BSA and getting my Eagle forged friendships and taught me to never stop learning and growing. More importantly it taught me to not get stuck in what I am doing but to look for opportunities to help others.

Boy Scouts is a wonderful organization that helps boys grow, develop and find their passion in life. One of the best things that has happened to my son & peers helping them move from childhood to adulthood.

Great organization. Taught me skills in many areas of life. One big aspect was giving back to your community. I am a confident young man because of my experiences in Boy Scouts. It makes you a mentally tougher, more responsible, positive action oriented person. Cheers to the Boy Scouts.

Boy Scouts of America is one of the very few remaining 'rights of passage' for boys into manhood. Through scouting, our boys have first-hand experience in leadership, citizenship, and survival skills. Their confidence was built through the opportunities to lead as teammates as well as choose their own paths of interest. Scouting is a positive, educational journey for ALL boys and young men; regardless of level of need or expertise. I am proud to be part of an organization that does not discriminate between the 'haves' and the 'have nots' - everyone is welcome. Affordability is always present through scholarships and donations, again - everyone is welcome. Adult leaders, volunteers, and donations are always needed, as running a troop requires a commitment of money and time. Boy Scouts of America is a great program with deep roots in our American culture of raising young men into greatness.

I'm trying to find a pack that meets on Tuesdays around Independence, Blue Springs, or Lee's Summit. My son was all excited to be a Tiger this year but with work and school Tuesday is my only open week day evening.

I have left multiple messages for the head of the Elk District and have not received any reply.

Why can't anyone help me find a pack for Tuesday evenings or give the courteous of returning my call and letting me know there isn't a pack that meets Tuesdays.

Depends on why you're there. The shop can have decent sales, however if you are needing info on anything scout related, it is always much better service here than trying to get help over the phone. Highly suggest this location for all your scouting needs.

I have been doing Scouts since 1998. Both of my boys are Eagle Scouts. I am so glad I am done and they are done. Scouts has become a living nightmare. It is not always improving, only raising fees and giving less help to those in need. It is ran as horribly as our Government is and is ran by a bunch of cranky old men that think their in the White House. In 17 years it has done nothing but go down hill farther and farther. Sorry but that's the way I feel about it. Most of it has to do with the awful Troop I was in but some has to do with HOAC off Holmes too! I did check out other Troops and I swear the men were worse in each one I checked out. Scouts is not the military< and least of all is there for a bunch of wore out old men who just want to pat themselves on the back and show-off their beads>. Beads are for the kids, men should wear them to show the kids pride in what the KIDS do, not for their own self worth and bragging crap!!!! Seriously some of you old farts need to stop ruining Scouts for these boys. You people are ridiculous!!!! Whats sad is there is quite a few of you who are so wonderful and do such a wonderful job but you are to few and far between!!!

The men who work here are outstanding. Very helpful and nice gentlemen. The stuff in the store is extremely pricey though. The Boy Scouts force you to have certain things for your uniform, and they price gouge. Not this individual location's fault...but, still sad because it probably forces a lot of lower income folks to not be able to participate in scouts.

Biggest Scam I've ever been a part of. Scout leader Scott was awesome with the kids, unfortunately along with every meet there were hands out asking for money. That's all I feel the organization is about at this point. We paid a camp deposit in December, $50, then leading up to May we paid for shirts, we paid the other $90 for camp, in the end my son couldn't attend and I'm told that they give no refunds. They sent me information to send in a letter for a refund to the camp council, I have sent 6 so far, 1 a day for a complete week, another today along with numerous emails. The first letter went out 5/30/2014, ten days later I still hadn't heard anything, so I sent a letter a day between 6/10 - 6/13, still hadn't heard anything, and this was all before camp took place. It is now 7/9/14 and I still have yet to hear anything so I'm writing everywhere I can at this point. My son will not be attending scouts ever again. The only reason I'm giving them one star is because it will not let me rate this organization with no stars.

Update: Received a letter in the mail 3 months later stating that the committee denied my request for a refund and that the decision is final. Signed Mark Brayer.

This is the worst outfit I've ever been a part of. I hope everyone interested in putting their kids in Boy Scouts will refrain from doing so in this area. This whole organization is only in it for the money.

About Boy Scouts of America > Cub Scouts

Boy Scouts of America > Cub Scouts: A Fun and Educational Experience for Kids

Scouting is a time-honored tradition that has been enjoyed by generations of young people. The Boy Scouts of America is one of the most well-known organizations in the world, providing kids with opportunities to learn new skills, make friends, and have fun. One of the most popular programs offered by the Boy Scouts is Cub Scouts.

Cub Scouting is designed for boys and girls in kindergarten through fifth grade. It's a program that emphasizes fun, hands-on learning, and achievement. Through Cub Scouting, kids have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities that help them develop important life skills.

One of the key benefits of Cub Scouting is that it puts kids right in the middle of the action. They get to explore their interests and passions while working on projects with other kids their age. Whether they're building a pinewood derby car or learning how to tie knots, there's always something exciting happening in Cub Scouting.

Another benefit of Cub Scouting is that it prepares kids for today – and for life. The program teaches important values like honesty, respect, responsibility, and citizenship. These are values that will serve children well as they grow up and become adults.

Cub Scouting also provides opportunities for families to get involved together. Parents can volunteer as den leaders or assist with activities like camping trips or community service projects. This allows families to spend quality time together while also giving back to their communities.

In addition to all these benefits, Cub Scouting also offers plenty of opportunities for advancement. As children complete various tasks and earn badges along the way, they gain confidence in themselves and their abilities.

Overall, if you're looking for an organization where your child can learn new skills while having fun at the same time – look no further than Boy Scouts > Cub Scouts! With its emphasis on hands-on learning and achievement-oriented activities combined with strong values-based education; this program provides an excellent foundation upon which your child can build his/her future success!
