoor seating are lovely too. Public bathroom for when you need to dry off! What a great community resource!

Great improvement to doen town rapid city. I love ice skating here I the winter and watching movies in the park in the summer . The splash pad is a great place to cool off for the kids in the summer time.
