Bournemouth Rock Review

Nice sand and nice sea, a bit on the colder side. Plenty of p aces to eat and drink. Make sure you bring your umbrella, chair, tent etc to be comfortable. It gets really crowded on nice days so make sure to come early. If you think the Pier side is crowded, walk a bit further down, it becomes less busy. There are showers as well but in the afternoon you have long queues. Plenty of parking space if you drive down there. Try to pick one of the closer parking garages near to the Pier. Children love playing in the sand. Although fairly clean, always be careful as I dig out some pieces of broken glass here and there. There are some other type of attractions like billiard, ataris etc. A nice alternative if it is a hot day and you want to swim.

Everything a pier should be on a cold, wet Winter day. No mulled wine but coffee was top notch.

This is one of my favourite place .I like it because clean water beach and good fun for kids on rides.

Have to pay to walk onto a pier to go to get food, look at shops or activities.. Must be for the upkeep but all we wanted to do it walk to the end and back.

I visited here on May bank holiday weekend, the place was rammed,was going to bring my mate Ben along with me, but he was scared of the covid, but said it looks fab and will join me next time.

Walking down the pier is not even free anymore. Ridiculous.

Take change so you can promenade on the pier. Lovely panoramic views

I love Bournemouth. This lovely seaside town has many memorable moments from childhood to present.
The Christmas tree winter wonderland is an event not to be missed.

Needs attractions despritly what are the kids suppose to do, play on the beach all day long??

Great position and views over the beach. Only downside is drink prices very high in the bar.

Great views from here all the way along the coast. Fun amusements onsite and right next to one of the world's best beaches.

It's a beautiful walk, made more interesting by the various strains of weed in the air. Was exceptionally hungry by the time I'd finished my cardio on the beach. Recommend you bring snacks.

Lovely pier. Staff a bit abrasive in the restaurant.

I love to come here for a walk. Very beautiful view of coast line and Bournemouth gardens and the city.

It was fine. A bit breezy, but warm out of the wind.

Sometimes have to pay to go on the pier but at least it is free presently. Went for a drink on pier to enjoy sea view but paid the price with high drink prices. An enjoyable experience all the same as the sun went down.

Beautiful beach, lovely eateries in close proximity, unfortunately the weather wasn't the best, but was fortunately able to socially distance with ease..

Bournemouth would not be Bournemouth without the pier. A lovely place to stroll over the sea and watch the world of water sports go by. The pier is great at all times of the year, but it is at its best in the Summer when the paddle steamer Waverley visits, a real blast from the past. Great views along the coast and there is a reasonable, but quite pricey, cafe bar at the end of the pier.

Beautiful sandy beach. Pier very clean and the bar at the end has some great food and drinks. My toddler enjoyed the rides. All in all a great day out. Normally piers in other seaside towns and run down and dingy with a rough crowd. Bournemouth pier is a refreshing change and showed they can be good.

Probably one of the better piers, lots to do but you have to pay. The pier to shore zip wire is great to watch but expensive to go on

Amazing atmosphere....lovely people....best all round....has all features whats not to like.

Great view. Great picnic spot with the beach and restaurants as well as quick bites. Parking space available. Great for sunsets.

Not free until 6pm, which lets it down. On the small side of scales.

Nice to sit in the restaurant and see the sea on both sides. Food pretty good.
