Front desk service was great and was very pleased with the pricing of a storage area for our camper.

Valerie was outstanding she was very helpful very knowledgeable he knew what you was doing and the rates were excellent

2nd stint in 2017: Still the best experience I've had with self-storage. We are moving into a home which has more space so no longer needed but would not hesitate to deal with again. A+. Older: Justin is a pleasure to deal with, polite and conscientious. Used for storage of our Pop up trailer for about six months. Would definitely seek out again if the need arises.

We moved from Illinois to Maryland and the people at Bowman went above and beyond to make our offload into storage simple and hassle free. They even made sure to book two units side by side so our driver and moving crew could have access to both units without having to move the truck. Super friendly, very professional and refreshingly accommodating. Bowman puts the customer first!

They were great. Clean and easy to access. Canceling was easy when we no longer needed it. Would recommend.

We were looking for a storage lot for a new camper we bought. Several locations did not return calls for estimates but Bowman Self Storage was very helpful. As new owners for a camper the Manager was very helpful in identifying a location that made parking our camper very easy. Later in the day we were able to park our camper successfully on the first try!

The satellite map needs to be updated, the lot has expanded all the way to English Muffin Way. It now even includes large covered spots for larger RVs and buses, we even saw some with power.

Reasonable price, clean storage space, & great customer service.

We rented with Bowman's for over the past year. Their service has always been 1st rate, and their price was good as well. Justin has been on top of this operation during this whole time. I was even able to set up a rental while out-of-state. Thank you for being professional and personable!

Very friendly and helpful staff makes it quick and easy to rent space or storage units. Closer is not always better. I would go out of my way to use Bowman Self Storage on Navistar Drive.

I have used storage in several places and without a doubt Bowman Plains is the best as far as ease of doing business. The manager Justin is a pleasure to work with and is very accommodating.

I did research on prices and found Bowman Plains prices closer to storage in the mid-west, rather than in the Greater DC area, where I live. My move-in was phenomenal. Justin the manager was tech-savvy, respectful, knowledgeable and totally helpful in explaining the charges. The place is a bit tricky to find, but very safe location. Google maps gave me incorrect directions.

By far the kindest, most efficient office and setup. Lora is an absolute gem, she could not have been more helpful. I m so happy I found Bowman s Plains Storage!

We put our pop up trailer into storage at Bowman's in 2009. The management at that time was just awful. They always seemed angry and coming to get the trailer always felt like we were visiting a prisoner in a supermax prison - watched every moment, told to hurry it up, sent nasty letters because we actually opened the door to look inside of it, etc. The first winter we put a cover on it while it was in it's space. That got us an immediate nasty letter about it and we were told to tow it off the site, cover it, and then tow it back. Absurd. Then we needed to get new tires. I asked if we could just take the tires off in the storage space. Nope. We had to tow it out to a parking lot across the street, take the tires off, and then LEAVE our trailer sitting out there by itself til we could get back with the new tires. God help us if we'd ever found a flat tire. They would have made us drag the trailer out on the flat. Then Justin took over and it's been so much better! We bought a new trailer and I made sure I told him that we'd be moving out the pop up and bringing in the new RV and he was very relaxed about it - no instant demand for the proof of insurance, tag # and all of that. After our first outing in the trailer I realized we'd left some perishable food in it so I emailed him that I would be coming to get the food out and to please not get angry because I was going to have to open the door and get inside the trailer. He was completely fine with it and told me to take my time. He responds to emails very fast

Excellent facilities and assistance, access and location.

24 hour access. But rules of how long you may visit your property....I understand but that's my monthly opinion. I pay storage, not visitation.

The storage is good place and secure. The downside is no pro rate after empty the storage earlier than a full month.

Great storage lot. Clean secure and comes with extremely nice management.

I contacted Bowman Plains Self Storage for assistance and advice on how to economically handle the storage needs for my aging mother. I have a lot of experience with storage units, but this situation is different - insurance, consolidation, terms, etc. The Assistant Manager, Valerie, helped me and she is clearly an extremely knowledgeable person. I simply couldn't have figured this out without her. Thank you, Valerie. I will definitely use this facility.

This is a great place for self storage around Fredrick, MD area. Even though I live 21 miles away I have a storage unit here because it's affordable and 24/7 access.

Justin is very helpful with everything and is professional.

Only thing I would wish for is additional electronic surveillance, more durable gates, and higher fencing.

Most storage places are roughly the same in terms of where you can park your boat. But the management and staff at Bowman Plains is fantastic. They handle problems, like credit cards you had to dump due to a stolen wallet, all in stride. If I ever need to use a Self Storage place again I will go straight to Bowman Plains Self Storage. BTW they are investing a huge amount to improve their facility, so it will be even better.

Been using this place for years. Unit and staff are great. Just don't like that the price has been increasing for at least the last 3 or so years.

Very patient helpful & attentive. Huge property, if you have a big vehicle or trailer & need a place to keep it this place has plenty of parking space!

Bowman Plains is conveniently located, reasonably priced, and very clean. Plus the manager, Lora, is super friendly and accommodating. This was the perfect place for us when we needed short term storage. If we ever need storage again -- this will be our go to place.

I rented a space here for over 3 years. My 3 star rating is in no way reflective of Justin the manager whatsoever. It has to do with the fact that I had a mice infestation problem in my non-climate controlled unit #341. Judging from what they left behind besides destroyed irreplaceable keepsakes, there must have been well over a hundred of them. It was quite disappointing but I cleaned up all of it and left my unit immaculate. When I mentioned the problem I was told that peppermint oil around the door would have deterred the mice. Too little too late.

The staff is always courteous and helpful. On my last visit looking for a little better space to store my boat they worked very hard to keep me satisfied. Been a customer for 3 years now, and never been unhappy with my choice.

Good service, but the facilities are in need of some updating and repair; there are a few potholes in the pavement, and the outer walls have some dents where customers have backed into them. Also, at least in the building where my unit was located, there's some minor dust and dirt accumulation, and there's a large grimy stain near the entrance where the doormat has been removed.

However, service-wise, we never had a problem; the staff is always pleasant and professional, and they've always processed our payments on time. Overall, Bowman Plains Mini Storage is a good option, but they could definitely stand to make some improvements.

The storage manager is always so friendly and helpful when I call and the storage area is kept up with very nicely. By far the best storage place I ve gone to. The prices are fair and you won t find anything better. Highly recommend!!!

I don't recommend Bowman storage for anyone seeking to store their RV. In fact, I recommend fellow RV'ers avoid Bowman's altogether. I rented a space in Nov 2011 and took the motorhome out four times in six months. Each time I received a nasty letter from the management that I had violated their storage policy, primarily that I had taken too long to pick up or drop off the coach. To be sure, I take a bit of time on both ends, basically conducting a safety check on the vehicle before I leave the parking area (check lights/brakes, eyeball tires, look for anything unusual, etc.), and run through a quick security/shutdown checklist as I exit (shut off master power, open the fridge, pull the blinds, lock the door). I'm very cautious driving on the facility, carefully following the 5 mph speed limit through the narrow passageway. I occasionally require more than one attempt to back the unit into its space. On one occasion I pasted a registration decal on my license plate before I exited the facility. I also removed a satellite box when I got back. Beyond that, it's get in, open the unit, make the safety check, drive out, drive back, shut down, lock the unit, exit. Last week was the final straw: another nasty-gram. When my wife called to ask what the problem was, she was told we took 28 minutes between entering and exiting, and that the "normal" time should be no longer than five minutes. I'm sorry, it takes about that long to drive safely from the gate to my parking space. I'm simply not built that way. Maybe I'm slow, but I just won't take those kind of risks simply because of their policy. The good news is I found a wonderful storage facility at a beautiful campground in Woodbine MD for the same price, and it's just as close to my home. The Woodbine crew are experienced RV'ers, delightful personalities, and know what it takes to operate an RV safely. My recommendation: stay away from Bowman's.

From the start of me calling to me actually renting the storage I had a positive experience. It was a seamless process and all of the people involved were personable and professional.

I called to get some information and Valerie was very nice and informative. After I got all the info I drove over and took a short look the unit I was interested in and then went to the office to sign up. Everything was quick, easy and safe. Thanks.

I had a good experience once I got a gate entry code that worked. The initial code did not work so I had to get a temporary code which took time while I could have been inside and half finished with the unloading process. I would suggest a faster way to address non working codes. People moving without a working phone have a difficult time verifying identity to obtain a code.

The price was good (much better than u-haul a couple block away) but I recently got my stuff out and couldn't believe how dirty everything was. When I signed up for the unit I asked about mice and they said they didn't have a problem or complaints. Ha, there must have been families of mice in there...it was awful. Although the guy in the office was always very nice when I brought things to his attention he didn't seem concerned!

I've rented storage units at a number of different places, but Bowman's Plains really stands out. Sure the prices are very reasonable, access is both secure and accessible, and the units are well maintained, but what really makes this place stand out is the staff. Lora, the manager, has gone out of her way to accommodate us when we needed help. That s the kind of personal attention that puts Bowman s Plains above the others!

I worked with Valerie (who is awesome by the way), who set me up over the phone and helped me when I came in to sign documentation. I had space #413 which was clean when I moved my things in, they have locks you can buy but I opted to purchase one on my own and use. The space was a 10 x 15 which was more than enough room for what I needed. The price was better than anyone else could do with also having 24 hour access which some places do not. I would definitely recommend Bowman Plains for your storage needs and I'd definitely use them again when the time comes. Thanks again Valerie and Bowman Plains!!!

The asst.mgr. Valerie was available to answer all of my questions and very helpful in the entire process. Her patience and gracious telephone skills were exceptional compared to the other storage businesses I spoke to on the same day. Ive already referred a friend and have benefitted by the "refer a friend" program. As did my friend.

Lora and Valerie are wonderful! Very welcoming and cordial. They are skilled at helping work through any special storage needs you may have and at answering all of your questions. We have a climate controlled unit, and have always found it to be maintained at a comfortable temperature year round to protect our belongings. The facility is also very secure, much more so than some of the other facilities in the area. I feel safe accessing our inside unit alone. I've been leasing here for the past 6 years, and I have been very happy with the services. Justin is a great property manager to deal with. I wish they would reintroduce the old payment structure, where you'd receive one month free if you paid 6 months upfront.

We experienced a very warm professional, and friendly welcome! Brittany and Laura were amazing but showing us our new unit with a smile! We honestly felt like family. Our unit is absolutely amazing!
